I took my truck a 03 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7l in for a over Heating problem. In doing so, they needed to remove the heads and gaskets on the vehicle . They told me that they knew how to do this type of work that was required to complete this task. it took them 3 weeks to do this work. this is not what they told me . it would take only a week . I would go up to the shop and check on my vehicle. I brought my truck to their shop on the 26th of February which was a monday. they said the work would be competed on march the 5th the following monday the 5th of march. doing this time the mechanic called me at home and told me to rebuild the heads on the vehicle would cost me 800.00 at a local machine shop here in Killeen Tx I knew the shop so I did not believe the mechanic so I went to the shop that he said they wanted 800.00 for the work . I ask the shop owner how much would it cost to rebuild my heads and he said that it would cost me 500.00. that's 250. per head. not 800.00 which would of been 400.00 a head. He was to make a 300.00 extra in He's pocket, so I caught the mechanic in a lie. He was trying to over charge me by 300.00. knowing that I caught him in a lie he became agree with me. I went up the his shop got the heads and took them to the machine shop my self. and then took them back to him to install them. with in these 3 weeks he had my vehicle he was changeing oil working on other cars he went for days with working on my truck until I approached him about this. he kept saying next thursday so this went from the 26th of february to the 14th of march. on march the 14th I recieved a call from the mechanic tell me that I can pick up my vehicle. i paid for it drove it about one block and it shut off on me finally got it home and it died and water started to come from under the truck and would not started again. at this point I was done . after 3 weeks and lies I call the dealer ship and had the truck towed their. I went back up to kwik kar on rancier and showed the mechanic pictures of my truck beening towed to another shop and the mechanic stated to me why did you not bring it back up here, I told him what was I suppose to pay for the tow. if so I rather take it to another shop so he said that he was not going to give me my money back because I did not give him the chance to repair it . well he had 3 weeks to fix my truck the right way in the first place. so it should of been done right the first time.
