Happened in May 2017, I went to the doctor's after a year of membership. I went on the website to check for a primary doctor within network. Found one near my work, gave them a call to make sure, they turn out to not be in network despite the website listed that the office is. I called Mediguard customer rep to make sure and they said it was okay (I even made sure to list my coverage tier correctly because apparently they have multiple breakdowns). I went to the doctor's office and was told I had to pay out of pocket because they did not accept, the front desk person did not even know what to do with the membership card.

I had to come back for a second visit so this time I made sure Mediguard's customer rep know what happened, she was supposed to give the office a call and resolve the issue...I never got my answer. I still had to come back so I decided to call both sides up again and explain the situation. Then I was told that I needed to pay it up front then be re-imbursed but if it is under a certain amount then they cannot re-imburse. Fine, I had to pay for the visit myself but I also had bloodwork done and that was over $1400. Today, 8/24/17, I was told that I was supposed to get the discounted rate right then and there, they don't do reimbursement.

Another incident, June 2017. I decided to go to a different doctor's office that was near my house and again. This time I made sure to call, they would accept my tier, not just Mediguard 360 in general to avoid what had happened. I literally was on the phone with her explaining what I had went through with the previously place because I felt that I was not careful. I confirmed everything with the office's front desk person. She said she would call Mediguard to confirm the process since once again this is rarely used so they don't know what to do with it. I get a call back from her confirming the appointment and payment process (mind you, if I had something dire, I would've been dead by now). The front desk woman told me that MEdiguard had advised her that I would need to pay this up front then she would have to fill out a form and send it to them and I would get reimbursed back.

On top of everything, I try to contact customer support, I would never get my answer. It would just end with "Let me get back to you shortly"

After my call today trying to resolve $1400 of bloodwork bill and them denying any fault. I canceled the service.

They weren't helpful at all when i tried to contact them via email about canceling my account, i had to go over the phone. Of which i had tried multiple times to do so and only after they took the money from my account to pay for it was i finally able to get ahold of someone. And now, even though i couldn't get ahold of anyone regaurdless of method of contact, i'm still got charged for this last month of service.
