Lease Finance Group Reviews

  • Jul 26, 2018

I was deceived by one of LFG sales representatives into signing a four year contract (while being told that what I was signing was simply the terms of the interests that my customers were going to pay (whenever they financed the products through them.) I was also informed of my responsibility to pay $80 a month (in the events that no sales were made on a calendar month.) I was NOT told that I was entering a binding contract of 4 years and that I was going to have to keep paying them whether I used their services or not!

Unfortunately, after a year of loosing money and struggling with the business, I had to take my losses and close the business. I called LFG to notify that I would no longer need their service and equipment and to ask where I needed to return their loan processing machine. When I called, they never told me that I was going to have to keep paying for the equipment, nor did they give me a choice to purchase the equipment. They simply gave the the address to send the equipemt back to them and a month latter I got a bill from them in the mail. I thought it was a mistake and when I called to clarify, they told me that would have to keep paying the $80 a month for 3 more years! I got very upset and explained to them that I was deceived and never told I was signing a 4 year contract! They offered me to pay them the whole amount in full (which was $3,100.00 back then.) I asked to speak with the owner or a manager. I told him that I was mislead into signing the document on my phone without a chance to read the fine print and without being told I was entering a 4 year contract. I explained that I had already returned the equipment and that I wanted him to penalize his sales person for being deceitful. I also asked him to stop sending me bills. He then explained that they had payed over $3,000.00 in commission to the sales guy who had scammed me and that is why they could not offer me to waive the payments. He told me it was my fault for not taking the time to read the whole contract. I sure learned my lesson about trusting sales people and I will never sign a contract on the phone again without reading every single line! I was a first time business owner and was very trusting and naive and believed I was being told the truth.

Well, they filed a judgement in IL back on May of 2015 for $3,000.00.

Then, last May, I got an updated letter from them saying that I now owe them over $5,000,00.

I am glad to say that yesterday I found out that a lawsuit was filed against LFG. Here is the information in case anyone here wants to contact the NY Attorney General:

I hope this helps someone else who has also been decieved by these crooks. Do NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!

"In April 2016, the New York Attorney General filed a lawsuit against Northern Leasing Systems, Lease Finance Group, and MBF Leasing “for their fraudulent and deceptive practices that trap small business owners across the country.” The lawsuit alleges that Northern Leasing Systems and its subsidiaries knowingly deceived thousands of business owners into buying overpriced equipment and then abused the judicial system by filing suit in New York to collect on overdue lease payments. The lawsuit seeks to vacate default judgments obtained by Northern Leasing against business owners, enjoin the company and its owners from further deceptive practices, obtain restitution for merchants, dissolve Northern Leasing, and force the company to notify all three major credit reporting agencies that the default judgments have been vacated. It was allowed to proceed in December 2017 and has not yet been resolved. This marks the second action that the New York Attorney General has taken against Northern Leasing Systems. Merchants who have been harmed by Northern Leasing Systems are instructed to file complaints here or call 1-800-771-7755."

I leased a credit card machine over 15 years ago from a company i believe was global merchant services in brooklyn. I've been paying $45.90 per month via ACH thru my bank all of these years. We had to close the business in 2017. none of the phone numbers i had on file worked for the company holding the lease so that i could shut the account down and discard the equipment (imagine a credit card machine from the early 2000s).

I finally had to have my bank put a fraud alert on my bank account to stop the ach debits. within a few weeks i received a bill for the 2 months of missed pays ($91) from lease finance group llc. i tried calling the number on the bill several times and finally got a person on the phone to discuss canceling. i was told it would be canceled, but i would either have to pay the $91 bill or the balance of the lease that was over $300.

i hit the roof and then composed myself in order to figure out how to get the credit card machine returned to stop the insanity. i was told it had to be returned to the address on the bill, lease finance group llc, c/o lease equipment processing center, 419 east main st, suite 102, middletown, ny 10940. i went to my local ups store and both times the store rep filled in the info on her ups computer, the address bumped from 419 to 49 east main st.

Now i'm stuck babysitting ups all day today in the hopes of making sure that the pkg gets delivered to the correct location so i don't keep getting hit with charges. i called lease finance this morning to confirm the address, and it claimed it was 419 east main st. what absolute despicable insanity. i've placed a nys ag complaint this morning and am adding a Yscam complaint now too. i've paid over $8000 for this machine and i'm still not done with the harassment.

These people must be shut down and stopped from causing other small businesses this much grief. it's bad enough to have to shut down after all of these years, but to have been scammed and still be getting scammed is unacceptable.

Ater 12 to 14 months the machine quit working. After calling for 3 weeks I contacted another credit card processing company. They to used lease finance group. i was paying for the new machine stop paying for the old broken machine. LFG contuined to pull money from my account after being shut out of account. they called every day for a year threating to sue and take me to court, even called my sons cell phone although he had nothing to do with my company. they contuie to send letters for payment for 1532.58 to this date. they have reported this to my credit. in their lease agreement if any problem is not taking care of in resonably time the contract is void i gave them 3 weeks.

I have a 4-year agreement with this company to lease the credit card machine and it's about to end in April 10, 2017.

When I called in to find out how to end this agreement and how to return the equipment, they told me that I have to pay $150 for re-stocking fee. This is so ridiculous.

I do not break the contract. During the term of the contract, I have paid $171/month to lease the equipment for 4 years.

I am very upset about this charge and want to let everyone know that needs to be careful when dealing with this company.

I got scamed by these crooks like so many other people and small businesses.

They come over (a girl of course) after promessing you the world, show you how much money you would save by switching to them but they dont tell you that you are signing your life to them.

She showed me the contract for the Merchant service and all looked good, she managed to slip in under the mount of pater to sign the leasing paperwork without telling me that its NON CANCELLABLE.'I thought i was going to be charged one time fee for the machine $230 but instead i signed a 5 years contract with these scums.

Tried to call them so many times, and after waiting for several minutes each time, the perosn on the phone would always be rude and not helpful.

I even tried to just replace the machine that was not working with one that was up to standard with no result.

After 18 months i decided to close the bank account and now they are after me of course.

Someone should really do something to exterminate these guys, i can't believe they are still allowed to do business.

I have been deceived by this fraudulent company through their unethical and deceptive trade practices. At first, a salesman contacted me and promised me a credit card machine service that processes customer payments and charges us at a much lower rate than our previous credit card machine provider.

However, the service charges that came in a month later were anything but lower. The monthly charges were absolutely exorbitant and was not anything that the salesman had promised me. I contacted Lease Finance Group about this, and the representative simply shrugged off my complaints, stating that it "was not their problem" and was the salesman's because he had lied to us. They said that I had signed a 4-year, uncancellable lease with them, even though I did not, and that I would have to pay thousands of dollars for the credit card machine that they gave me.

A salesman enetered my store in 2010 and convinced me to switch my credit card company to Lease Finance Group. He advised me there was no contracts, just and agreement form. When my business closed in 2012 I called to return the equipment, and was advised that they did not want the equipment back. I did not realize that I was entitled to pay this comoany for 5yrs until 2013 when I saw they had a balance on my credit report. I could not afford to pay the company the amount they were asking for. They said I could pay the $2,350.00 in full or may a payment arragment for $3,000 over 6 months. I could not afford either.

When I continued to ask question the woman handling my account became annoyed, rude started yelling at me, and threatened to hang up on me, and threatened to sue me despite me trying to resolve the issue. She began insulting me, which then her and I began arguing. She then said that she took my social securtiy number and ran my crdit without my permission and stated to me that she knew I was trying to buy a house. As I stated to her that was an invasion of my privacy she then stated that when I gave them my social securtiy number I was giving them permission to look into my personal information. I was scared to death as I just engaged in an argument with this woman, and she could do anything with my information. I am so scared I dont know what to do? please please please someone help me!

On November 4, 2003 I entered into a lease agreement with Lease Finance Group that authorized them to debit my checking account on the 31st of each month the amount of $82.12 + taxes for 48 months, $89.32 per month. They continued to withdraw the lease amount until I changed bank accounts in March of 2016. They have withdrawn from my account 148 times. I had to change my bank account in order to get them to stop.

I have attempted to contact them via phone and each time I start describing what I am calling about I get transferred. Once transferred I am sent to a voice mail box. I have since done extensive research on this company and know that they are a major rip off. By my calculations they have charged me $89.32 for 148 months. The lease amount would have been $89.32 x 48 months, or $4,287.36, which in itself is ridiculous, but they charged me for an additional 100 months or $8,932.00 more than my contract.

Was approached by Innovative Radiance Marketing Consultant stating that she represents LFG in providng the best solution to credit card processing and will beat any other offer. I was caught in a bait and switch to sign first in order to find out the best rate available. The criteria was to sign first to know the best rate you can get but both the rep and LFG knew that was not true as signing would mean leasing their terminal for a 4 year period (they did not disclose that at all) only found out later that you will be charged $5000 for a credit card swipe terminal while it only cost $800 to buy the top of the line with EMV reader unit. After finding out rep never replied , does not answer phone and these crooks slap you with statements and harassment saying you did not pay them. Destoying peoples life and credit through a bait and switch is the worse act. These people need to be pusnished, put out of business and compensate all the the people for their fradulent acts and Intentianal Inflictional of Emotional Distress caused.

Salesman talked me into changing credit card companies with a lower processing rate then I was previous paying for my small business. He explained that I would have to lease the equipment for $88 per month. What I didn't realize is this was a non-cancelation lease for 60 months! I paid for 30 months before I went out of business. Now they refuse to take back equipment and want me to pay another 30 months! That's $5280 for a machine that is would have cost me maybe $300 cash. I feel so taken....I can't believe this is legal. Now I have to worry about my good credit that I worked hard for. I am sure this was in the contract, but really, 10 pages of legal jargon. This could never happen with a car or cell phone fiance company. Is there any rights for the consumer? PLEASE HELP ME!

The sales rep said I would save money on my monthly credit card rates. The rates were much higher. They were also drafting out of my account so I could not do anything about it. As it turned out I signed a 5 or 6 year lease. About a year into the lease I closed that company and opened a new company wtih new partners. I opened a new bank account so they could no longer draft my account. At this point I started to receive calls. I told with I would send the equipment back which they would not agree to. I offered to give them a reasonalbe settlement based on the value of the equipment which they would not do. Now I get harrassing calls, letters and threats of a las suite. I believe they are a scam and would welcome a law suite but it never comes. They have filed against my credt but that is not my biggest concern.

Paid them thousands of dollars over the years for leasing credit card machines that I did not even have - as they were returned when I changed processing companies. Finally pulled the plug and refused to pay them any more.

Now they call contantly to harrass me and my employees. What can I do?

  • Sep 9, 2015

NPC or Retriever Processing allows reps to come in and offer better credit card processing rates, but you must lease THEIR machine. You can buy the same machine for $289.95 or less but you must lease this in order to get their rates.

Lease Finance Group, LLC claims these people are not their employees, but they represent them in order to force companies to get the rates they offer, so isn't that somehow misrepresentation then?Obviously if LFG, charges 12 times more for their leased equipment, they have the resources to be obnoxious and annoying to the few who have tried to get out from under them.

I signed a 3yr contract with lease finance group and summitt merchant solution. The contract started on 10-02-2009. I cancelled the contract on feb, 18 2015. Once the cancellation was send to them. I received a fedex package with the new lease sign non-cancellable for another 5-yrs. I did not response to that. Two days later I received a call from tiffany sanders who had send the extension through fedex. I informed her I am not extending any contracts with them. She transferred me to another dept. where the other gentleman said you owe us $600. I asked for what. He said early cancellation. I told him I had a 3-yr contract what early cancellation. He said we renew it on yearly basis. I told him I have never heard of that before. H e said you owe us $600. I asked

him where do I return your machine. He said that has a different company and I have to call a different no. I called that no. that I was given. Nobody picked up so I left them a message asking what address I need to return the machine to. I called them couple of times later no one responded and I kept on leaving the message. In June I received letter from from leasefinance group informing me that I owe them $165.63 fromt he last 3 mths.

I have 2 bills one for $334.19 from lease co.(lfg) which is increasing every month by $81.20

summitt merchant is going through commercial svs grp they are claiming $624 instead of $749.33 claimed by summitt corp.

I haven,t paid them anything. Nevertheless I keep on getting threatening letters and call.
