Liberty Data Center One man claimed that I could give a donation to a local charity - showed me a folder full of book gift sets - and I said that I would donate a $300 set of books to a battered women's center. he never wrote down the name of the shelter, and I did not give him an address. I told him that I did not have any checks, and did not have $360.00 in cash in my home. He suggested that I go to the ATM when I asked him to return the following day to give him a check. Stupidly and naively, I did go to the ATM while he canvassed the rest of the neighborhood, and withdrew cash to give to him. He returned one hour later and took the cash, leaving me with a pink sales "receipt" for the $360.00. On the back of the Receipt, I read that I could cancel this "contract" within 3 business days. The next day, I went on my computer, and realized that I had been scammed when several Rip Off sites listed Liberty Data Center as a fraudulent organization.

I sent a registered letter immediately to Liberty asking for me money to be returned. I received a letter from Liberty 3 weeks later asking me for proof of payment of my check for $60.00. I had already sent color copies of the "Receipt" in my registered letter. Once again, I sent a scan of my "Receipt" to Jessica Washington, Customer Relations rep (listed on letter). I have heard nothing, and I really do not expect to get my money back. I am not through trying, however, and I will pursue these thieves. Glendale Arizona

I tried to call company but they have no phone number, only computer address. I e-mailed them twice before check was deposited, they never replied. I also never got the books I ordered. the salesman said someone from the company would contact me in 8 days from the time I wrote the check, NO call!!! I felt that I could of told them then to cancel the order. I feel I was scamed. So I am out the $180.00 and no prodeuct to show for it. Michele

On June 22, 2017 a young man knocked on our door and indicated he was selling magazine subscriptions to pay his way through college.

I signed up for several subscriptions that totalled $96.00, but never received a single issue. He insisted on payment on the spot, with which I complied.

A sad result of this is that I will never, ever buy again from a door to door salesperson. That is too bad for the legitimate student trying to pay their way through college or the disadvantaged person trying to feed their family.

Liberty Data Center

Don't bother feeling sorry for the poor fellow who just got out of jail and is trying to do the right thing and blah, blah, blah. He probably doesn't know that he works for a rip-off organization. I don't know how they get away with this. William Spratt was the jolly little ex-con in Virginia selling air.

October 6, 2017 Approached by salesman while I was working in the yard..

I believed this salesman and how he was making a better life for himself and his daughters. Wrote a check for 84.00 for a Health magazine October 9, 2017. I have never received it. I have purchased magazines before from salesman and have always gotten them but not this time.

Ripped Off as well!

I was approached by a door to door salesman on 6/14/17. He gave me a sob story that he was an ex-con and father that was trying to be a better person after he paid his debt to society and as such was working in sales door to door. I was in a helping out mood, so I took out 2 magazine subscriptions to allow this salesman, Marcus Mack, was the name he gave me, to earn points. I started to receive one of the magazines pretty quickly and regularly. The second magazine, Wine Enthusiast, never showed up. So in November I went on www.libertydatacenter.com and sent an email to their customer service address. I actually got a response back! The response said: "It looks like there is an error and you were only entered in for the 1 magazine. I have entered you in for Wine Enthusiast and I have placed this on a rush. I do apologize for the inconvenience." Well, that was 6 weeks ago and still no WE Magazine! So I've emailed them twice in the past week, and shocker, no response. Today I called Wine Enthusiast and they have no subscription in my zip, or with my name. They've never heard of Liberty Data Center! Fellow consumers, please be ware! If anyone from this organization shows up at your door, send them away and tell them to never come back!

My neighbor is legally blind and suffers from dementia. LibertyDATA sold her a magazine subscription.

There is a sign clearly posted on the front of her home NO SOLICITATION. I was out running and errand. Not only did they rip her off they went into her wallet and took $68.00 out.

Tried calling, wrong a letter asking that the money be returned. Reported it to the elder abuse office of Westchester County, New York.

was taken for a ride - Scamed

Salesman from Liberty Data Center, Glendale, Arizona scammed me!!! told me a story to help him out in his work. Told me after I wrote the check that someone will call me to confirm my order. The check was deposited, no phone number available, no one called to check on order & no product received. I am out $180.00 & there is nothing I can do about it. All I can do is report it to the News on T.V.

On May 27, 2017, a salesperson from Liberty Data Center came. He convinced my daughter, who was home alone, that she could make a charitable donation by buying a book and sending it to a charity. No information was provided for the charity and the receipt clearly indicates they do not accept donations of any kind.

My daughter paid $84 in cash and got a receipt saying that refund will be issued if cancellation request is submitted within 3 business days. The sale was made on a Saturday. I sent a certified mail with the original receipt requesting the refund by the following Tuesday - this met the 3-business day requirement for cancellation. However no response was ever received from this company. No e-mail address or phone was provided on their website. I tried to contact them via their website at the "contact us" section on June 29, 2017. After I submitted my inquiry, I noticed that next to the "submit" bottom, it says that "By clicking 'submit' I agree to some ridiculously invasive terms that I didn't actually read."

There was NOTHING to read at the contact page and there's no real way to contact this entity. They do not respond to anything from their website or via mail. They sent out so called salesperson making fake sales and issue fake receipts with fake cancellation policy on it.
