My City Social

I hired My City Social to handle my digital marketing over a year ago and it was the best decision I could've made. Me and my husband have a small Italian restaurant and have no time to manage our social media presence. My Guru took care of everything from creating specials and content to making my website. I let my guru know what I wanted and she took care of the rest.

Nice try to cover your butt My City

I think everyone is quite aware that someone from My City Social wrote this review. It's obvious because this is exactly what the little gurus tell the clients. The writing seems like some rehearsed paragraph. Plus, who goes to a scam web site to read reviews if they are happy with the services? LOL

Great service and support

I have been a client for over a year now and I have nothing but positive things to say about the services and results in have seenot from My City Social. I have been in business for over 5 years and I understand that marketing is not anecessary overnight process. I've read some of these other reviews and I don't think they are giving it enough time to see the results. As a business owner with a marketing background, I feel my city social is going a great job and I've seen great results.

MyCity does not deliver on promises

I signed a contract on 10/01/15. I was promised a weekly strategy session, a monthly newsletter, and minimum 4 Facebook posts/week. I also gave them 10 terms for meta-tagging on Google, and was told that My City would make my business top the searches online for the terms I provided. Nothing was done by my account manager in the first three weeks. The last 10 days of October, she finally put up 7 FB posts, but no newsletter, and not a single call. In November, I was assigned another account specialist. She made the required number of Facebook posts, but there were numerous misspellings, punctuation and grammar errors. Still no newsletter. In December, I received a draft for a newsletter that was totally unacceptable. I settled for an email blast notifying my clients of a Christmas special. I also asked about the weekly strategy session, and was told that they decided they would do a monthly session. In January, I finally got a newsletter emailed out to my clients, but only after I had to do multiple edits on spelling, punctuation and grammar. Facebook posts continued to be riddled with errors, and content ratio was not what we agreed upon in emails. Later that month, I was assigned yet another account specialist. I hoped for better results, but to no avail. The February newsletter also had to be revised and edited by me in order to be fit to send out. It was sent so late that I sold less than half of the Valentine gift certificates I had sold the previous year. The last straw was an email blast sent out to my clients soliciting reviews for Google, only every one of my clients received 6-8 email requests simultaneously. As MyCity had not fulfilled the terms of their agreement, and, even worse, were damaging my business reputation with embarrassing mistakes, I sent an email to (CEO) Andrew Christo requesting termination of my contract. I stopped further payments from my bank, and sent a registered letter asking for written confirmation of contract termination. This was accompanied with a four-page timeline with over 35 items of issues of non-performance and incompetence on the part of MyCity. Their response: send my account to a collection agency. It seems, from the reviews I have read, that their MO is to deliver a sub-standard product and resort to getting money via the bully tactics of collection agencies.

Great Company to do business with

I've been a client for over 6 months and I am very pleased with the services and results that I have received. I am writing this review primarily in to response to some of the negative reviews I read online. Although there is no such thing as a perfect service or product, my marketing manager has done an excellent building my Facbook and Google presence and she is always available when I need her. It took a couple months to start seeing some results but 6 months in, I am very pleased. Keep up the great work MyCity Social!

I made it very clear that I wanted to only sign a 6 month contract. I was verbally told in person, at my office, that this would be no problem and would be handeled by the supervisor (Nicholas Christo) at their location. I signed a year contract, with the promise that the contract would be altered to my 6 month requirement. At the end of the 6 months, the office has called me, telling me I have a 12 month contract, and I discussed with them that it was 6 months, as per our conversation upon signing. Now they have a collection agency threatening to damage my credit if I do not comply and make a payment for the rest of the 6 months.

Selling at MyCITYSOCIAL

As a client had listed above that they were promised things over and over again, it sounds identical to the same format as the way they pay (or I should say do NOT pay) their employees. I had times I was NOT paid on time, paid the wrong amount or monies were to be direct deposited into my bank account but one time was wired in (which cost me $15) and another time taken into a teller to be deposited, which means someone was carrying around my account # with them! Unprofessional, many lies, no follow through on their word, PLUS... I still see MANY horrible reviews on long time clients of theirs.

Absolute SCAM artiste

This company is a total FRAUD, Nicholas Christo and Andrew Christo have opened numerous sham companies to defraud hard working small business owners with service they will NEVER provide. They steal your personal banking information and make withdrawals that you can never get back. They are Con Artist. DO NOT. I Repeat DO NOT make the mistake of doing any business with these charlatans. I am currently pursuing them in every possible avenue to expose their theft. I lost $770.00 and the only way to stop their continued assault on my bank account was to permanently close it.

Scam

This company is a fraud. I do not recommended Iit at all.

They offer excellent services and do not fulfill anything. They offer their service and guarantee customer satisfaction . To sign the contract and ask for payment in advance the first check. Debited from the bank account directly afterwards. They charge without performing work and what little they do is shameful that i had to delete and undo.

It's a shame , do not understand how companies like this can remain on the market robbing people .

Class action lawsuit - clients and present/past employees

Well, it all came together. Andrew Christo and Nick Christo have multiple scams. This has finally surfaced to several businesses through years of fraud and past employees reaching out to other past and present employees. The more that add to the criminal investigation that has already been active the better to finalize this and recoop loss/damage through liens and judgements on personal property and their bank accounts. Contact your county or state offices and officials in order to have their file pulled and your name recorded with total damages and description of fraud.

And

I was solicited December 2012 by a few of their "media developers" which in itself should've been a warning sign that vultures were flying.

I was in the process of buying the business I was managing at the time, so I was assured that a short term contract could be done in case the business deal fell through. I signed the advertising agreement, that was pre-filled, mostly for my credit card information; So he told me. I'm always working, so I trusted that everything we verbally agreed upon would be honored. Was I wrong.

December the payments began, but the magazine did not come out until February. Being a new business owner, the article looked pretty neat. I closed on the store end of month February, and decided to cancel at the three month mark because I had various other expenses that trumped fancy advertising. They said I was locked into a 12- month contract. Hands that shook and words spoken apparently were moot.

Livid describes partially how I felt. The media developer wrote no notes on the agreement, so in fact, I was in a 12-month contract. They said they gave me a big discount on my page, designed my logo from a napkin which costs at least $300, a professional photo shoot, web listing, professional review, you get the picture. I didn't ask for a whole page, he told me he would do that. The logo was designed by my wife, on a piece of paper that was scanned in and they colored it- that's it. The biggest photo on the page was of shrimp, which everyone carries. If you read the article, some of the phrases are verbatim from the parent company website of my store. They brought 10 magazines to the store with no replenishment. I didn't see the magazines anywhere. I believe they did as little as possible on the creative side. They made these $20 gift certificates to give out to people at their venues, and the only one I saw using them was the media developer. Salt in the wound, after I cancelled, he came in and used one of those certificates.

They promised they would go above and beyond to keep my business, but frankly, I do not like dealing with unethical people. They had a buyout option, how nice of them, which I paid and washed my hands clean of their business filth.

worst company ever. LIARS and scam artist who will threaten you

Nick is a Liar. Andrew is a Liar. look up GLASSDOOR.COM even employees say its a scam. then they try and show up and scare you with threats of violence and law suits. If it was just me, where are there SO many negative reviews. I think law enforcement needs to be involved. Anyone want to start a class action. Not sure what else to do. i want my money back. even their so called gurus said the place is a failure. Look at everyone they try and sue. What a joke. WE moved because of the threats.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

We signed the 1 year contract with this company. Absolutely a waste of money. We're a niche market and had to train the MyCity Social rep how we wanted our posts to look and sound. Once that person finally was able to deliver posts that were correct, they promptly handed our account off to another rep. Now our 1 year contract is up, so we sent a certified letter to cancel our contract to the address on our contract (in Miami) The letter was returned, the address doesn't exist. Emailed our rep and of course, haven't heard a peep. After 12 months of using their service, our web sales have actually declined. We were promised all kinds of conversion increase and potential sales increase. Complete and utter waste of a lot of money. Never again.

Orlando Market Team is unprofessional

I believe most of the problem is they are so new, no one knows what they are doing, what they are trying to sell, or what other people do within their own organization. I thought I would give it a shot, but after 3 months I could tell this was not working for my service company. Their communication is less than par and they do not follow through with their agreements, both verbal and written. I lost over $1000 and all but had to cancel my credit card to ensure they would not steal from me again. Save your marketing dollars and go somewhere else.
