Do NOT buy anything from this place. I had a quality issue with a product and the company was very difficult with returns and basically shirked every responsibly whatsoever. Take a look at their site - it has zero information on its products and it basically says no to everything regarding its product-related questions in the FAQ page. Basically they want no responsibility for anything they sell and pretty much are just mules with zero instructions on how to take the products and say to just consult with a doctor. Clearly they want no responsibility and their products are QUESTIONABLE. My mother got so sick off of their product and they still refused to return everything and they charged me for shipping in items that I needed to return for their horrible products. They even try to stick on a restocking fee. Trust me this site is a scam and I do not recommend anyone to buy anything!!

I have been ordering Yucca Extract, in bulk, from Nutricargo, for years. A bland powder that has always been of the same consistent quality. The company has been out of stock of this item for long periods of time. So I order the product way ahead of when I need it and when a coupon is available. That wey if there are any problems in availability, I don't have to worry about any delays, which has lasted for months in the past.

I ordered my last batch in May of 2015, and didn't open it until December. It's a powdered extract and I live in Las Vegas, so the product stores well in a dry climate. When I put a teaspoon in a glass of water I was appalled at the really strong bitter flavor. A taste that stays in the mouth for a long time. I wondered about the safety of the powder due to the overwhelming taste, and also tasted the last of an old batch I was just finishing up, to make sure I hadn't overlooked a bitter taste before, but my old batch was just plain bland.

So I contacted the company by phone, long distance, 3 times. My phone calls were never returned. i emailed them, the emails weren't returned. Finally after one more phone call where I was disconnected,I received an email saying to file for a return. Within a couple of minutes of my filing for a return I received an email saying that I had to file for a return within 30 day,and since I had ordered the product in May, I was out of luck. It was very early in the morning when I got the refusal of return email, so I assume the email was computer generated.

I have rarely received such appalling customer service. I am a long-standing customer. I have been ordering the same product for years without issue. I asked for a return shipping label, so it is not as if I wanted anything for free. And I would think first and foremost that the company would want the product returned so that they could do a proper evaluation about the quality and safety of the product they sent out. As I've had the old batch of Yucca that I ordered ages before this order and there is no bitter aftertaste, I have to assume that storage would have nothing to do with the strong bitterness of the new batch of Yucca.

I did emphasize that I was about to run out and wanted a replacement (if their current batch wasn't bitter) as soon as possible. The fact that after repeated phone calls I was unable to have a conversation about this issue with anyone from the company makes me question just how this company operates.

Fortunately I found out that the vitamin company "NOW" puts out a 4:1 extract of Yucca and I have ordered their product. Otherwise Nutricargo and their other company "Ecuadorian Rainforest" were the only places I could find a 4:1 extract of Yucca since Jarrow discontinued this product years ago.
