Later that day, I received an email from a company called Happy Trip Animals happytripanimals.com that had previously a tracking number for the shipment of the animal. This time they claimed that the animal was being held at Cleveland International Airport until I paid $900 for additional shipping. I called them and a person who spoke poor English answered and just kept demanding the additional money.
I believe the animal breeding site and the "animal shipping" company are fake and likely run by the same individuals. When I emailed the shipping site, my email bounced back and I cannot reach the "breeder" on the phone any longer. The scheme liking extends to other breeds on other sites as well.
