Nyco Systems Reviews

  • Nov 13, 2018

In January 2015 I sent a motor needing repair to Adam at Nyco Systems in Rialto, CA, and a few days later he emailed a repair quote.

I called to tell them to go ahead with the repair. I called a week later to check status and nobody answered the phone. I left a message, nobody called back. I left six phone messages and sent three emails over the following three weeks, never got a reply, never got the motor returned.

I get the feeling this "company" is like one sketchy dude working from a dingy garage.

I sent a Fieldpiece SMAN3 to them. USPS tracking showed they got it two days later. I called and emailed every week for several weeks. They were supposed to give me a quote on the work needing done. No response except leaving voicemails. I then told them on a voicemail that I was calling the Lawerancebury KY police [which I did]. They immediately sent me a bill for return postage on my Fieldpiece saying they could not fix it.

They wanted me to give them my credit card number, which I refused to do and they have refused to send my instrument back to me.

I need my instrument back. I talked to the policeman and he said he would go by and talk with them -- that was a couple hours ago. So far he has not gotten back with me.

The address is a single family house in the country with a swimming pool and a person golfing area. No possible way they could repair 150,000 different electronic instruments in that location -- which is where they had me send my device.

I hope someone is able to shut down that scam operation.

Wow, what a disaster of a company NYCO is. All complains about them are legit. Do not send work to this company unless you want to get screwed. No communication at all. They work from a tiny house so dont think you are dealing with any kind of a large establishment. My Story: Send in a chiller board to get it repaired. They quoted 8 days which sounded fair at the time so the next morning I emailed them back all paperwork including credit card information. After about three weeks I called/emailed to check up on the status. Just like the rest of us, they stopped picking up and returing phone calls. ( They get upset when you call 2 weeks after thier dead line and check up on the status. Go figure ) Finally got them on the phone, they stated (big lie) that they are waiting for a part in US Customs? They dont know when the part is coming in. After another week of communication silence, they emailed me back with a time frame of 2 to 3 weeks. Being naive I called a few other shops and they all quoted me 3 days to repair this board. I called back NYCO to ask to get MY board back, which they refused. I have no idea why??? Called my credit card company and put a stop payment and even told them about it. Now they wont return my board. They are holding it for ransom of some kind. The job is not completed and they want me to pay for it? They wont release the board back to me. They are way past due on there lead time and want to get paid without repairing my board. For NYCO : Maybe you should inform the customer after the 8 days that it will take longer then expected and then the customer will make the decision to go ahead or you return the board to them. You are in no position to make the decision for the customer if he wants to proceed or not. Hell how about sticking to your original deadline? Worst company I have ever dealt with. Stay away.
