As the Christmas season is fast approaching, I was doing some shopping for family and friends in Phillipsburg (Front Street). Now, I hadn’t been there in a while (maybe 4-5 months) and I noticed several new stores have opened that all seem to be selling the same thing… Well not exactly the same thing, they are all selling face creams but made from different things like “diamonds, precious gems, 14K Gold” etc. The individuals selling these products all come off as very nice as well as presentable with very strong accents, and very complimentary to passerby’s that they are trying to coax in to their store. A gentleman offered me a free sample of cream but I politely refused as I did not have time to be dealing with that sort of thing as I was on a shopping mission.

However, my shopping trip was looking bleak and I was still empty handed for a gift for my sister-in-law. So walking back to my car, I decided to check out some of the creams that I was previously offered a sample of. I thought maybe it could make a good gift…

Bad idea!!!

I was stuck in the store for about 15-20 minutes and during that time spoke with two “employees”, one male and one female. They both had very thick accents but one said they were from the USA and the other was from France. Didn’t make sense to me but I was more interested in learning about what they were selling. I have personally never heard about the skin care company they were representing but they told me all about their product and how good they are. They insisted that I try some kind of eye cream and face mask to see why it so special and what miracles it does. They at first seemed very polite but very aggressive at the same time. After my “trial” I was informed of the prices which ranged from USD $500-$600 and even $2000 for the “special” creams. I declined on purchasing anything as its really expensive. To be honest, I wouldn’t have even tried a sample if they had prices in their stores on the products they sell. I felt bad for wasting their time as I didn’t know that these creams were going to be THAT expensive!

Then the games started… A female “manager” came to me and ask me where I’m from. I told her that I was born in Canada but that I live here in St. Maarten. She proceeded to tell me that she loves Canadians, they are their #1 customers in the store and that she will help me get her personal discount of 50% off the said prices. Despite the discount the price was still more that I was willing to spend on a Christmas gift and even though my patience were running thin at this point, I nicely refused. Then the manager asked me to wait 2 minutes while she called her “boss” for an ever BETTER discount! While I was waiting, I phoned a good friend of mine that is a make-up artist as she knows all about skin care. I wanted to ask her if she heard about this company and what she had to say about it but she hadn’t heard of any of the brand names I was telling her either. The manager finally came back and told me that her boss agreed to give me 75% OFF as well as a few small gifts because its Christmas time and apparently he is generous man.

If I wasn’t before, I am now starting to become more and more suspicious of all of this activity. They don’t even know me yet are willing to do so much for me... How can a product that starts out costing $500 that is apparently such a “high quality” product be sold to me for only $125 and “free” gifts be added to the deal too??? I’ve had enough at this point and I told them that it is really important for me to do a little bit of research and read some reviews before I spend so much money on something I have never heard of. While I was there I noticed how pushy they were with their sales tactics but I just assumed it was because they got paid commission but as I stuck to my statements on how it was too expensive and IF I do buy it, some reading is needed on my part, they became more aggressive, rude and insulting to me! They actually told me that I don’t care about my face as they gave me the biggest discount in the world that no one ever got and I still didn’t buy it. I walked right out of the store at that point as I just got a bad feeling of a SCAM waiting to happen.

Later on that evening I met with friends and told them the whole story of what happened to me while shopping in Phillipsburg during the day. As we were all in agreement that the whole situation was strange, one of my friends went to Phillipsburg the next day to check it out for herself just to see what would happen. Sure enough she reported back with the EXACT same story but they even offered her 80% OFF!!! During their effort in trying to sell my friend face cream, conversation came up as to where everyone was from… this time the employees said they were from Montreal Canada and South America...

I took it upon myself and decided to do some looking in to about the brands that were trying to be sold to me in Phillipsburg not because I was interested in buying anything anymore but because their whole business set up and way of operating was just 100% shady. “Lionesse Precious Gems, L'Core Paris 14K Gold skin care, Forever Flawless Diamond skin care and Adore Natural skin care”

After reading all of the reviews (links are below) I feel so lucky to have NOT bought anything from them! All of the stores in Phillipsburg are probably owned by the same people, they all suddenly opened at the same time of the year 50 meters away from each other and ironically all of those sales people have the same exact accent. From reading reviews online they all lied to me as they from ISRAEL and working illegally.

This company is nothing but a scam!!!! They do not stand behind their products and the customer service is terrible!!! Save your hard earned money and buy something from Wal-Mart....Their products are nothing more than watered down dollar store products that do nothing they say.

They lure you into their store by saying they have a product that takes wrinkles away. They apply a small amount of some cream that seems to make your face tingle and you can see your skin looking smoother. Now, this is where they get you.....when you purchase this junk for $500, it is not the same stuff they used on you to get you in their store. After you take the products home and start to use them, they do nothing!!!!! It's because they do not sell you the same stuff they used on you earlier!!! Totally disgusting! I don't know how they can get away with this kind of business... And you cannot get a refund!!!!! Well, if they stood by their products, and they were so great, then why can't you get a refund??

Obviously, this is how they operate. They steal your money and use "fake" products to make you think you are getting something that you're not!! If I got what I thought I was buying, I wouldn't be complaining now, would I?? I really wanted this junk to work, but it did not!!! I'm out $500 and they are living high off the hog. Maybe they should take my money and invest it into a product that actually works!!!! I hope their company is forced to shut down and they go under!!!! They are a total rip-off!!!!!!!!!!!

Venofye

I visited their shop in las vegas and was really impressed with the results. I decided to purchase some product and when i noticed the no refund policy, I voiced my concern because I have been using clinique products for years due to sensitivity. Tali told me if I had any problems I could call her directly. After using for two weeks, my face was very itch and so I gave her a call. After numerous attempts, she finally texted me that I had waited too long to contact her. Be very careful when you enter their shops because they are very pushy.

Great products and company

WOW!!! This is the most amazing products and customer service that I have experienced in a very long time. I have been reading some of the reviews and I must say that I've had nothing but a remarkable experience with L'core and their products. I have been using their Crystalline 60 second Face Lift and Express Lifting Cream for about three months now and I have noticed a considerable difference in the lines and puffiness around my eyes. NO products that I've ever used have even given me a fraction of these results. I made my purchase from a knowledgeable representative at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and had a very pleasant purchasing experience and will recommend this product and company to friends and family.

I purchased $700+ of l'core products on the show floor of a conference at the las vegas conference center. When i got back to my hotel room to review the products, i found that none of them had any sort of factory seal. I went online to better understand the background of these products and found numerous negative reviews - not just about the products but also about the fraudulent nature of sales and customer experiences. I further reviewed product websites and none of them signal credibility. Key examples include major typos on websites, mis-representation of media coverage. Since contacting the company with my complaint, i notice that the majority of those 1-star ratings are now gone. And 1-star reviews on amazon are also gone.

Additionally, the corporate entity responsible for products and sales seems to be a shell game - the product brand is l'core, the sales representative uses an agora business card, the credit card receipt lists venofye as the name of the company and the customer service representative is from las vegas cosmetics.

I submitted a customer service form asking for a full refund given the concern that a lack of factory seal and low product/corporate credibility indicated a serious health risk. My request for a refund was denied. I was offered products in exchange - also with questionable brand reputation.

Given the high-end nature of products sold i would expect there to be more focus on brand reputation and customer satisfaction. In the absence of this, i can only suspect fraud.

During our stay in Las Vegas at the Rio All Suite Resort we were lured into a small store named L'Core Paris. Amit Bar offered a demo of the product that would reduce puffy undereyes. The product was effective at that time. He proceeded to sell us, under pressure, the Line Correction Black Mamba and eye serum. After negotiating the price, which he claims he saved us hundreds of dollars, we ended up spending $540.00. He offered to give me a facial at no cost so we went back to the store for the facial - which was our mistake!!! Amit did the facial and also did a 'neck lift'. Yes, the product work wonderful at that time. Amit told us that Celine Dion used their products. We ended up purchasing that line of product which the price started out as $3,000. We said no to the purchase. After pressuring tactics, he lowered the price to $1297.00. We paid it and he agreed to ship the products to our home. When we arrived to our room, we opened the Black Mamba and eye serum products and noticed that neither of the products were protected by a proctective seal - that was my first concern. We did continue to apply the Black Mamba and serum before we went to bed that night. Amit's instructions were to use these products for 7 nights straight and then 1 time a week. When we woke up the next morning - the puffiness was still there and our eyes and the surrounding tissue was red and inflamed. We thought possibly the product would take a couple of nights to get better results - which they continued to inflame our skin. We emailed and called Amit immediately and received no reply until 3 day later. He only emailed us - never a call, which when he sold us the products he said he would be available by phone to speak to us anytime we had any questions. In his emails he never addressed the issue - his responses were always 'no refund can be issued'. Actually the last email I received from his stated "My dear I have told you again and again there are no refunds....." and he gave me the customer service phone number.

Our other second order had come UPS and we refused the package.

I called the customer service phone number and finally got through to Chantele, which she claims to be the Manager. She took my information and said that a Stephanie would be calling me - I have heard nothing to this date.

I believe the products that L'Core Paris sent home with us and the products that were mailed are not the same products that they demonstrated in the store. The products that they sent us home with burned our eyes and face and we are still trying to rehydrate our faces. This is an example of bait and switch.

Do not buy their products!

L'Core Paris is located in the Shoppes at the Mandalay Bay. They lure you in with a promise of the '60 second face lift' -- which takes more like 35-40 minutes. They give a hard sales pitch and try to play on your sensitivities, then when you continue to distrust them, they actually POUT and play on your own ethics, then they lower, lower, lower the price to let you think you're getting an amazing deal --- and then when you produce your credti card, they sell you a completely different product and you don't find out that it isn't even remotely close until you get it home --- Then they will not give a refund, nor will they answer their phones or respond to emails to their customer service. They are too busy ripping off the next unsuspecting person that walks in.

My sales person was Lilian M. and she actually called me Hon and Love over and over again telling me that I should trust her and that we women need to stick together and take care of ourselves, blah, blah, blah. She actually gave me her supposed personal email and phone and will not respond (of course!) to either.

Classic Bait and Switch and no recourse. I have filed a complaint with BBB and also am disputing the charges via my CC company and plan to complain direct to the Mandalay Bay about the trashy ethics of the shoppes in their locale.
