So it was March 18that she decided to go in. They week turning people down left and right if they didn't make a certain amount of income preferably at least 40 to 50,000. They wouldn't even show the property. So they claim they could get everything done by beginning of April. Well obviously that was a lie because even though they knew her credit score they claim now it seems too low and had her pay everything down and still said nope it's too low wanted 4600 originally for deposit then they said you need two months down payment as well which her rent so 1371 a month.

Pretty far from 799. When she added the money to her bank account they said it looked like drug money because it was cash(offensive and discriminatory) they had several different approveday loan notifications and papers she signed still no loan and now 4 months later and they are still giving the run around. She's been on a tight budget ever since cause she fears they will need every last penny of her money to show in her bank account and they don't seem to be doing there job at lgi which is to get her loan. Now she signed so many things, her deposit and all the other money is tied up with them and she's stuck.

Don't waste your time LGI Homes Clermont FL- First off you will not get any brochures or details of the community or any of the home layouts to take home with you. You will get a 45 to 1 hour wasted sales script of their company and the area that you can easily look up online. It is worse than sitting through any timeshare scripted sales pitch or a scam telemarketer sales script. you have no choice of cabinets or counter-tops - as there are no upgrades unless you opt for their luxury models as they call them. Not much different than the cookie cutter homes where every home will have the same cabinetry and counter-tops. floors etc. The price start at $220,000 - LGI homes look more like low income homes - even Habitat for Humanity homes have better quality and options. You will feel trapped as they bring out their notebook and have to go through each step of their script without ever getting the chance to look at any home features. After you do - thats when you will realize what a waste of time you sat there with the slow talking sales script these people force you to listen to before seeing a sample of their cheap crappy homes. For $5000. more you will realize all the better homes built by reputable builders close by and be given all the brochures without the pressure sales LGI homes does.

Last week, I drove four hours to meet with an LGI Homes consultant; who was very professional, with a glowing personality, and I knew right away that she was a good person. On the other hand, her coworkers, including the VP of Lending, John, really mislead me. On the first day, I was given the chance to meet with the VP of Lending; who checked my credit report, and he said I was "approved". He looked over my finances, and said he would do everything he could to get me into a home. But, first, I needed to provide a $1,000 deposit to reserve the home of my choice. My debit card was stolen, and I never use checks, but they take moneyorders. As a result, I returned the next day with a moneyorder, because the last house in my price range, was at stake. Keep in mind, I drove four hours once again. When I arrived with the moneyorder, the VP of Lending announced my name with the overhead speaker -- that my lot was taken off the market, and congratulated me with handshakes and glee.

On the first day, I was given a tour of homes. I had spent most of the day at their office, and they even had me stake a sold sign in the ground, on the lot that I had just reserved. The house wouldn't be ready for move-in until October. I expressed to the VP of Lending, and my consultant -- that my income wasn't sufficient yet, but that I was starting a second job, and both jobs would easily transfer to the new area. They kept saying that I had plenty of time, and not to worry.
