In February of 2016, i made an agreement with Justin Nathan to buy a female pick of the litter rottweiler from his Beau x Gabi litter due at the beginning of April. i paid him 200$ via paypal to ensure my pickiing order was held. As April came and almost went i asked him when the puppies were due. he kept telling me they were due any day now. come April 26th tere were still no puppies. Justin claimed the dog self aborted them and that he had her xrayed. So i told hiim i would wait for the next litter Gabi and Beau were going to have. With in minutes i recieved a phone call offering me a 12 week old puppy with Jeneks lines. he sent me a picture of her and the pedigrees.
He told me she was show quality and that she would bring my kennels a name. he claimed that he had her, he called her Nina, and that she had a following personality. i asked him why he would sell me one of his breeding stock dogs, and he told me he was getting out of the breed for bullies.
He said he would sell her for the same price as the originial puppy, but that he could buy one from her later on at the same cost. I again asked him to send me the contract, which I could not open the first and only time he had sent it prior. so i agreed to purchase the 12 week old show quality puppy, that i had full intensions of showing. i then sent him the remaining $800 dollars plus the $275 he needed to ship her.
I had also checked him out on Google, a few other buyers that belonged to a page we belonged to, and a repridable breeder i knew vouched for him.
In the weeks while I waited for the puppy to ship (4/26-5/5), I had asked several times for more pictures of her, the contract, and what her birthday was. I never got any thing but "I'll send them later, I'll email you today, and absolutely nothing on her birthday. He claimed her parents were Bella x Darth as well. on the day she was to ship i had asked for her weight so i could have flea and tick meds picked up for her, and dates she had her shots. he replied by tellinng me she was 30-40 lbs, and had 2 5 ways, and 1 3way at 3 months old.
I had said to him "wow she's pretty big girl". At this point he should have been almost 15 or 16 weeks. he rplied back "No actually 5 moonths I was a month off". at this point i was excited and didn't think to argue about the age. I then later recieved 2 very unlit and poorly taken pictures of her. one she was laying and the other she was standing behind a kennel fence so i could not see her very well. He also told me that he would contact me and tell me when she left his house. i never heard anything of her leaving until the next day, when i asked if she had left yet.
Sturday night, May 7th, I got a call from the transport lady. she said the dog was carried to the car, and wasn't wanting to walk, she was ahving issues with her peeing on herself, and she wasn't sure she wanted to deliver her. They had told her that the puppy was 12 weeks to, so she wasn't ready to transport an almost adult dog, and that the breeder in Mississippi said she was 6 months old, wife also told her that she had no idea where her papers were to send them. The transport was having car trouble so she dropped her off sunday night when i wasn't at home. the next morning I called her still assuming that she got the dog in Louisiana from Justin, and found out that she came from Mississippi from a guy named Mike Goolsby. I also asked her about her rates, and iin the process realized Justin had only given her the 250$ instead of the $275 he charged me. So i told her about that too.
As the morning went on I realized that this puppy had issues walking let alone was extremely unsocialized, and had a large patch of white on her chest, all making her diqulifiable to show. I took her to the vet, where they said they could tell she was hit by how she cowered, that her understanding of the world around her was non existant, and that her flat feet and lowered hocks were a result of very little exercise and probably in a crate her whole life. they estimated her age at a minimum of 7 months by her teeth and completely combed her over. she had a large tick embedded behine her ear, and a pressure sore on her front paw. The vet told me the only way to correct her walking was by waer therapy, and that was a minimal chance because of her age. At this point we also had no idea of her shot records as well.
I returned to Justin, who was still claiming he had her and had no issues of her running around at his house. I had told him I had a mutual friend and the transport confirm that she came from Mississippi, not from him. He admitted to never seeing her. he refused to give me my money back. claimed he would give me a puppy, but i would have to again pay shipping. he claimed he couldn't give the money back because he sent 700$ to the breeder. so at this point he made $325 off of me. He argued with me that until i had her in a show ring with an official dq that she was showable. He also claimed that something bit her and that as she exercised she would get better. He told me to breed her anyways, her puppies would be fine. When he got wind that i was consulting a lawyer he then efused to send another puppy. He claimed at a later point he was a puppy broker and was licensed but never sent me his license number when i asked for it.
A week after recieving the puppy, her papers showed up, and it turns out that she is 8 months old, and the parents were Darth x Vegas. so he decieved me not only on age, but parents as well. Still at this point did not recieve the shot records which i had asked for. he kept asking me for my vet's fax number, which i had given him earlier in the week when i sent the vet info for him to call and verify if he wanted to. He refused to give me his vet's number so that my vet can call and confirm the shots, and as of May 29th I still have not recieved the paper copies of those records.
I know know he was trying to transport puppies at 6 weeks old with no shot records and told the transport lady that he would fake them if she got into any trouble. I also have direct quotes on facebook messenger that he told me he would keep all the money from the sale of those puppies and resell them. he tried to claim that i was the reason the lady would not trransport the puppies. i told him i had nothing to do with that and that she had the right to refuse transport over state lines. I have also talked to a few other unhappy puppy buyers from him, they stated that the puppies they recived were not the ones he sent pictures of.
I've had this Puppy for 3 weeks as of today, she can not walk properly, and hides when we try to interact with her, she growls and barks at my children, and other then cement and gravel she freezes when it comes to walking on anything else. If i can get her to come to me, she will lay down for ear rubs and then goes nuts for more when you stop, but it also depends on whether she trusts you that day or not. i can not take her for therapy, even if i wanted to because she has no comprehention of what she needs to do, let alone is terrified of water. Alomst every aspect of this dog is disqualifiable in show. In total I paid $1275 for her, and honestly she is worth only about $300.
