Learn To Trade SA Reviews

  • May 22, 2019

My sister and I thought LearnToTrade was our answer to finally making a way for ourselves and learning Forex would help us in our journey to financial freedom however, LearnToTrade treated my sister and I poorly and they are now avoiding us and the matter of giving us our money back, even though they are in violation of the consumer act.

From the get-go the service was distrustful. After attending the information session, we were promised $5 000 trading account if we were one of the first 5 to sign up and pay the deposit – we did. We never received this even after confronting them. Our coach, Matthew, did not show up for our coaching sessions, more than once. We took the problem up with info @learntotrade.co.za however their service was just as shocking, and they replied to us after our coaching sessions had expired. After paying a very hefty sum of money for the service LearnToTrade offers and not receiving the service that we paid for we took it up with management. I have been in contact with Yusuf, the general manager of LearnToTrade SA. Unfortunately, he has not shown a care for the matter and every time I ask him to communicate with me on the matter, he does not.

The horrific service that we have received from LearnToTrade is in violation of the Consumer Act.

According to Consumer Right No. 6:

Right to Fair and Honest Dealing

Your right to protection against over-selling:

- Suppliers are not permitted to accept payment or other consideration for any goods or services, if: They have no intention of supplying those goods or providing those services;

- Consumers have the right to demand refunds for full amounts paid in respect of commitments or reservations, together with interest, at prescribed rates, from the dates of payment until the dates of reimbursement.

We have not received any service and are demanding a refund as the money we paid was a large sum and we have not gotten our money’s worth. Yusuf, the general manager, has been avoiding the matter, it seems, and I feel like if I tell the public of their dishonest dealings, maybe they will feel led to deal with the matter at hand. My sister and I are reasonable people. As customers, we expect to be treated well and receive the services we pay for, especially if the charge is R25 399!
