I have TONS of documentation to support the claim that we are filing in Magistrate Court. We inquired into a countertop ad on Facebook Marketplace on November 16, 2019. He came to our new home with his fiance and baby, truck has company name on back, but total scam.
He measured countertops, showed samples, provided invoice and quote. Paid $822 up front for deposit. Was supposed to install 12.7.2019. Made excuse after excuse (have all of the texts and calls downloaded) to not install for four weeks. Called him out on if it was a scam and he gave his home address, DOB, and DL. Thought ok, might be legit. WRONG.
Committed to a date in Jan after the holiday and NEVER showed. Has not answered a call or text. Gave him an opportunity to refund the deposit of go to court. He is still answering ads on FB though scamming more people. Marshall Dyched is his name.
Spoke to a friend at the DA's office and after the Magistrate Court rules in our favor, the police may get involved and go after him for Fraud. At this point, I am reporting his ads daily to FB as scams and will continue to check with the secretary of state periodically to see if he ever files to obtain a business license in GA.
When he does, I will get that revoked by submitting all of my info and documentation. It could have been avoided if he just mailed the deposit back, he would not even have to face us. As it stands now, he is going to get served in front of his fiance.
