Lucid Sight, Inc. and its CTO, Fazri Zubair, seized my MLB Champions cryptocurrency NFT assets. The value of these assets are well over hundreds of thousands of dollars. Fazri Zubair and his team at MLB Champions openly invited users to use automation to play MLB Champions. The head developer, Farhan, encouraged users to use scripts and automation via chrome extensions. I used simple automation to claim rewards and set gamecards throughout the day - spending approximately 6-8 hours on a daily basis playing the game with the assist of these tools.
In late July, I personally spoke with Fazri Zubair on the phone regarding a number of issues. During this conversation, he assured me that everything I was doing and using when playing their game was "100% cleared by engineers." I have NEVER been secret about the automation I use.
On September 27th, 2019, I was notified that my account was being completely terminated due to using automation "too fast." It was hidden inside Lucid Sight's TOS that automation cannot be "faster than a human can reasonably produce." After being baited into improving the automation the mundane tasks of MLB Champions, I was banned without question. When being told automation and scripting was fine, Lucid employees did not point to any TOS prohibitions.
Their TOS also explains that even if a termination occurs, you retain the rights to all players in your account. They proceeded to seize all my NFTs and it looks like they have destroyed them. They also took 20,000+ diamonds, my season pass for 2019 and 2020, and my attachments for the 2018 season (which were never distributed to the characters). I paid this company thousands.
I believe there are 2 reasons why this company did this to me:
Their game, by design, eliminated any chance for scarcity, and I was the leading owner of reward NFT assets. In order to promote their "scarcity message," picking off a few users was a necessary evil. This is completely dishonest and goes against everything a cryptocurrency NFT game should be.
Toward the end of September, I released information that I thought was extremely dishonest to users in which Fazri Zubair had asked me to keep secret. In a sense, I feel like I was a whistleblower and was completely retaliated against.
I will elaborate on the second issue. I discovered a while back through another MLB Champions user that Fazri Zubair had refunded him over $1,000 for a "Babe Ruth" figure that this user purchased back in late 2018/early 2019. These figures were promised to have special "abilities" for 2019 gameplay. They did not include any special abilities and users were misrepresented.
Fazri had told this user to keep it secret from any other user, however this user had already been discussing the refund with me. Me and another user were the only ones who knew about the "secret refund." Later, I responded on twitter to a tweet about the possibility of getting a refund from Fazri. The user that received the refund got the following message:
Later, Fazri and I had a phone conversation. He had asked me to delete the tweet and asked me to keep the information secret because he could get in trouble with the board. This is the same conversation we had about all aspects of the game, including the same conversation in which he told me my gameplay was "100% cleared by the developers." The reason I received such "clearance" relates to an accusation by a community moderator in MLB Champions' discord server.
However, during the middle of September 2019, a different user asked Fazri Zubair for a refund for a copy of the same Babe Ruth and was denied. Fazri told this second user that "It is not possible, while unfortunately the gameplay function of babe didnt make it into this season, we will be bringing it in to our sim / off season and 2020 season game." Fazri Zubair also stated that any "rumor" of refunds being given this year were a lie.
This dishonesty disgusted me and I soon made the circumstances surrounding the first user's Babe Ruth refund public. It is not right that something can be 1) sold under clear misrepresentation; 2) refunded BECAUSE it was misrepresented; and then 3) denied a refund to another user (while lying to them).
It is also important to note that Lucid Sight has 2 games right now. Crypto Space Commander (CSC) and MLB Champions (MLBC). The user that DID get the refund is highly invested in their flagship game, CSC. The user that was DENIED the refund does not play the game. Lastly, let me make it clear that the user that DID get the refund is a highly respected individual in the community - this is about the actions of Fazri Zubair, and his team at Lucid Sight.
So, I feel like part of this is retaliation for the events I have just described. At this time, they have all of my NFT assets, in which I own the right to, and they have refused to communicate with me further. In fact, after I approached Fazri regarding the termination of my account and assets that I own, he told me the following:
This was a week ago. I never received that call with Fazri Zubair, and we did not "come to something here that satisfies all." I am currently being thoroughly ignored.
