So let me tell you all about Mediacom customer service. We haven't had internet in almost a month. We originally had a tech scheduled to come out, couldn't see us for 2 weeks. Don't worry they said, we'll move the appointment up when we can. They didn't.

The day before our appointment arrives and they randomly decide to show up then. I'm not planning for them, not expecting them, am in a work meeting and can't randomly leave to meet when Mediacom's techs feel like showing up. So they cancel my appointment for FRIDAY because I wasn't available THURSDAY. They re-schedule for 2 weeks later, the 27th. Then they randomly decide, no, they're coming today.

They call my husband at work, he misses the call, but calls right back, but it doesn't take you to the tech's, it takes you to customer service and by the time he could get someone on the line they LEFT AND CANCELED OUR APPOINTMENT AGAIN. Oh yeah, they were sitting on my street the entire time in their van looking at me. Never got out of the van. Sat there for 5 minutes and left.

Now they've scheduled us for the 1st of October. This is unreal. Oh, but you better believe they're billing us for the month of internet we HAVEN'T RECEIVED. So Medicom customer service, they have none, and they will make up 20 different reasons why their techs don't have to do their job because they don't want to mess with you. And online or over the phone support?

Forget about it, they will just put in for a tech call to get rid of you. So now we're scheduled for the first, but they'll randomly show up a different day so they can cancel. My husband and I have missed so many days of work to their nonsense.

Mediacom failed numerous times to solve continual problems with their service. Customer service phone agents willfully disconnected me several times to avoid dealing with problems. Agents and Techs failed to solve the problems. The customer support was non existent and staffed by ignorant and careless people. The agents were rude at times and would place you on hold for up to 1 or more hours. I left the phone on just to time them. The services spoke of high internet speeds but what good is that if the service never works properly. Phone went out without explanation for days at a time and the support people could not explain why it happened. Overall, Mediacom is a very bad company that has pathetic customer service. I would never reccommend them to anyone.

On June 9th a Media Com van through a bucket out from under the vehicle and damage my car. I called the same day it happen and reported it. I called 4 days later and the report was never put in. So I had to tell the story again. Then I called up for almost 2 1/2 months and they knew nothing and kept giving acuses. I finally got a letter and they denied the claim saying it wasn't their fault even though it was their van.

I would stay away from these people cause of the excuses and I also had their services. My Tv kept freezing up and my internet would go out. They sent a tech out and he was in a rush. Was only here 2 min said everything was fine and left. This was the same van that did the damage to my car and same guy. They dont care about the customers. They just want the money. Beware stay away

Mediacom's "service" technicians will file a report claiming they come to your home for a service call when in fact they do not. I guess they are so backed up with service calls that they really cannot handle the service requests which force them to say they came by your house when in fact they have not.

I waitied all day for a service technician to come by and at 7:00 PM I called and the person on the phone said that the service record indicated that the technician came by. This was TWO times in a row.

The operator at the call center tried to reach the service managers (FOUR OF THEM) and three would not answer their phones. The only one that did indicated that they would not coem out just for one customer.

I have used Mediacom since 1988 (they were Storer Cable back then) and this is what you get for 28 years of loyalty.

On May 17 I notified Mediacom that I had mistakenly sent an extra $160.00 payment to them. I also cinsistently carred a positive overpaid balance on my account as well. The representative initially advised me that it would take 4-6 weeks for them to cut a check. I complained, the rep spoke with her superion and advised that she could get the money returned directly to my account in 24-72 hours, but that would cost $28.00. I agreed to the $28.00 fee. My account information was given for this to occur.

In the beginning of June I had notification from my bank, I had a negative balance. I reviewed my payments, and income. I discovered that Mediacom had lied, and no refund had been placed into my account.

On Thursday June 2 I again contacted Mediacom. I reminded the representative of the agreement that had been agreed upon. This rep insisted that Mediacom could not remit any funds any faster than 4-6 weeks. I reminded the rep that the funds had been requested on 5/17. I then stated that I wanted my full $160.00 refunded, and that the waiting period should include the time from the initial request. The Rep assured me the issue would be reviewed, and that repeatedly assured me of a followup call on Friday June 3. This promise was broken as well! No phone call was recieved at all! It was also set up during this call that I was closing my account effective June 13. They said that my ex could not get the account switched into her name, or continue paying the account as it was. (In the past, I made sure Marlene Bohach had permission to call in regards to this account. Every single time she would call, Mediacom gave her the runaround and denied to speak with her!!!)

Monday June 6, I called in again. I spoke with a representative names Ashley. She reviewed the notes onthe account, and assured me she'd follow through. I gave her a confirmation email address, and i verified my phone number.

Today, June 8, I missed a call from Mediacom at 3:16PM. A voice message was left by Ashley. She stated that she was calling back to follow up on the call from Monday. Ashley stated a phone number to call back, and that she'd be happy to assist me. I returned the call at 3:24PM. The answering party asked which Ashley I'd spoken to. I gave her the information needed to ascertain who I'd spoken with. She then stated Ashley was not there, but she could help. (I have every reason to believe this too was another lie!)

I expressed the broken promises and lies Mediacom stated up to this point. The representative was arrogant and uncaring. The rep then really went out of her way to make me very, very angry. I reminded her that I wanted my full refund within the 4-6 weeks from when I initiated my request. She said it was not going to happen. She added that I would not see a refund at all until equipment was returned, as I had initiated a disconnect effective June 13th!!!!! So in other words, they can keep a customer's money on a whim...

I see Mediacom as anything but an ethical company. I am guessing that since i had a positive balance of nearly $150.00, and the received an additional payment of $160.00, they just stole over 300 dollars, and I have no recourse. I have absolutely no reason to believe the have any intent to send a refund at all!

I called to cancel my DVR box back in February... They charged me for canceling the DVR. I was never aware that there was a charge afterwards. The next month they charged me a portion of the bill. The next month I get a bill for double the amount plus new bill... I called customer service & spoke with 5 different people.. One stated there would be a credit after the box is returned. I returned the box the next person stated it's been removed back in February.. I called to speak to someone else these said that they credited my account then he made another adjustment ty account without notifying me & it made my bill higher than what it was supposed to...

I asked for his supervisor, she gets on the phone to tell me that he was supposed to add a code to the account.. I asked why didn't they do that from the start & y I wasn't aware of it...she stated it was something he done that was supposed to have been done... I told her that he should have notified me b4 changing my service without knowing if I wanted it or not.... I told her to just take everything off of my account and lete have what I previously had... She stated that she couldn't... I then told her to cancel my service and she stated that I would have to do it another day... So now there will be additional charges to my account bc she wouldn't cancel my service after the agent added without notice

Turning services on and off on purpose. 12/29/2015 3:26 pm to 4:00 pm playing with lines on aldon steret went to office to file complaint and on 12/30/2015 at 1:00 pm they where doing it again 12/31/2015 2:00 pm doing it again 12/31/2015 4:00 pm i have got pissed and cut the line going to the home from the street I have asked for a full dissconect and they reclined stated we need a valid credit card to bill a termination fee to. there playing games with the lines on 12/29 to 12/31 has cost me a financail loss of $4,919.39 in damages for lost trades I trade stocks online and i need a connection that will not cut on and off because some body wants to play games with a working service. the service was working in full order untill they made a poor choice to unplug and plug in cables up the street for the past 3 days. as far as i am aware of my contract said mantance 12am to 6am not 3:26 pm in the after noon. This is uncalled for playing games with my connection and picking on me. I have encounter a loss and plan to sue if they charge me a bill or report to my credit. I have full plans to sue at the local court house. let the judge hear how they treated me. I do not think i should be billed a termination fee after what has happened. as of yet they still refuse to turn the service off and it will stay active untill they stop billing me. i will not be sending them a cent. i plan to counter sue.

I have the 50mbps internet plan. Every night my internet drops between 0 and 8 mbps. This has been going on for many months. These speeds are hard wired and have nothing to do with anything but the speeds I get sent into my house.

They have sent techs over 7 times that have done nothing but either complain that I dare have wifi hooked up in my house, or say I see everything comming in fine. Of course they sent them over during the day when there are no problems.

After seven days of my life lost to waiting on techs that offer no help I called and the tech manager who then said its clear the problem is on there end and to call back at the time it drops. I call back like asked they forward an email on, I get a call from one of the old tech very angry with me saying he is gonna start showing up and testing my speed during the day and charging me for it. I tell him what I need is to have the problem fixed where I lose internet everynight. He then tells me there is no problem to fix and he is not going to fix any problem.

Thats when I inform him I am going to call his boss and report him, sortly after I hang up while I am looking for there number I get a call from a woman claiming to be from medicom who continues to harras me for daring to ask for the service and speeds I payfor. I ask to talk to her boss hopeing to get the guy I was working with she then hangs up.

I call Medicom finaly get some one who at least acts like they like custamers and agrees agian with what is very clear the problem is on there end and claims to have sent in a report on my treatment by both people and says he will call back in a few days to let me know the progress they have or have not made.

It is clear the infrastructure is being overwhelmed and needs upgraded it is also clear the techs have no intrest in fixing anything. I have no idea if this is because they are trained to just be rude and harras people until they give up or are really just this bad.
