We have been trying to get our vehicle into a local dealer to look at a shift gear repair but it took time to get in and we have been dealing with people with covid and were unable to get out for the longest time. We finally are able to get an appointment and our warrenty expired 2 days prior. Now the bill will go from $50 to $800 because of covid and this company. We've already a hard time with covid restirctions and the company is now unable to work with us. I'm tired of large companies not willing to help thier clients during a worldwide pandemic...
I purchased a used 2018 Dodge Durango from Cook preowned in Dickinson, Tx, as I live in Ohio. I purchased a waranty from MasterTech warranty from the dealership for an extra 2k. The warranty I purchased was the Elite which was the second from the top choice. I purchased this package on behalf of what the salesman told me about it covering all parts. I have had this truck now for 2 months, This week I will make my second payment.
I recently took the truck to the dealership due to the "SERVICE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY" warning flashing. Dealership contacted Mastertech to report the issues they found only to be told that the Throttle body is not covered. I called Matertech to see why this isn't covered because from my understanding all components under the fuel catagory were covered. Well they told me that my plan covers only "specified parts" listed on the contract. So guess whats not listed?! The throttle body!!
This company is a POS! They are deceiving and manipulative! I now have to come out of pocket over $800 plus my note! DO NOT PURCHASE A MASTERTECH WARRANTY!! RUN, RUN, RUN!!
