Stay away from this complete scam and rip-off.

This is a scam that utilizes deceptive, misleading and confusing tactics. Although they entice with the promise of low rates, prices are actually much higher than one can easily find elsewhere. In my case there was actually a company switch between the initial contact and when I received the first magazine, which was actually from a company of a different name than the initial company (the one I thought I was dealing with). When I got mail from the new company I inquired and was told the new company bought the accounts of the old one and was taking over. In light of experience, this was clearly an attempt at creating some kind of legal firewall to protect the scammers, create a confused situation and a chain of responsibility which would be difficult to understand and unravel. I was initially told I could have a shortened subscription of several years when I declined the first offer of a five year subscription. After the "company switch," they want to hold me to the five year commitment I originally declined and never agreed to. I told them that I did not want the service any longer and was informed that they would not accept my cancellation. When I told them I would block further payments from my credit card they told me I could not do this, that they would make no changes to my account and that I will continue to receive magazines. This is all so outrageous and clearly beyond the pale. I am forced to conclude that they are targeting vulnerable people who will roll over. Stay away!h

Please Stay Away - Warning

pleas stay clear of these people, now they are threatening my job. I changed cards and sent the magazines back and they are still trying to get money from me. Stating it will be turned over to a third party debt collector. I tried to cancel and they are saying that I can not. This is crazy, I normally don't do things like this and I am middle age, they are just trying to get free money.

scamming the elderly

my mother who is on alzheimers medication got a call and was fast talked into giving them her info and got her to agree to things that she wasn't sure she was agreeing to. tried to cancel but was told that we had not cancelled in the 14 day period so we owed 49.99 per month for 12 months. this is for magazines!! i told them they could shove those magazines and we would not pay. she was taken advantage of and they need to go to jail and be made to pay back all of the people who they have scammed. what can be done legally?

National Renewal Exchange is a magazine company that calls you and rips you off. I remember talking to a lady in November/December about a 6 month payment plan and you get the magazine for 12 months; that's fine. Now someone name Gary is calling me about a 20 month payment plan and you get the magazines for 5 years and you can't cancelled.

This is over 600.00 dollars for some magazines; I know I never made this arrangement. I remember the lady because we discussed family and the fact that I was really hesitatant about making this purchase because I had just moved. This is a ripoff; and they will play a recording of you talking to the gentlemen but he wouldn't play the recording of me talking to the lady.

It's a ripoff and I'm going to get my lawyer to help get this resolved. And they are uppity about it because they have a recording; but I believe this is bogus; I only made the recording talking to a lady; never this man. I wonder how many other people have they done this too.

Some lady sat on my phone today for minutes telling me that there wasn't a way I could cancel my order and that if I didn't pay there were other ways by going to get what they were looking for. Tried calling back talking to a supervisor he made it seem like he put me on hold and got back on the phone demanding that I pay them if I did further actions could handle in a way that I wouldn't like and hung up called back and the lady on the phone told me she wasn't going to help solve my problem because the way I treated the last two employees.

I was contacted almost a year ago to start receiving magazines. At the time I went ahead and ordered 3 magazines. They started taking $39.99 a month off my card. after 4 months of them taking money I called and told them to cancal my subscription because I felt I was over paying for them. At that time they informed me that I can not cancal the subscription. I contacted the better buisness bureau and they backed off for a couple of months. And the it started right back up they have now taken $519.92 total from me. I called them again today and explained that they need to stop taking my money for magazines I don't even want. told the man on the phone that it is bull that they are so over charging for magazines when they have been told repeatedly to cancal. Theman then proceeded to tell me that I don't listen to people they are not cancaling the subscription.

These people are the worst magazine company I've dealt with they false advertise the amount of the magazines and continue to take money out your account after they took $300 off my card which should've paid them in full well low and behold they've gotten over another $100 from me even after I asked to cancel services more than once and they won't stop the subscription even though I'm not receiving the magazines and now are threatening to take drastic actions or measures really.

Steer Cler of This Company

Customer Service number - 1-888-863-5981 - is never answered. No way to get actual human contact with them. They appear to be a scam targeting seniors. Trying to get my mother's subscriptions cancelled due to her death, have had no luck with them so far, they are unresponsive.
