Market Media Group Reviews

  • Sep 13, 2016

I was contacted by Market Media in September 2015 regarding advertising my business at a kiosk at the Pavilions in Rancho Santa Margarita. I met with their representative and he committed to having the ad up within 30 days with a brochure holder that would accomodate our EDDM Postcards.

I have contacted Taina, Gina, Regina, and most recently Matt Samet who identified himself as the owner of the company. I have contacted Market Media over 30 times. The kiosk was never installed and I only received a return phone call from Matt Samet when I told his staff I was going to sue if they did not refund my money.

On August 11, 2016, Matt Samet said the ad would be installed the following week. Another month has passed. No ad. I contacted them again today to demand a refund in full. This is a scam. Consumer beware.

We were approched by Market Media Group on December 18, 2014 to have a sign created by them and placed in our local grocery store with our company information, a brochure holder, and a card holder. When we met with the sales representative at the market that day, we agreed upon the location that we wanted the sign placed for the greatest exposure. They got the sign created and placed in a timely manner and were quick to answer or emails during the design phase. The sign was placed on February 01, 2015.

We contacted the office manager Regina Kuzina, on March 16, 2015, to let her know that someone in the store was moving our sign and we were not getting the exposure we paid for. Each time we visited the market, we saw that the sign had been moved, and took it upon ourselves to put it back in its agreed upon spot. We also went so far as to discuss the issue with the store manager and a few front line supervisors, to see if we could get them to cooperate and not move it. Since handling it on the local level was obviously not working for us, we reached out to Regina for help. Regina quickly responded to us that same day to find out where it was being moved from and to, and stated, "The agreement says it should be by the entrance near the carts. I am trying to get a hold of the store manager but he is not there today. I will keep you posted". Regina told me that the CEO, Matt, was going to call me about this. I spoke with him on March 17, 2015 and he requested photos, which I sent to him that day. He told me he would call me back. By March 20, 2015, I sent more pictures showing another company's sign blocking ours, and still had not heard back from them at that time. Regina finally got back to me March 23, 2015 and told me Matt would be contacting me that day. On March 26, 2015 I emailed Regina to let her know that I still had not yet heard from Matt and that the sign was still being blocked and that we needed resolution on this or a refund. I never heard back from eith Regina or Matt. We continued to move the sign back to its spot or remove the sign placed in front of it, without the aid of Market Media.

May 09, 2015 we notified Regina that the brochure holder was broken off of the sign and sitting on the floor and could someone please fix it. She responded on May 12, 2015, "I have put a work order in to get that fixed. I will let you know when it has been completed". On June 24, 2015 I emailed Regina once again reminding her that the brochure holder had still not been repaired, voiced our frustrations over this whole thing, and again asked for resolution. No response. I spoke with Matt July 16, 2015 and he asked that I send pictures to Regina to forward to him. July 17, 2015 I asked her to confirm if she forwarded them to Matt or not. No response. July 20, 2015 asked Regina if it was the practice of Market Media Group to ignore their customers. Did not get a response until July 22, 2015.

I searched the internet and located a phone number and email to reach Matt directly. I called him and spoke with him for about an hour on July 20, 2015. He said he would need to speak with him boss the next day and let me know what resolution they caould come up with. Matt did return my call on July 21, 2015, which unfortunately I missed the call but according to his voice mail, his boss made a decision. Later that day, I left a message for him to call me back. He did not. I emailed him to his email address on August 06, 2015, asking for the information and to let him know that the brochure rack was still sitting on the floor broken. On August 12, 2015 I sent him more pictures and reminded him that I had not heard back from him. August 19, 2015 sent Matt more pictures and again asked him to contact me amd also to provide his boss' name and number. September 07, 2015 sent more new pictures to Matt and again asked him to call and to provide his boss' information. No response from him. September 08, 2015 Regina responded to the email that I sent to Matt and simply stated that our contract had ended. September 09, 2015 I asked her why she was responding to Matt's email and could I have his boss' information. No Response.

I have tried repeatedly to get a hold of Matt since that same day and left multiple messages for him to call me back with what his boss had to say. No return phone call as of this date, September 17, 2015.

As a business owner myself, I do not understand their practice of not returning calls and not following through with their promises. It really makes me sick to the stomach. I hope we are the only one's who have experienced their complete refusal to respond to our valid complaints. They used stall tactics and then once our contract expired, they felt justified in not finding resolution for us.

Please share your experiences with Market Media Group, Regina Kuzina, and Matt Samet. Even if they will not listen, I will. Thank you for reading about our experience.
