Maxwell Ford Reviews

  • Sep 12, 2016

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a car dealership. I decide to purchase the car that I was already leasing from Lincoln Automotive. I knew that this was not the best money-saving decision as they price these cars extremely high (for some reason) but I was so busy with a father that was hospitalized, etc. I spoke to a salesman ahead of time to talk about this purchase. I mentioned that I had been told that I could turn my my car in at any dealership Ford or Lincoln and the salesman verified this. I asked if I would be better off getting my own financing and I was lied to and told no that they could get better deals on financing. This was not true. I scheduled an appoinment with the salesman and somehow

there was a mix up. Someone called me and said it was scheuled for 11am. I thought it was 1pm and the person said it was no problem, come in at one. I got there at one and waited a half hour for the salesman and then he passed me off to someone else. Then this person kept coming in and out of the room and pacing and I asked what the problem was and he said "Now that you are buying the car, its a problem". He never said what the problem was. So 45 to 50 minutes later, he admits he is having a problem with the pay-off price. I could not believe. I had been there now over 2 hours. I told him I could get it by phone and he should have told me. We then get the pay off and then I wait for another hour and a half for

Financing. And no they could not get me any deals on financing ( I could have gotten better through my bank) but I had limited time to get this done so i go into the finance office and asked if the guy realized that I had been there over four hours to purchase a car that I was already leasing. I was not happy. He then offers as a consolation- a premium care plan -and I was running late for an appointment so I agreed to it as he said it was 30.00 a month and I could cancel and get my money back if I cancelled in a few days. I could then have time to think about it, I thought. Well, I called to cancel and no one returned my call. I called for several days and they said that it was the end of the month and they were far too busy to talk

me. I said to the receptionist "Do you mean that no one is available to talk to me?" She says "No, it is the end of the month, Mam" So a few more days went by and I went into the dealership - furious. I told them i wanted a refund for this plan that would cost me 30.00 a month for 3 years - 1855.00 total- that was added to my loan. They said it takes about 3 to 4 weeks usually. they gave me a receipt for the refund. I called the premium care company and they had never purchased any plan so I called and asked why it took so long to refund my money. No real answer was given. I have been trying to refinance my car or just pay it off but cannot do so with this 1855.00 added to my balance. I am now going on 2 months and have not

seen a refund from this car dealership. They are very short-sighted as my husband worked for Ford for 25 years. We only by Ford cars and they may have not felt that the purchase of this uses car was worth their time but I was ploanning on buying a new car eventually when I had more time to shop and I can assure you, it will not be throught them. I may never buy another Ford either.

I want a refund and this still has not happened. This was a total rip-off.
