Lightinthebox shows beautiful clothes and jewelry in their ads, such as evening dresses, etc. What they ship and sell is entirely different and made of fabric similar to that used in cheap T-shirts. Ordered and received a jeweled, silver unicorn pendant, which in their ads looks terrific; however, when received, you can't even read the lettering and the casting is clearly different than the one advertised. The cost to return is too great, so I guess I just lost $80+.

Ordered merchandise (clothing) from this rip off of a company. Received order and merchandise was not as described. EVERYTHING was poorly made and flimsy Tried to return everhything butd the website just sent me in circles. Reached out to the BBB - the company did ot respond It is now too late to return this merchandise and I lost over $300. Wanted to warn others not to do business with this company.

I order shirts online from this company. I contacted this company 3 times. the last time i provide shipping information proving the package was not delivered. The still refused to give a refund. The customer service department have no clue to what they are doing.

They keep asking me to follow up with the shipping company with a screenshot of the tracking which also show it wasn't going to be delivered. I will never do bussiness with them agian.

I placed my order with Light In The Box on October 23, 2017 - with a 30-45 day delivery quote. Never received.

I placed several requests for a refund and each response from customer service was to blame the difficulties with shipping from China, and to wait another 30 days. Each response was repetitive of the same information (blame the shipping company) - boilerplate. Bottom line is always "wait another 30" or so days.

The last customer service response was that they would have to do an investigation into the whereabouts of the package before they could refund my money... another 1–2 months. This is a swindle, pure and simple. The company is scamming the public.

The Light in the Box ripped me off. I bought things for my daughters wedding and had them expediated shipping. They never came. The cake topper, the Wedding Veil, lots of things. Quick on taking my money. Llousy custopmer service, no contact fax or phone number that I can find nor can anyone else I know who tries. Wedding has long since come and gone. What a deceptive company.I hope someone shuts them down.

Company is not held accountable for the delivery times they have entered into with customer. The tracking number they use is a fake. Tracking information does not update even after 40 days. Each time I query about the delay, I am met with another extension to the delivery date. First it was 10-18 days and then 20-39 days then up to 60 days, next will be 90 days ans so on until I give up. All queries for a refund are rebuffed and replaced with longer and longer delivery times. At my request for proper shipping information I am provided with a long excuse about how it isn't their fault the tracker is 'slow' to update. Actually, in my experience, carriers always update frequently. Expecting me to believe that after 40 days and the tracking # reveals only that an item shipped and is in destination is beyond reproach. It is fake. They are lying. They have not shipped the items and are refusing to refund my money The items I purchased were spinners for my boys and they have checked the mail every day for something the company has not even sent.

It breaks my heart. This company deserves to be investigated and forced to comply with the delivery times they assured their customers. If they cannot, a full refund should be given. I looked into this online and there are many more people who have experienced this with Lightinthebox. Wherein they have gotten a lawyer to finally get their money back 3 months later. It is unacceptable! Please stop them from continuing to defraud and harm customers this way. I will never order from them again but you can do something to help other people not be their next victim. Thank you for your time and attention to this.

I have a fatmax spot light that the led went out! ok the spot light cost $50.00 the led plate is $10 dollars!

I repair electronics all the time led has to be solder in. I found the led plate on a site called “LIGHT IN THE BOX” order it on 4-4-17 shipping was to be 11 to 16 days on 4-20-17 check the tacking number ( 18234883 ) just see and found out is was coming from Beijing China no problem I order products from China all the time so I know it takes anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks but the tracking Number never showed the item being shipped! just that they had received my order and That it was in the works! So I e-mailed light in the box their response was it takes 38 to 40 days which was unacceptable I asked them to cancel the order! They refused told me to wait.

on the 27th I check the tracking number again Buy this time it should have been in the U. S. found out nothing had changed! Luckily I use PayPal so I filed a dispute. on ( 5-1-17 ) I got an email from PayPal stating that the item was delivered to my house I asked them what evidence do they have because it was never delivered!! PayPal told me the item was delivered on 4-7-17 “that is two days after the supposedly shipping date” PayPal told me that the seller provided Proof of this which they would not give me.

So I asked them in what universe Can a package come from Beijing China to the US in two days after being transferred several time through pay pal finally I got to talk to someone coherent enough to realize there is no way my item was delivered to me in 2 days and that they were supply with fraudulent documentation from light in the box I was refunded my measly $8 dollars but it is the principal that this company is blatantly defrauding the US and I had to spend two hours on the phone to get PayPal to realize are to at least comprehend that light in the box not only scam me but scam them by providing fraudulent information on my order. So use light in the box at your own risk and if you use PayPal do not listen to the first level ask first supervisor it was not until level 3 That my issue is resolved. There's a card

We Ordered my daughters graduation dress. Not what we ordered at all. We ordered a black dress with silver and black stones, black corset! They sent me a white dress with silver stones and pearls. Very upsetting. My daughters prom is in 3 weeks and we cannot afford to buy another dress. I used a full weeks pay to buy the dress. I also paid for express shipping and custom made sizing. We are very upset.

This company is dishonest and will not listen to customers. I have been trying to get my money back and they refuse based on dishonest advertising. Here is what they did to me:

My future wife purchased some wedding stuff on Feb 26th. I should have known right then and there this company was crooked when the bank shut her CC off due to security reports. Since she could not pay for the items I used my CC and purchased the items. We purchase all the items because they said on the site 5-8 days delivery.

Well that was a lie it took weeks just to process before shipping. On march 10th 7 whole days before they said it would be ready to ship. I started looking at rip off websites and reading horror stories about this company. They have been ripping people off for years.

So fearing for my purchase and running out to time to buy a wedding dress and stuff I cancelled the order, they told me in a ticket system( because there is no one to call or speak to about anything) that I would have to pay 50% return fees because the dress was custom made and had already been made.

Days went by and the tickets came back saying we are still shipping even though I specifically asked for my order to be cancelled.

They gave me the run around and shipped the package anyways DHL. So I called DHL and refused the package. Their response to my refund is that they shipped it so no refund.

This is a very crooked shady dishonest company that runs out of China and has no real ties to the USA so stay away don't buy anything!!! Don't be a Victim!!

We purchased a formal gown online for prom. It was custom fit and we paid extra for prompt delivery. The dress took a month to receive. When I opened the bags, it was double bagged by DHL, there was an odor, like oil or something. When I unfolded the dress it was stained badly in front. Further inspection showed stains in back as well as puckered seams. The bodice has white glue marks under the beading. The material us not crisp but feels old with no life. I contacted DHL who stated the shipper Light In The Box would have to make out a damage report. The shipper claims no responsibility and told me to deal with D HL. Then they suggested taking the dress to be cleaned or clean it myself. They offered half the purchase amount then want me to ship the dress back at my expense. I want them to have DHL pick it up for return and my purchase price of $301.50 returned. Prom is in three weeks and we do not have money to buy another one. Their website said easy return policy. That has not been the case.

Watch out for Light in the Box, apart from bad quality goods I have since learnt about, they cannot be trusted with bank transfer payments and they do not even seem to understand their own system. I got stung and they wanted more money off me even though the money I sent was the full amopunt as verified by my bank. I paid the transaction fee and my bank said they had the full amount of money but they refused to acknowledge it for a long time, then they said they had it but was short. They would not expalin why it was short but of course it would be my fault. So they offered me £15 back after It cost me £47 to get the money to them in the first place. I cannot say how disappointed in such a terrible service. Just for a few LED bulbs. Do NOT take the risk, they should not be supported by PayPal. Try another company.

Never! Ever! Under any circumstance will I purchase from this company again. Paid for expedited shipping which is quoted as shipping time of 5 to 8 days. Placed order on the 12/2 shipped on 12/10 And pkg should have, by thier own guidelines, to have been received on the 18th. It is 12/24 Christmas Eve and still no package which means two children go without a gift from their aunt! Had post office track shipping and it's not scheduled to arrive until the 30th! If u can't keep your word and schedule don't put it in writing claiming with an additional shipping charge that you can. This company obviously has no idea how much children look forward to The gifts at Christmas. I will be disputing this charge with my Credit Card Company, requesting a shipping label at no expense to myself, and be Shipping The Items Right Back For A Full Refund! Fair warning. Do not order from lightinthebox! i was not aware they are based out of china! i paid expedited shipping fees and it took two weeks for my dress to attive. The sizing of the dress was a large. Omg. My husband could not get the back closure even close to secured and the bust part if the dress was so tight. The dress armpits cut into my skin. It was as though they dedigned the dress for a china sized woman. I will give them this, the dress is besutiful but the sizing is way off. Silly me had no idea this. Company was in china. So before i do a return and have no dress and not get my money crefited. Ack i looked them up on. Sure enough there are similar complaints. I might do better to sell the dress as a medium. Frankly i am not sure what the size is.

Light in the Box Co has a website where I purchased a real hair wig, short bob, very lite blonde, as I had lost my hair due to cancer. They sent me a long wig with fake hair, wrong color, and poor stitching. I had given them my bank credit card, so I contacted them by email many times but they did not respond. I turned it over to my bank to get credit and to send it back, they did not respond to my bank either. So I lost $65.00 and had to spend an addt'll $100. To buy a wig from a U.S. company. I was ripped off. Learned a lesson, not to deal with China.

I ordered a formal dress from Lightinthebox website 3 weeks ago. They promise 5-7 business days for delivery. They immediately charged my credit card for the full amount then never sent any email or confirmation. Weeks later after checking the site for information. I was told 4 days before the wedding that they cannot send my dress for weeks, then when I asked to cancel they said they would give me only half of my money back, which I am now doubting will happen. There is no telephone number on the site to complain and you can only check orders by going to the website. They are a total scam!!!

Light In The Box in China doesn't send the correct item that you ordered from the their website. What I got was entirely different from what I ordered. There is no contact phone number on the website or an email link to send them a complaint or to ask for assistance. Instead, they want you to send them (over the internet) a photo of the item you had actually wanted. I'm not clever at sending photos, I'm afraid. So, now it seems that I am stuck with a bracelet I don't want and that is really horrible. I know that I will never order from Light In The Box again nor will I order from any other Chinese websites. The bracelet will go into the Goodwill box on the way to buying a bracelet at the Mall! Be very careful when ordering from websites from other countries.

This Clown has a Scam. Selling Items on Ebay he offers Free Shipping. If your bid is to low and a winner he adds $50.00 shipping. Nither Ebay or PayPal will reimburse shipping charges. Thus your only way out is to cancel your order (just what he wants) so he won't lose any $$$$$$$.The worse thing is it makes him look good because you are the one to cancel. I got no where with Ebay as they said he's some kind of SUPER SELLER. More like a SUPER RIPOFF

Ordered my wife the clothes she picked out from Light In The Box website. Denim Jeans, Blue faded w/e. Check everything Material Denim, size 0, color she wants. Ordered. 2 weeks go by, they arrive, not Denim, not size 0...waayyyy off on the size, color looks like it was sprayed on with those washable inks. Pant, if you can call them that, are made of some stretchy thin material, kind of like yoga pants....so not Jeans.

Ordered 2 Dresses, and a Business Casual outfit for her after she confirmed all sizes, material etc. They arrive the exact same way as the "Jeans" above. The size is for 4-5 sizes bigger, Material is Garbage, they supposed to be light and fluffy instead they are Heavy, Droopy, look like a garbage bag instead of tailored clothing they are advertising. Destroyed my day and my wife’s. She was eager to get all these items, they arrived and made us more than disappointed.

Every single item was "mislabeled" or lied about in description, From Material used, Sizes, and Quality of the product, Pictures did not look anything like the items shipped... So ok we getting to the returns portion now.

After receiving all the items that end up looking like crap, I figured I will send them back, get the refund and that would be that. I file for the Return/Refund stating all the above problems. They reply shortly after with this exact message (other than the numbers): We have cooperation with US UPS service and can provide you a pre-paid UPS return label. You don't need to pay to UPS while the return shipping fee 【$6.4】 will be deducted from the refund. The refund you would get from us will be 【$xx.xx】

So I paid $7 per item to get them shipped here, Now I got to pay another $6+ PER ITEM to send them back, After asking A why am I paying for shipping when its an error on ALL items on their end, I was told they sell items as is and I am responsible for shipping there and back, So I tried to combine ship them all into one box and response was yet again negative and they said each item needs to be sent back individually and on some of them shipping will be more than the value of the item. That made no sense as they are all going to the Same warehouse in China...

So I am now stuck with oversized crap, Items that no one would even wear for Halloween or a hippie parade. We talking things twice the size, made out of questionable cardboardy material, that do not match the pictures or the description and I cant even get a refund for the crap.

I recommend everyone to stay away from that Site, as you will be hurt just like me when your long awaited items arrive and end up not fitting, and looking nothing like the picture, I will leave you more than frustrated when you try and return and realize you going to get at most 50% of your money back, if that... They are professional scammers, beware.

This is a scam-company. I ordered goods just after new year. 4 months later i still haven't received anything but hot air and bad excuses!

They are constantly returning to the same answer "It's at your local post office" and then they give me a company name that doesn't even exist in my country. Constantly giving me bad excuses for why the parcel haven't arrived.

I ordered via regular shipping- an hdmi cable two-way splitter. I ordered the part and paid with a major credit card. I also use norton safe-search internet search engine, and it branded this company as safe and reliable. -they are not reliable! it has been 47 days and still-no package. The company offers no contact via telephone nor any mailing address. I finally received a message from them telling me the package was shipped / sent on feb.7, and that my order has officially been designated as closed. I sent them another serious inquiry, telling them i was outraged, disappointed and wanted a refund. At least i did not spend alot of money on this order, however it still bugs me, because i used a major credit card to purchase, and i am concerned they have that information!

The subject web site, Lightinthebox.com, is running a scam internet business. This company is using all fraudulent information including its physical contact information and its branded products (Lightinthebox is actually stealing other people's copyrighted image and brand name). I ordered a massager with the brand I like, but the product I received is with different brand and with different design with Chinese or Korean manual. I have tried tremendous times to contact this company for return and explanation but I never get back anything. I finally contacted the authentic brand owner of my favorite brand in USA and was told that LightintheBox.com is not their authorized reseller and Lightinthebox.com simply copied other people's brand, images, and even description to advertise similar products on its Lightinthebox.com. what Lightinthebox.com is doing is a theft crime.

Its web site shows "A New York Stock Exchange Listed Company (NYSE: LITB)" is also a fraud.

We ordered a helicopter drone on November 24, 2015 amd was told 8-10 business days on shipping. Today is December 24th and still no package. We have sent 3 ticket requests only to be told each time that it will arrive in a few more days. They have provided a tracking number for some shipping company named 17track.net. it has shown on the website shipped December 2nd and no further updates. We have asked twice now for a refund and each response is that the package will arrive in a few days. This Light in the Box is a complete scam. DO not order from them.

Purchased a $20 off $50 coupon during Cyber Monday Deals. Order continued to state "Pending" on my account. No email was sent stating the order had gone through. No email sent stating the "coupon" was actually a "reward" which needed to be used in "X" amount of hours. Coupon purchase description never stated an expiration date/time. Never described you were actually purchasing a "reward".

I continued to check back often at the status of my order. My order continued to state "pending". I contacted customer service immediately after my purchase because an internet coupon should not take 3-5 business days to deliver as stated on my purchase order receipt. By the time customer service acknowledged my email it was too late. Customer service said my "reward" had expired, an they are not "allowd" to reissue the coupon even though I purchased the item! Evidently the "reward" I purchased expired in less than 48 hours and was hidden in a "rewards" area of my account. 1) Why would a coupon I purchased be placed in a "rewards" area? 2) Why was there no expiration date stated in the description of the ad? 3) Why does my order still state "Processing/Processing?"

This company is a complete fraud. They do not have ANY contact information on their website. No phone number, no address, and they will not email you. Items I have purchased in the past were of poor quality, and the shoes always was one larger than the other. I cannot and will not ever recommend this company to anyone in the future. I highly urge you to not do business with this China company. China does not have the same customer service quality as a USA company. Do an internet search and find a company in the USA with the same item you are looking for. It will be well worth it!

I paid expedited shipping for my order which cost more than the other 2 shipping options. It said it would arrive in 3 to 5 business days. It has been sitting in "processing" for a while now. I emailed them asking why it was not delivered in 3-5 days. They wrote back to inform me that this time frame did not include processing time and told me that it will arrive on the 20th is 12 days later. I told them to give credit my Paypal for the diference between super saver and expedited. THey offered instead a 5.00 credit towards my next order! I have no intentions of ordering anything from them ever agian. No where in the site does it say that exedited is not really expedited sipping I did find it under super saver policy but not on expedited shipping. This is deceptive and I told them that this needed to be clarified in their shipping policy for each type of shipping.

I will never order from this dishonest company again!

I ordered a dress for my mother's birthday. She was going to wear it to my wedding in the near future. I ordered the appropriate size and it came in a reasonable amount of time.

When the dress arrived it did not fit. The bust area was way off, the cape around the back did not look as described, and the size was way too small for what I ordered.

Now if you look at the refund/return policy from lightinthebox, it looks good. However, I went back and forth and escalated with the company to try and get them to give me the information to ship the dress back and get a refund. They demanded pictures, which is worthless unless someone is wearing the dress. A customer service supervisor said that I need to still send pictures in, and that I should have them with someone wearing the dress. I am not about to send pictures of my family into some random CS office.

She also said that the best she can do is give me 70% if it didn't have some major glaring defect in the dress. I have never had a company give me that hard of a time trying to return anything. And I'm a Comcast customer for pity's sake.

We ended up having to buy a completely different dress at Macy's where at least they'll take returns if their product is defective. I now have to go through other parties to dispute this order.

Unless you are 100% sure of what you are getting and you trust that the company will actually deliver the requested product, do not go anywhere near this website.

As a minor inconvenience, they do ship right from China, so your order may also take a good while to get there.
