Lifetime Publishing Group Reviews

  • Dec 10, 2016

Recieved a call from someone who said, initially, that they were from a local country club. When the call was returned he said that he was actually from "golf life" magazine that was found in all of the local golf and country clubs and offered advertising at a very reasonable annual rate.

Ran the name, found the and called the country club to see if they carried the magazine. As the last report said, they had never heard of it. Anything too good to be true...

I was contacted by phone by a man from Lifetime Publishing Group from Boca Raton Florida, around the end of October 2016. I am a counselor who had just opened a full time practice north of Cincinnati. Clearly, they had found my website and were contacting me to put an ad in a magazine that would be sent to the membership of 5 main golf courses in the Cincinnati area. I paid 300.00 for a half page ad and was told that over 20,000 members would be getting the magazine and I would be placed in page 7 of the magazine and they were only picking 2 counseling businesses to advertise in the magazine. I spoke to my father, who is a member of one of the golf courses and he said he had never heard of such a magazine and that the country clubs do not give out the addresses of members to send magazines. He told me this was a scam and i should demand my money back.

So, I called the guy, who personally gave me his home cell, and left a message to call me immediately and that I wanted my money back. He never returned my call. Next, I sent an email to the publishing email address, explained my situation and asked that someone contact me as I had left several messages and nobody was returning my call. Finally, a man named Josheph Gaddas, who was located in California, the number was: 888-266-9182 ext 402, let me a message saying that my money would be refunded in 7 to 10 business days and he quoted the last for digits of my credit card. I thought all was good. I called him back, as I have never been able to speak him directily, and left a message and thanked him for this and for doing the right thing.

The following week, I got a proof of my ad sent to me by email. I was shocked! I emailed back the person who had sent the proof and told him that I had cancelled my ad and was waiting for a refund of my money. I never heard anything back from him, either.

When over 10 business days came and went, I began calling Mr. Gaddas back and leaving messages for him that I had not received my refund. I left about 4 messages and asked him to call me back and give me the status of what was going on. He never has returned my calls.

I have been totally scammed and I want Lifetime Publishing and Mr. Gaddas to refund my 300.00 asap as he promised that he would.

I was solicited over the phone during the holiday last week to buy advertising space in a golf magazine so I asked for the young lady Maureen to e-mail me details which she was very nice and did. After receiving her info I thought it would be good and was going to purchase advertising space but I never saw the magazine so asked Brian Vulbrock, Project Mgr, who Mauren turned me over to, to let me know where I could pick up a copy of the magazine and that I was very interested in purchasing space. He never addressed where I could find the magazine and quoted me prices and that there was a deadline and only wanted my credit card #?!?!. I let him know I would be purchasing 1/4 pg but that I was very busy with clients , he kept texting and calling me for my credit card #, which I did not give him, and then he texted me the following "Reserve me a 2 bedroom at Turnberry...i will send u a check a couple weeks after i move in". Needless to say I will not be spending any marketing dollars with Golf Life Magazine , Lifetime Publishing Group with that type of employee professionalism.

I was told I would be contacted by their design team to create a four color display ad with in the week. I never heard from the graphics team so I tried to contact them several times without any luck. I sent several emails to the company and finally they responded. Soon I received a proof that was nothing like I expected. I then contacted the Country Clubs I was told would be distributing the publication and they have never heard of Life Time Publishiing Group. Not a single one of the Country Clubs had any idea what I was talking about and have never seen the publication my ad was suppose to be in.

I have tried several times to receive proof the publication was printed without success.
