Nicholas Morena Reviews

First let me say that "Captain" Nicholas Morena is a convicted felon. You can see a picture of his mugshot here:

He was caught commiting fraud and other various illegal activity and was ultimately arrested.

He scammed my friends out of thousands of dollars, and I personally witnessed him scam a total stranger out of hundreds.

He caused thousands of dollars of damage to my yacht and completely ignored my phones calls and letters.

This is the story:

I own a 63 foot yacht in Florida and keep it in an expensive, quiet marina. One day, a small sailboat was about to be towed out from the marina. I figured I could be helpful and untie the dock lines. While helping, I overheard the conversation with a woman at the marina warning the sailboat owner that the tow company he is using owend by Nicholas Morena scammed her and her boyfriend out of thousands of dollars. She told a detailed story but the sailboat owner said the guy was already on his way and took his chances.

The tow boat came and the woman confirmed it was him and walked off. We untied the lines and as they were driving off, the tow boat immediately crashed the sailboat into my yacht parked on the end of the dock. I yelled out to stop but they increased speed and took off.

2 days later, the sailboat owner came to the marina confirming that he too, was defrauded by Nicholas Morena. He made a phone call on speaker and I heard Nicholas Morena explaining that if the sailboat owner did not pay extra money, he would put a $4,000 lien on the boat. I read through his text messages and it confirmed that text messages sent by Nicholas Morena were just plain extortion.

I got this "captain's" information from the woman at the marina and the sailboat owner. I found his company: AKC MARINE, LLC and sent multiple demand letters for the damage done to my boat. There were several witnesses at the marina. I called over 10 times and this guy just doesn't pick up my phone calls.

At this point, I have paid to have the fiberglass repaired to my yacht. I made a police report and appearantly they already know about this guy.

I really hope this report helps prevent this guy from hurting someone else. If you plan on doing business with him, just take your chances with someone else. Trust me.
