Office of Attorney General - State of Maine Reviews

  • Jul 15, 2018

This accurate report is being written under protection of the Bill of Rights - Freedom of Speech - which was upheld by the United States Supreme Court.

A wise man once said, ABSOLUTE CORRUPTION, CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY. No truer words were said, when it comes to the horrible way my husband and I were treated by the State of Maine, Attorney General's Office.

We have been battling this for almost 2 years now. It all began when we were victims of a negligent real estate agent in Bangor, Maine. As a result of this agent's failure to disclose negative information and failure to protect our interest, we suffered greatly.

Financial Loss and alot of emotional pain and suffering. With no money to hire a good lawyer, we filed a serious complaint with the Maine Real Estate Commission. Despite all the work and effort we put into the complaint and rebuttal - 9 months later, our complaint was Dismissed.

The Commission sent a biased investigator, named Bruce Osborne, to our home who treated us like we were in court and he was the attorney for the real estate agent. His dismissal was biased against us, and he made statements that were NOT true. He did this deliberately and with willful malice.

We filed a complaint against the investigator and Real Estate Commission, with the State of Maine Commissioner's office. They, in turn, sent it to the Attorney General's Office.

We were told that we would get an APPEAL OF THE DISMISSAL AND A REVIEW OF THE CASE AGAINT THE REAL ESTATE AGENT!

Well, my friends, THAT NEVER HAPPENED.

On July 2nd, we got a phone call from an attorney in the AG's office named Andrew Black. This man said, THEY JUST DUMPED THIS WHOLE THING ON MY DESK TODAY.

He seemed annoyed that we would DARE to make a complaint against a fellow State Worker - possibly a friend of his. He was rude, overbearing and would not allow me to talk. He said that he was only looking for Criminal Activity on the part of the investigator. I said, WHAT ABOUT THE INVESTIGATOR MINIMIZING, AND DISTORTING OUR COMPLAINT ON PAPER, THEN SHOWING IT TO 5 COMMITTEE MEMBERS?

This is when Mr. Black became Belligerent! He threatened 3 times to TERMINATE THE CONVERSATION. Of course he did not care that he was speaking to a woman old enough to be his mother. I tried to hold my own, then this Black hung up on me.

It gets much worse.

I tried to get help from Janet Mills - the Attorney General herself and left a detailed message on the voice mail of her assistant. When I called back on July 5th, MY HUSBAND AND I ARE NOW BLACKLISTED FROM CALLING HER OFFICE.

The receptionist would NOT put me though to either Ms. Mills or anyone else in the Attorney General's Office. How is that for protecting the citizens?

On July 6th, I sought help from the Governor's Office. An aide to the Governor made a phone call, on our behalf, to this State Attorney, Andrew Black. Mr. Black informed the aide that the Complaint has ALREADY BEEN DISMISSED!

HE DID THIS OUT OF PURE SPITE AND CONTEMPT FOR US.

A few days later, we got a letter from this Andrew Black, written July 9th, that it had been dismissed.

Here is the kicker here!

The whole file, consisted of over 125 pages of material. Black claims to had a staff member read the file.

NOW LET'S GET REAL HERE! IT IS A PHYSICAL IMPOSSIBILITY FOR ANYONE TO HAVE READ AND DIGESTED OVER 125 PAGES IN JUST 4 DAYS OR LESS!!!

The truth here, is that the Attorney General's Office did NOT want to read the material nor get involved.

They care nothing about the misery my husband and I have been through.

They just look at us as MAL-CONTENTS WHO DARED TO FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST A FELLOW STATE EMPLOYEE.

We filed a complaint, with the Human Resources Director for the Attorney General's Office. However, that Director seems to have a cold and uncaring attitude against us as well. He certainly did NOT seem pleased that we filed a complaint against a State Attorney - who clearly abused us.

What they need to realize is that the PEOPLE pay taxes and those taxes pay the inflated salaries of those State Employees.

Thus, their loyalty should be with the Citizens of Maine, but - alas - it is not.

Ask yourself, dear readers, DO STATE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES TRULY HELP THE CITIZENS, WHAT THAT CITIZEN FILES A COMPLAINT AGAINST A COMPANY OR A STATE WORKER?

The truthful answer, in most cases, is NO.

The people need real change, in Maine, so that State Government starts to for For the People and Not Against Them.
