I rented an apartment in Denver I signed a year lease and almost towards the end of the lease I had to move so I let the manager know I had to skip the lease so after moving I received a letter from national credit system's stating I owed 4787.64 I contacted them and got rude antonio Hughes on the phone and tried to tell him I didn't owe this debt due to the fact the apartment rerented the apartment before the lease had ended so that was illegal to make me pay when someone already had moved in. He said I still had to pay and he would be willing to make an arrangements but he wanted 1500.00 I told him why would I give you that when I could have given that to the complex? He told me he knew where I worked I was furious with this guy and he told me i could pay the balance with my income tax money. i started crying I was so frustrated so I hung up. then he sent a letter saying I refuse to make suitable arrangements and that was not true. The letter also stating what happens when you don't pay so I been dealing with them for almost two years and now this is on my credit reports i can't even buy my own house because they won't remove it. I have wrote in to cfpb, the state attorney general but no help there.

I spoke mr harris concernining my debt, mind i add i did not know was on my credit report. i knew of them but thought this had been resolve. I was told i owe 1600 dollars for a six monh lase because i di not pay rent the last month. i was told i could not talk to any one but him because Mr curtis harris told me he was the only one in charge and he was the manager, corporate owner, the lawyer, everything came though him and him only. After putting me on hold several times during our converstation he always hang up on me at the end of at least 3 out 4 of the time i would call him back. however, I stated to him my mother recieved a letter stating that i could pay half to clear my debt. He did not care about that said that its expired and told me i could paay 1200 instead of 1600. . i ask him how did he come up with that figure he said he dont have time to explain to me an he been on the phone with me to long and i eithe take or leave it as if his rudeness was doing me a favor. I told him i could pay at least the 800 portion of what the letter ask for to clear my debt but he said thats expired and thats not enough for him. I went even further by calling the people that said i owe them and theey even said well yeah if he agree that would be fine for them for me to pay. after call me a liar in so many words and telling me thats not what the people said, even though i am the one that gave him the info to get in touch with them, says i have to pay what he says. After being disrespected he thentells me he can accept my american xpress card after i was willing to pay with that. he says he only can take cash debit or check. than after givinhhim that he then say give hime the 800 number on the back to make sure this card belongs to me. so now im a liar and a thief. then after going though all of that he hangs up agin on me,. i am really in need of talking to someone that can help me with this rude man. if the corporate owner reads this please reach out. not everyone have bad credit and owe debt. they just want to debt with just as if it was your family member who you cared about.

I terminated my lease with Savannah at Park Place and had a remaining balance of $211. Unfortunately, I did not get the notice of a balance due until well after my account was forwarded to NCS for collections. I've had three interactions with NCS, all of which have been deplorable. NCS employees the most ignorant people possible - they are rude, hostile, talk over you and it's nearly impossible to have a civil conversation to get anything done. I spoke to a manager, Michael Cooper, in hopes of bringing to his attention my experience with the other two representatives and to also make him aware that I've paid my balance - perhaps he could assist??? This man was useless... I was made to feel like I was wasting HIS time and rushed to get through my "speech". No wonder he works at a collection agency, for an hourly wage, in College Park, GA!

Not only was he rude, refused to listen, was condescending, but eventually hung up on me - this experience was also the same with everyone...and all over $211??? I then had to call my apartment complex, provide them with proof of payment and ask them to resolve on my behalf, because I could get no anywhere with this people. We'll see where that gets me.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB and CFBP. I get that they are a collection agency but being 1)abrasive, rude, abusive, condescending 2) not willing to resolve outstanding balances when a customer is telling you they've paid and has proof and last 3) leaving threatening message on your voicemail.

Again, I've paid my balance, so unsure why I wasn't given credit despite mailing to the address and referencing the account no. provided by the first ignorant imbecile I spoke. Note, she refused to provide her first name, but preferred to be called "Ms. ".

I am continuing to fight this and will not allow NCS to report this to the credit bureau as they have a history of not resolving these sorts of complaints based on all of the complaints online.

I'm surprised that property mgt companies and landlords use them - they are not leaders in collecting unpaid balances, but leaders in unscrupulous collection practices and people pay them to avoid a negative mark on their credit, not because they are so good and making amicable payment arrangements with a former resident.
