He is a LIAR, THIEF, and a CHEAT. This man botched my hernia surgery. After repeated visits to his office following surgery to let him know my concerns, that the hernia was still there and in fact worse, he finally acknowledged that my hernia was still present and tried to blame me. Then tells me I'm a candidate for mesh repair after he had railed against mesh, and oh by the way I'm on the hook for the cost of the second surgery for him to redo what was not done right the first time. Oh no, I'm currently in talks with an attorney to move forward with a med malpractice case against him. You have been WARNED, STAY FAR FAR AWAY.

Dr. Kevin Petersen ripoff. This man got me with the oldest con known to man. I have the cure for all your pain! Every symptom I told him he said this is all due to hernia mesh. I would be pain free no more pain meds and back to work like my old self. Non of this happened with mesh removal. In fact it made me much worse off. More pain more health issues and more disabled. After this brutal surgery he was zero help. He went into the stall tactics. I am also out alot of money only to be made worse.

Please do not let this individual touch you in anyway. Do not let him manipulate you or misdiagnose you into mesh removal or have you thinking you will be ok if he removes your nerves and mesh. You may need mesh removal but you may not and his only way to tell is asking you what your pain level is. He is merely guessing and experimenting for the sake of money, your business and to publish a personal book and the profiting off of reselling mesh to Canada for research. Do not be part of his experiments. He has a bad record of criminal activity. He is misdiagnosing people into getting mesh removal. He does not know what he's doing. This has

all been documented. This man is making people extremely worse off and not disclosing it to the public. He is lying in his consultations. Yes mesh hurts people but mesh removal hurts people just as bad and also far worse and he either doesn't know what harm he is doing or doesn't care but he is cleverly marketing his success of it falsely online, having anyone with mesh thinking they should have it removed.

He uses google adds and trolls Facebook to get business. His approach to removing laparoscopically placed mesh is unethical, un necessary and negligent according to professionals. He causes serious trauma going in openly and deep

from your naval to pubic bone. He has seriously injured human beings after telling them they would be ok and not to worry and that mesh removal is his favorite procedure. He claims he remove the most mesh but it's at the expense of the patients quality of life. There are surgeons who will remove lap placed mesh laparoscopically the way it went in and will agree that removing it openly creates serious trauma. He removes vital nerves and causes paralysis to patients who were not paralyzed before mesh removal. He knows that he is paralyzing people and will non hesitate to operate on you knowing it will not benefit you. He creates a do

good image for himself online and in the media pretending he is on your side and will play on your emotions. He takes advantage of his position as a doctor to mis diagnose mesh victims as candidates for removal. This has been confirmed. Do not believe his website or him. He uses cute dog videos and a fake public image on his website and in the media to gain the trust of people. He set up a non profit foundation with his second ex wife to make himself look good. He is a con man and a fraud. He is using psychology to lure mesh victims into removal. Be aware. He lies about removing your nerves and is known to use mesh when it's needed from

his mistakes. This individual has a checkered past both in his personal and business life. Request his records from the medboard of Nevada and Chicago and talk to patients or family members and you will see. License revocation in Chicago for tax fraud. Prescribing dangerous blood pressure medication online without a face to face consultations. Lawsuit for breaking a woman's spine before surgery and performing surgery on her anyway. A 10 person class action lawsuit (mostly hispanics) for creating larger hernias on them from his no mesh repair to profit from second procedures. Jail time for evading child support. Class action lawsuits for the

loss of testicles from patients. This is all public information and you can dig for them online or request them from proper organizations like the med board or legal sites. He has cleverly relocated practices on multiple occasions ending up in Vegas where there is more lenient laws on practicing doctors. When patients try and share their experiences he bullies them by sending them legal letters from his lawyer to silence them. There are some links available online showing some questionable past but he has a person most likely his brother who takes off bad reviews and legal documentations showing his crimes. This person is a danger to society and should go back to jail where he belongs.

In regards to the No Insurance Surgery website and consultation methods of Dr Kevin Petersen: It is our understanding the site has been luring people into surgery by his slogans and false representations of mesh removal. Dr. Petersens website and marketing slogans seem to mislead the public, fearing possible mesh victims into removal with statements like "You don't have to live with the pain after 3 months?"- Where they potentially would have to endure a 2-3 year torturous recovery (if they even recover) or most likely they may end up worse or paralyzed from a triple neurectomy or a barbaric naval to pubic bone open approached removal from laparoscopically placed mesh. Or "Mesh causes cancer." Which would scare most anyone into getting their hernia mesh out. It has been documented that the complaints of generalizing mesh removal on his site and in person has been getting people into serious trouble who don't know any better. It does seem he represents mesh removal like it's a one size fits all procedure when there are many types of mesh insertions and removals from various locations in the body. His pie graph on his site seems baiting and questionable, giving no details on type of removal the patients had, where the mesh was placed originally or the age and sex of the patients. It has been reported that in 2014 a wave of patients were consulted by him reporting that he and his entire staff were selling and telling patients that they would feel "instant relief" after removal and that "no one ever got worse in all his 20 years of experience and over 200 hernia mesh removals." It seems he has covered that up just recently after being confronted by his damaged patients. Today on his site he now writes on a pie graph that a small percentage get much worse but he still writes and markets on the next page, "Mesh removal does not leave you in more pain." And that he "would remove it from anyone who simply wants it out." And at one point writing, "Who wants to be a part of this experiment?"

It seems there's a market to remove and profit from mesh and it's making people much worse. It's alarming, unfortunately mostly by the victims who fell for his sales tactics, that it seems he's been experimenting with removal for research sales, profit or personal publications, more so than the well being of his patients. It has been brought to our attention that he may be selling the research to Dr. Bendavid at Shouldice in Toronto Canada for profit but this has not yet been confirmed. It has been documented that there has been complaints about the unsanitary and outdated Valley View Surgical Center which he is part owner and where he performs these experimental procedures, that a patient found hair on a used electric razor that they were given to shave their own pubic hair before surgery and that there is virtually no aftercare post op. "No Insurance" Surgery takes your cash money and charges your insurance (if you have it), a hefty amount for his "facility fee" then sends you away as soon as possible back to your home state left to fend for yourself after a severely invasive experimental operation. One patient said, Dr. Petersen tried to resolve this by putting up an after care website which he carefully and strategically words the trauma he causes as "Mesh Pain" vs "Mesh Removal Pain".

It has been documented that patients that were abandoned by Petersen have found each other online to compare their horrific notes and to validate their unfortunate fate by Dr. Petersens seemingly irresponsible, unethical and negligent ways he promotes and consults in his experimental business of mesh removal. These patients bodies and private areas have been destroyed. Two patients stated, "While consulted by Dr. Petersen every concern we had regarding the safety and integrity of our nerves or sexual organs were answered in our favor, most likely not detour us away from his business." It has been documented that Petersen consults that the resection of 3 major groin nerves is routine and ok to remove since they are just "sensory and will grow back." Calling the groin muscle "static and not needed for strength." Basically that the muscle in the groin provides no function or support whatsoever, which according to many neurologists, doctors and everyday people is false. It seems he does his best to avoid the topic of neurectomies and removing laparoscopically placed inguinal mesh, which should always be removed laparoscopically, the way it was inserted "to avoid extreme unnecessary trauma from the deep naval to pubic bone incision it requires." - Dr Towfigh

It has been confirmed that some hopeful mesh patients were physically able to walk in on multiple occasions to be consulted by Dr. Petersen about some discomfort they had from their previous mesh surgeries. They were diagnosed by Petersen and convinced they should have their mesh removed. After surgery they were left paralyzed in vital areas unable to walk, run, stand or have sex with comfort and confidence. They were sent home in horrific pain, burning and weakness with mutilated or altered privates and disabled for the rest of their lives. Some of them needed more surgery from their hips collapsing or larger more dangerous hernias Dr. Petersen created during surgery, some of them are bed ridden and permanently nerve damaged. According to his patients his response after assuring them it was safe to cut 3 vital nerves and that they were not in harms way was "well that's surgery." According to some patients he always changed his story and never gave them accurate information on healing times or any aftercare. Always extending the healing times or blaming the patients for their discomfort and disfigurement. The question remains if Dr. Petersen is honest, caring or skilled enough to methodically and accurately diagnose the necessity of hernia mesh removal? How does he determine if you should have it done? Or does he just want to take everyone's mesh out regardless of the outcome for research dollars or profit? The bottom line is these patients endured a daunting and life altering procedure based on his false statements on his website, his misleading consultation, and his questionable diagnostic approach for mesh removal...a pain scale of 1-10.

According to some, he still continues to abuse his privilege as a doctor to mis inform the public about mesh removal for his own personal gain and has a history of doing so with other gray area online medical businesses such as diagnosing people around the U.S via online and prescribing blood pressure medication without a face to face examination which the law requires. At one point he boasts about finding this loop hole in the system in this article. https://www.reviewjournal.com/news/las-vegas-doctor-risks-losing-license-over-treatment-of-hypertension/ "Because he believes the law is open to interpretation, Petersen said he will continue BPClinic.com until authorities shut him down."

According to the patients, Dr. Petersens response to them for sharing their experience has been defensive, hostile and abusive, bullying them, fabricating stories about their well being and motives. It has been documented that on numerous occasions Dr. Petersen at No Insurance Surgery publicly slandered his patients on the internet, divulging private medical information about them in an open letter on his website and in multiple forums after they were sharing their poor experiences that they had. At one point he even accuses them of murder. There have been reports of screen shots floating around about Dr. Petersen lurking around on Facebook mesh groups inappropriately friend requesting women who feel uncomfortable with him and divulging his patients names and medical issues to complete strangers. Some patients used alias's to share their stories in mesh groups, because they felt threatened by Petersen. Some were ashamed of their medical condition and didn't want people knowing their medical history or they were embarrassed or afraid to lose a job they were barely able to keep or simply wanted it to be kept private from family, friends or colleagues. They usually shared their stories in private mesh groups only to people who understood and shared the same issues they had. Most likely they were not happy having their personal lives shared publicly by the same surgeon who violated their body and trust. Slandering patients publicly and divulging their private medical information is not only illegal but disgraceful, unethical and a violation of human rights.
