Supposedly a Private Lender. Ultimately he wants a bogus fee upfront. I flat out refused to pay it. He came back a few weeks later and said he had it to where there was no upfront fee. He sent "testimonials" of getting people loans. Ultimately he sent me a $20K+ fake check from Chase that he wanted me to deposit and send off somewhere else to get my loan (hello - scam). I did get the check and someone went to enough trouble to buy nice checks from Deluxe so it looks good but the account was fake. I called the business owner that "wrote" the check which of course they seemed to know nothing about and said something similar happened a few months back and they had to change their account numbers etc. Did this guy really think I was going to put that check in my account without verifying it first???? Come on people. Now the FBI has it all in their hands. What a waste of time and energy!
Do not send this guy any money, it will just be a loss. For that matter, if a loan requires an upfront fee, RUN.
