K.E. on the Track Reviews

I posted a snippet of my new single "Brok Niggas” on my instagram page. Within minutes after posting it someone named will.ceo left a comment complimenting my music and asking me to send him a DM to talk music. According to will.ceo’s title on Instagram he is K.E. on the Tracks Manager. I sent will.ceo a DM and he said that K.E. on the Track asked that I email him directly. Will.ceo said that "I’m sure with your sound and his beats you will make classics”.

I emailed K.E. and he responded not long after. He said I was very talented and that he could take my career to the next level. He told me to look him up on Wikipedia and his website to see all the majors he’s worked with. He said he’s been putting artists on because he has a lot of relationships in the industry. Then he asked what my budget was. I looked at K.E.’s website, Instagram, Wikipedia and YouTube and blogs and he indeed he has worked with many major music artists.

His page is verified on Instagram so all of these things made it seem like he’s legit. Due to all of these factors my usual "scammer alarm” bells initially did not go off. I figured that a producer who has worked with a lot of majors like K.E. would charge thousands for beats.

So I initially didn’t see how I was going to work with him. I informed K.E. that I don’t have a big budget because I’m an Independent Artist and then I said hopefully we can work something out. He didn’t respond to that email. I figured he didn’t respond because I didn’t give him a price for my budget. In my mind being contacted by a known music producer was an opportunity that I didn’t want to miss. So I came up with a $500 budget and contacted K.E. to see if it was something he could work with.

As soon as I emailed him with a budget he responded right away and commented saying he we could get started but he would only drop his beat price to $500 if I purchased the beats the same day. He made a comment about me taking three days to respond to let him know what my budget was and that because I took so long he didn’t know if I was serious about my career. He told me he’s more of an action type man. His response was very cocky and assertive. He writes and speaks with major confidence which is typical for a con artist.

I told him I could get started the same day. So he asked for my phone number and then called to talk to me over the phone. We talked for about 30 minutes he said he likes to get to know an artist before he asks for a payment. He told me he wanted to mentor me and help me break into the industry like he helped Future. He said nobody knew who Future was until he started working with him. He told me he has a place in Downtown LA and a place in Atlanta. He said he was in Atlanta at the moment but would be coming back to LA in a few days. But he said he didn’t want me to wait until he got back to start recording songs. He said he would send me beats and he told me to go to the studio and record music to the beats I liked. He said I was paying for exclusive rights and ownership of the beats. He asked for the money in advance. He asked me to send it in the next 20 minutes. He asked me to Cash App the money. I told him I’d rather send it through PayPal. He said he didn’t have a PayPal account and that if I wanted to PayPal I had to send it through his assistant. He told me to step into the 21st century that nobody uses PayPal anymore which is complete B.S. I went ahead and sent the payment through cash app.

Not long after K.E. sent me 9 tracks. He contacted me a while later and asked me if I liked the beats. I asked if he could send more because I wanted to see what other sounds he had. He said okay and sent me 5 more tracks. I told him I would listen to them and get back to him. I started writing to many of his tracks and text him to inform him of my progress and let him know I’d be going to the studio to record. He said okay. He said he would be in contact with me frequently to mentor me along the way.

Four days after purchasing tracks from K.E. he sent me a text saying that he was going into the studio with Juicy J and said that he can get Juicy J to do a feature with me for a low price. Because he does a lot of things for Juicy J and he said Juicy J is his brother. I said I was interested but asked what the price was. He told me to hold on via text and then texted me back and said he was able to get the feature for $1000. K.E. said that he would pay half of the $1000 so that I would only have to pay $500. I asked him when do I have to pay the $500 he told me to pay it by that day because his session with Juicy J was that night.

I asked him how is this transaction was supposed to happen if both him and Juicy J are in Atlanta? He said he had been running around Atlanta all day with Juicy J. He said the transaction was easy. He said he was going to play Juicy J tracks until he found a sound he liked and once Juicy J recorded his part K.E. would send the song to me so that I could take it to the studio and record my part. K.E. said that’s how most features are done. K.E. then told me that once I recorded the song not to release it because that would mess up my opportunity to make money. He said he would help me get connected to Juicy J’s Manager who could get us connected to outlets that would pay me hundreds of thousands of dollars to release the song through their distribution channel. He said once I recorded the song and they heard how good I am that Juicy J’s management could provide me with a day to day manager to help get me shows and get my career going. K.E.’s promises and offers kept getting more and more elaborate which is what made me start to think that something about him isn’t right.

So my alarm bells started going off. However, as soon as doubt entered my mind the phone rings and K.E. is on the phone assuring me of his abilities to make this deal happen and that he really wants to help me make it to the next level. And that by having Juicy J as a feature blogs and radio stations would pick up the the song and play it. He said he could get me interviews too. He said that’s the reason he doesn’t like L.A. because so many people here are frauds claiming to have pull in the music industry when they don’t. He said he’s not like that, he has connections. He asked me to send half of the $500 payment in the next 20 minutes. He said it would be okay to make the remainder $250 payment the following day and then he would send me the feature with Juicy J. I sent half the payment.

Later on during the evening something told me to do an information search on the internet to find out if anyone had reported being scammed by K.E. On the Track. Report after report popped up dating all the way back to 2009 of people being scammed by this producer. He makes the same kind of promises to every upcoming artist. He sells the same story over and over. K.E. texted me the same night saying that he was checking in for his studio session that was going to start at 10pm. He did that because he wanted me to send more money. But I immediately texted him back questioning him about reports of him scamming people. I sent him screen shots and links that I found online and asked him to explain. He never responded back and then he blocked me on the phone and his Instagram account @keonthetrack I usually don’t make complaints because I believe that in business taking risks and losses is part of the game.

But this is different. I did not search him out or contact him. He found my account and contacted me. His actions are predatory, malicious and straight up FRAUD. He deliberately seeks out unsuspecting music artists to take advantage of. I know how hard it is for unsigned music artists and taking losses like this can set a person way back. Fortunately, he was not able to get thousands of dollars out of me like he did from other artists. But money is money. No matter how big or small the amount. Whether he steals $500 or $50,000 if you pay someone for something and they run off with your money without delivering or try and trick you into doing something it’s called a Scam.

To all upcoming independent artists trying to get your music heard and break into the music industry. Beware of any direct messages or comments from K.E. on the Track on your Social media accounts. Lesson I learned is if it sounds too good to be true most likely it is. People in the music industry can be just as shady as anyone else. Always do a search to find out if the person you are doing business with has bad reviews before making a payment. Don’t use cash app for business, use PayPal because they have a dispute and refund feature. Always ask for an invoice and get things in writing before making a payment. Don’t let shady people stop you from pursuing your dreams keep going just be smarter. Con artists are good at what they do. They hype up your abilities as well as their own and trick you into paying money for their schemes.

Scam artist.. Taking money from inspiring artist promising them that he will promote them and nothing is being done. When reaching out to him asking questions on how things working out on his promising that he made, he's not answering his cell and blocking his # and also blocking his ig page. Total $ spent on this scam artist around $4000.00. So people be aware of this con artist...He deserve to go to jail.

'Street knowledge' saved me...

I realized some things about him wasn't professional; for example: (1) His beats in his beat store were too wack to be those of a pro (2) He asked for money abruptly without explaining details and information of how the process would take place (3) the email address he messaged from wasn't listed on his home page (4) and the list goes on. Common sense told me that if this "'K.E. on the track'" who did so many work in the music industry was really interested in my craft, then I wouldn't need to spend 'a dollar' to get my music out there because the little that I have to offer could both not get my music where it should be nor pay a man of his 'so called' standings to put time, effort and focus on 'my' career, #impossible. Analyzing all of this, I decided to do a complete research about him to make sure that he is legit before I send a penny to this man; then was when I found some information which eventually led me to this page.... Lol, glad I'm a bit smarter than him, sorry for some of these victims. Do not do things out of desperation for escalation, good things take time. By the way, I am a Jamaican, cannot scam me easily... #StreetKnowledge + #BookKnowledge

K.E on the track is a scammer

One of his goons who pretend to be his manger that goes by “CEO.Trav contacted me for two years straight from 2018-2020 telling me to work with K.E he told me that it was K.E’s birthday and that because of that his artist promotion price went down to 34 dollars. Although this was a small amount that I was scammed Out if I think regardless this guy K.E needs to be arrested and in prison! Mind you I directly purchased his services from his website. He emailed me a few days later saying “I think we can go higher this year, I’m sending you beats record on them and send them back to me. Let’s take over 2020” and sent me 5 trashy beats rather than doing any promotion and then he completely stopped answering my emails.
