Lone mountain is total fraud! I purchased a 2016 t680 first thing first they advertised to be fully loaded truck with extended warranty which was a fraud and a lie! Far from being fully loaded! At $170,000.00 Secondly they do second fraud of you making you buy insurance from them. That's additional $600 monthly on top of $2625 monthly payment on the unit 10/29/15 I purchased a truck picked it up and on 02/15/16 my truck got towed due to a accident they called tow yard said its a repossession and do not release the truck. I flew back home got home they advised me I was payment late on my truck in additional you didn't pay us for insurance which was total lie I had proof of payment etc. They basically took $19,000 from me and left me with no truck to run! Now I am filling lawsuit I am requesting everyone who got ripped off to contact me 916.591.4332 so we can file a legal class action lawsuit against them I have three others who been victims I am starting the process

I had an air compressor replaced on my truck. After I financed and paid by bank wire, I retrevied my truck. The person following me had oil all over the windshield ever since I picked it up. 2 hours later I had to replace a water line that was split attached to the compressor. I started going again and the compressor went completely out with oil all over the truck. After towing to a real shop, a Volvo dealership, I was informed that the compressor was installed incorrect. I call Joe Harvey and was told that he warranty no work even though it was less than 4 hours after I received the truck this happened. Joe has told all his bosses that it was installed correctly and it was the bull gear. Not seeing the truck he was 100% sure it was not the compressor. The compressor has 4 bolts holding it on. 3 of the nuts are missing and the other cast ear is broken. The bull gear will not make the nuts back off a stud over and inch long. There luckly was no damage to the bull gear. If they are so sure why won't they stand behind their work. Never use this company for anything. I now have a tow bill and a new shop bill of about $2300 that no one will help out. Please don't use these people they pride themselves in ripping people off.

August, 2018 I put my truck in the shop after running it for a year to replace the air compressor, 4 of my six injectors, the injector cups and my lower idle gears all totaling $18,000. They found out through passing conversation and told me they were putting a DNR on my truck to protect me and the truck. They then proceeded to tell the repair shop that they were going to pay the bill and then tow the truck out. They also proceeded to lock my account so I can't do anything with the vehicle. I told them the reason I didn't have the money was because in the year prior which was my first year with the truck I had spent close to $60k on repairs that their warranty wouldn't cover. Thankfully the shop that has it has had me as a loyal customer for a while and listened when I showed them I had never been late on payments and they told lone mountain they wouldn't accept the payment over the phone or by check. Unfortunately I have until the 12th of November to come up with at least $10k so the shop doesn't put a lien on it, because then they will take their payment. But this company is shady. My recommendation is take your business elsewhere. I would say go to either in Mesa, AZ or in Atlanta, GA.

Taxes

They don't tell you that you have to pay the taxes at end of lease, there for its not a true lease. All they give you is a bill of sale with total you paid for truck no buyout

I have been driving a truck for over 18 yrs and for the last 10 years i have been wanting to own my own truck and lease on to Landstar trucking company. My credit was bad so i had to work hard to clean up my credit report. I have been at my job for 9 years and things werent great so i decided it was time. On June 7 , 2017 i put a down payment of 4000 dollars on a 2013 Cascadia. The truck was located in Fort Worth ,TX. I chose that location because i wanted to attend orientation as close to dealer as possible , which was also in Fort worth. I didnt want to put miles on the truck unless it was making money. On June 19th i went to the dealer to take truck and have it DOT'd. I also had a dyno Done on the motor. I took it back to the dealer because they said if i find anything wrong to tell them and they would take care of it. I pointed out three things and by the next day only one of them were done.. The other two they said ,thats the way the truck is supposed to be.. I knew better but i had to get to orientation the next day and they were minor things that could wait. On june 23rd,2017 i was on Bobtailing my tractor to Salt lake city to pick up trailer at the request of Landstar. In childress Tx ,that same day i had to add half a gallon of Antifreeze. By the time i got to Salt Lake , i had to add the rest of the bottle. Picked up load on the 26th And maybee 300 miles later in Rawlings Wyoming truck shuts off going down the hwy.. I paid over $600.00 to get fixed.. Also had to add another 3/4 gallon Antifreeze. By the time i reached Colubus ohio , The truck was using way too much Antifreeze and would bareley stay running. I called warranty company and they said take it to a particular dealer in columbus. First Estimate $ first estimate $3,900 For EGR actuator and some other things. i called Roger at cresco capital and told him of the stuff i fixed and the problem im having now.. He told me " i wil put a note in your file". I said what good is that going to do . can we work something out to get this truck going. He sent me an email of what was covered under warranty. "what an as*". Landstar came to me and said they would have my back and loan me the money , but i would have to pay it back ASAP , because i was a new hire. I told shop to start work but to let me know if anything else was wrong. I had a suspicion that the EGR cooler was the cause of this whole thing . Not 14 hrs later i get call from shop informing me that the EGR cooler was bad and looks like its been like this for awhile. It will be another $ 3,800 ..total so far for laes then 2000 miles .. over $ 8,000 dollars...WTF I asked Roger at cresco , What are we going to do . Im not spending every penny i have to fix this truck when i havnt even made a dollar.. He told me to tell the shop to put the truck back together and take it to Tifton , GA so his people can look at it.. The guy Must be retarted or something. The truck sat at shop through the July 4th holiday With no results from Cresco On July 6th i get lease termination letter sent to my email. Im out over $5,000 plus air fare to texas ,air fare from columbus . No job . My dream job that ive always wanted . And i look like an a**hole to Landstar.. Well im back to work at my old job with a $5,000 dollar a year pay cut and i have to wait for my benefits to kick in after 90 days. Talk about the worst two weeks ever. Landstar had the nicest people , i reccomend if you are looking to be o/o , they are where you should go.. Stay away from Lone Mountain and try a Freightliner dealership . I heard that they arent as tough as you think to get financed through.. And then to top it all off they have the nerve to notify credit bureas that i am leasing a truck through them . I just dont know what to do anymore.

I found some problems in the truck before I sign any paperwork. They told me they don't have the equipment to fix this problem here and they told me I can fixed any where and itis covered under the warranty I bought the truck and took it to repair shop for that specific problem and when I called them for the warranty they talked about they refused to covered

Not happy with how the ABS issue was handled. After a week of waiting for the repair, when it was first noticed, still an issue. Was told to bring it back to the same location within 48 hours after it was over 250 miles away, and I was in orientation. I couldn't. They just was gonna reset the computer again, and wait for me to get further away, as they did before. Also a few days later the nox sensor gives a code. Fix everything your eyes and a Dyno and DOT test can see, but Gamble's on rest. I do not recommend, unless you got plenty of time and money. Sad, it's a good idea on paper.

I purchased a truck from Lone Mountain in Oct. of 2012, & for about a yr everything was fine. I changed jobs (rather abruptly) in late 2013 & knew during the transition I wouldn't have the next payment on time. I informed them (Crestco capital) of this & asked to have that payment deferred (which is an option in the lease agreement). After (supposedly) talking to management I was told the payment would not be deferred & was now subject to late fees. I had not missed a single payment before this! So the next month (& every month afterward), I was now being charged a late fee tacked on to the missed payment! This went on for about another yr until I had a major engine breakdown.....my repair estimate was listed at over $11,000!!! (It was initially quoted to be about $8000) I could not come up with anywhere near that kind of money at the time, & long story short, they basically repoed the truck from the repair shop (without telling me, I had over $2000 worth of clothing, tools, & other belongings inside) I only received written notification AFTER they took it! In addition to being months behind (it was in the shop about 2-3 months), the insurance lapsed eventually causing my license to be suspended, I also saw my truck listed & sold on Ebay a short time later

After which I received a letter stating that I STILL owed them thousands (for breaking the conditions of the lease, apparently.) If there is any other drivers that have had issues with this company, please let me know, this whole thing has left me in dire straits!

Question

You had your drivers licenses suspended because of Insurance on your truck?

I was approved by Lone Mountain, found a truck I was interested in and placed a deposit on it, They did send me the full vin number and I did a check on it, zero issues of concern on report. I received email notification that truck would be ready for pickup so I purchased airline ticket and hotel reservations. I was then notified that truck wouldn't be ready for a few days and they offered me another truck, it had about 100,000 more miles on it and the vin number came back with a DOT recordable accident, so I declined that vehicle. I traveled as planned to pick up truck, upon arriving I find out the few extra days would turn into a week or possibly longer. Since I already paid for the airline ticket and few days of hotel, I thought they would be willing to pay for the hotel, they weren't interested, So I told the sales person I expected a full refund and walked out. I did email the owner about the situation and he responded back fairly quickly, He was apologetic and offered to pay for the hotel but I already made arrangements to go home. so from my experience, I would suggest to anyone that wants to do business with these people, be cautious when they give you dates about a truck being ready.

I think this company is a real scam.

I bought a truck on ebay from them. Their ebay ID is AlmostFreeTrucks. Their profile states that they are located in the "United States". After I purchased, I was given no contact information by ebay except that they are located in Omaha, NE. But they are not located in Omaha, NE.

After I made the purchase, I received emails from [email protected] which gave me payment instructions.

Even though the listing stated that payment was not due for 7 days, Jeff immediately demanded instant payment and opened an unpaid case against me after only 2 days. When I left him negative feedback, he kept sending me emails telling me that he was cancelling the transaction and that I had to mail him back the title and he would subsequently refund my money. I had to get legal help with this threat since I already had the title and knew that the seller could not demand that I return the title without first buying the truck from me. Obviously, if you are going to do business with these guys, have a lawyer help you because they will try to trick you into doing things you don't have to do.

After I picked up the truck, I discovered that many engine parts had been removed.

If I had known that this ebay seller was Lone Mountain/Cresco Capital, I would have stayed away.

If you don't have legal counsel, don't deal with these guys because they will threaten you every step of the way and scare you into doing something you don't have to do.

I was repeatedly threatened with being billed "storage fees" when they can not legally force me to pay storage fees during the time after which I bought the truck and picked the truck up. But again, if I did not have legal counsel, I would have believed their lies that I had to pay storage fees.

Jeff kept demanding that I communicate with him outside of ebay. Don't communicate outside of ebay. If you ever need to report fraudulent activity against this seller, ebay can review all correspondence.

Very unethical people.

I think I got a good price on the truck, if many of the most expensive engine parts had not been removed. The ebay listing did not say that any engine parts were missing.

I lease a truck with Cresco capital in February of 2015 and thought that I was doing something great for myself the truck stayed on the road for about 2 months and then after that every week there was a repair needed I despise these people for taking advantage of the small guy when I left I was 200 miles away and the check engine light came on and after that repair after repair after repair to a point that I was not making any money I called them to come and get the truck and now on my credit report they still have me on the total amount of the loan they have sold the truck already. It's only a matter of time before this company goes out of business because you cannot keep doing this to people and getting away with it. Sooner or later this is going to catch up to you and I want you to remember that I said this.

Timeline of events .....

5/12/15 - Started L/P of 2016 Coronado from Lone Mountain

5/29/15 - truck taken to Freightliner dealer due to water in fog light

5/31/15 - truck taken to freightliner for oil change. Also air leak in dash and front hub oilers overfilled from factory to the point that oil was coming out of the plugs.

6/15 - truck taken to freightliner shop for CEL/MIL lights for first time. Found LOW NOX EFF.... did park regen and replaced inlet NOX sensor

6/17/15 - truck taken to freightliner body shop due to hole in roof and water rushing in, causing about 4" of water to fill the bed area. Truck was down for 2.5 weeks while they removed interior and resealed the cab.

7/14/15 - truck taken to freightliner for LOW NOX codes again. replaced both inlet and outlet sensors this time.

7/18/15 - truck taken to freightliner again for same LOW NOX codes. Detroit Diesel advises them to run log files and such for engineering. Advised that DD will have test fuel maps for truck next day.

7/20/15 - truck back at freightliner for fuel maps. Advised that DD never sent them and had to re-do the procedure again. truck down for 2 days.

7/21/15 - test fuel map finally installed

7/29/15- truck shuts down on side of road. has to be towed to freightliner. Same issue found again (LOW NOX CONV) and both sensors replaced once again. Truck down for 2 days

7/30/15- truck dropped off at Inland Power Group per request of Detroit Diesel reps for further testing on chassis dyno. Truck is not brought into the shop to be worked on till the following week. Ran on chassis dyno and log files sent again to DD. Replaced DEF nozzle, and updated the ACM software for system. truck released on 8/11/15

8/23/14- truck once again shuts down on side of road for same codes. Able to get going again and taken back to Inland Power group. Advised by Lone Mountain to contact Kurt @ Truck Centers of Omaha (selling dealer) who finally returns a call one week later. Advises to replace wiring harness on truck. inland Power also does more logs with DD engineering who states that they know what the problem is. DEF nozzle is flooding SCR box and they have to design a new shield of some kind. Engineering, design and release will take around a month, maybe longer. till then unit is down....

During this entire time, I have kept Lone Mountain (Melissa my account manager) up to date and provided them with copies of every repair order. Each time they ask me if I can make my payment even tho the truck is down. A supervisor is also brought into the mix who suggests "can you maybe schedule you downtime, so that you can still make money your payments" ..... seriously?? I ask for them to replace this faulty truck with another truck, continuing my lease, but are unwilling to do so.

This final time, I told them what the shop told me and explained that the truck would be down for 30 days if not more. Their replay was " What are you going to do for 30 days with out a truck? Will your company loan you a truck to run? Will they give you a loan to make your lease payments while it's down?"

I explained that I will most likely loose my job and my lively hood. I asked that they take the truck back and work with me on the issue, and replied with " I will give this info to my supervisor and you will hear back tomorrow".

not only have they not responded, but they will not answer my phone calls or return my emails. Also, they have blocked me from posting on their Facebook page and gone as far as to remove my comments on the situation.

They stated they would work with my to fix the issue, but since have not retunred my calls.... and their lease is set up so it is iron clad and very predatory. Also, leaving me no recourse for legal action.
