Purchased a Powertrain Warranty from this company and they deny everything that needs repair if claim is filed. 4 months into purchasing my car my transmission failed. NVP Warranty claims my Powertrain covers Engines and transmissions as well as components. That was a lie. My car sat in the shop for 2wks waiting for an inspector to come take a look and the following week they finally gave the shop an answer and denied my claim.

I kept asking why purchase the Warranty if they weren't gonna honor it? They gave me a bogus answer and it was because they don't cover transmissions. I paid out of pocket and storage fees due to them taking 2 wks to send an inspector. Did I get my money back NO. This is a terrible company. I contacted the BBB. Please never purchase a NVP Warranty you'll be paying out of pocket for every repair.

Covered Claims

NVP Warranty, takes pride in paying valid claims in a timely fashion. Most complaints come when a customer does not read what will cause the contract to not cover a claim. One of the main reasons that claims are denied is that the contract holder continued to operate the vehicle after a part has failed and ends up causing more damage. But without knowing who posted the review I would not be able to address this. NVP is proud of our customer service and would be happy to address any concerns regarding claims, or the claims process.

Covered Claims

NVP Warranty has to administer the contracts as they are written. This means that if a part is not listed for coverage on the contract it will not be covered. Just like with any other type of vehicle service contract there are exclusions to coverage. This mean that if one of the exclusions are met then the part would not be eligible for coverage. These exclusion are things like if you keep driving the vehicle after the part has broken and cause more damage. I hope this helps. If you would like to get more clarification please call our office and speak with a customer service rep.

Issues before a contract is signed

I am not able to see who left this remark, but just from reading the notes it looks like this transmission might have had problems before the contract was signed. If that was the case the contract will not cover items that were damaged or defaulting before the contract was active. If that was the case then the transmission would not have been covered under the contract. As for the issue with the inspectors. I work with the claims adjusters and so far the longest inspection took 3 days to complete. What we have seen is a repair shop not notify NVP that a part have been taking down to the point of failure so we can identify what went wrong with the vehicle. If you would like I will include my email on this response. This way you can contact me and we can go over it together. I hope to hear from you.

I had a vehicle that had an engine failure even given that i owned the car less than 38 days. The nvp said the work done prior was not correct. The shop that the dealership had work on the car provided all information that the parts and labor met the requirements. The company still disapproved the claim.

Same as all the other warranty companies (bad)

Why even have a warranty company when repairs that should be covered are not? To get into their "perfect window" of covered repairs is impossible. They will only cover what they term is a catastrophic failure of certain parts. Even when one of the catastrophic failures occur, it was because something was worn out and caused the event. Claim denied. Why would anyone ever buy one of these warranty agreements for a used car? Of course things are going to wear out, ITS A USED CAR. 4 year old Jeep with 80k miles. One day garage floor covered with oil. Oil cooler assembly failure. Sorry, not covered. Glad I didn't have to pay for this scam coverage, came free with vehicle. Should have taken the free car wash instead. Will not go back to dealer who offered it either. Reputation is everything. Neither has a good one in my opinion.
