I had inspected completed by McCright and they failed my home. The letter notifying me of the failure was never received to date. My tenant sent me screen scots of her letter. I then contacted the Wilmington Housing Authority who told me how to view the letter online. I was informed that there would be photo to see everything referenced for repair. However no even a photo of the front of the home as there. We made all the repairs and the re-inspection took place. My tenant was informed that we passed the inspection. However during the inspection the inspector had no idea what he originally flagged, he was asked her what the items were, did not take phots, and moved thru the home very quickly. So to fail the re-inspection, put my payments in abatement and send a letter to my tenant with a young son informing her that she will be kicked out the program was surprising and very infuriating to say the least.

I called McCright first thing Monday morning. FIRST the gentlemen I spoke to was extremely rude. He cut me off, over talked me and huffed and puffed as I tried to make my point. I was unable to contact the local housing authority because pf the Holiday weekend. He informed that I needed an invoice (this requirement was not documented on any of the information on line or physically reviewed via mail) for the work and having my husband complete would not suffice. I sent what I had and because it occurred prior to the re-inspection date it was not good enough. All the other repairs you could clearly see as there was new hardware there. The re-inspection letter listed all the original items. Once the rude employee said someone would be giving me a call once I told him I can’t take your word since you have no documentation. The home was clean and repairs were made because I was just there. The second letter looked like the first one with a different date.

Additionally, my tenant called and spoke to a woman who was just as rude and nasty as the person I spoke with. I was told this was new contract. Which I don’t get because this is your professional skill no matter the date the ink dried on the contract.

I am so upset and I will be at the housing authority office first thing in the morning as well as emailing the director of the program. My tenant and I have a great relationship and to tell her she will be evicted for items that have been repaired and hold my payments is not right and I will not let this slide.
