JPS Health Network Reviews

  • Sep 15, 2019

On 8/2/19 I was brought in against my will, after my brother filed a false report on me.

I was held for six hours without food or rest along side various people who were detoxing, and having episodes. When they finally did serve food, it was in the same room as a woman who had urinated on the floor, and they only wiped it up with a blanket. When I refused to eat in those conditions, they said I was suicidal.

Doctor Ragan took my statement in a hallway without survailence equipment, or a witness so he could lie about what I said. He also said i exibited illogical thought process when I quoted the works of Carl Jung after he asked if I could feel other's emotions.

My mother claims they also twisted her words around and tried to get her to say I was psycotic. In addition they tried to state I had Aperger's even though my step father claims I was tested negative as a child.

The psycaiatrists omitted any facts that harmed the credibility of the family member who filed the false report on me. They also listed my height and age wrong. At one point listing my height off by 3 whole inches. At another point listing me as 'a year old".

They actively refused to give me a simple ice pack. According to my surgeon, this made me lose a week's recovery time, and kept me from going back to work after I was finally released. The social workers claimed they would help me get to my follow up doctor's apointment, and reschedule it when they didn't. They didn't do either.

The nurses refused to give me the pain medication my surgen had perscribed me. Insisted they would only give me one small child size over the counter drug every 6-8 hours, if then. The only other medication they would give me for pain was one that would increase my bleeding risk.

The doctors listed my diet as normal, despite my surgeons precautions about caffine and chocolate dehydrating me. they also continued to serve me high colesterol items despite my request other wise. As well as products containing yeast, even though I had medical reasons to avoid it.

They continuously asked me questions about my sexuality and gender identity despite me repeatedly stating I didn't want to discuss it with them.

The psyciatrist also stated i was informed of all medication side effects before being given any. In reality, the nurses gave me medicine like sleeping pills when i asked for my pain medicine perscribed by my surgeon. The pycs. didn't inform me of any side effects and told me they didn't have any. It wasn't until I was released that another doctor in their network told me about the side effects after I described blurred vission and tiredness while driving.

They Held me for 9 days total, I almost didn't get my bills paid, since I wasn't allowed my personal cell phone, and I had to skip going to lunch to get even a semi private call to pay them.

They performed several unnecesary blood tests. Several for drugs (all of which came up negitive). They did this to find a reason to keep me longer and drive up the costs. In addition, the person in charge of overseeing the tests and results was listed as "unknown".

I was told I would have to sign payment paperwork before being discharged, despite being admitted against my will on false claims. I was also told JPS would cover everything. However I was given a bill after my release for over $17K. Over $10K of which they said JPS connections wouldn't cover. They charged me over $1K a night for a small room I had to share with two seperate people in the course of my stay.

The bed was a plastic frame on the floor with a single matress and a single flat pillow barely larger than my head. the bathroom had a single shower (which you had to hold down the button for a while to get hot water, and keep holding for the water to stay on), and toilet both. both of which were barely more than hip width apart.

The door was about a leg width away from either. This was the only spot in the whole room where there wasn't a camera on you at all times. If you stayed in there longer than a few seconds, someone would open the door to check on you.
