Approached me in parking lot saying he had some laser TV Projectors left over from a job and did not want to go through the trouble of listing or bringing back to his boss to mark up and sell. Said MSRP was 5k and were top notch. Said it came with a $1,800 75 inch screen as well.

Had a company polo on, and was in a nice white F-250 with all the bells and whistles. Said he worked for a company out of Houston and comes up to East TX often for installs.

Asked "How much would you be willing to pay to help me get rid of it?"...Seemed like a druggie and had that sleezy used car sales vibe. At one point, I said no thanks and started to walk away. He pulled out his driver's lisence, business card, and said he would give me a receipt on company sheet and would leave me all his contact details. Said it was legit.

Against my better judgment and because I must be a pushover, I offered him some money.

I opened the screen first and it was wet. Terrible quality! I opened the projector, and it was not anything at all what was on the outside of the box. I checked, and it was listed on Alibaba for $95...A Chinese ripoff. He claimed it was an "LV3000 Smart Projector"...When I google searched it with him standing there, all of these ebay postings popped up for $5,000. I'm sure now that he himself posted them there to fool people.

Watch out for Joshua Gregory Frank in any public place trying to sell you something. He has a colorful tattoo on his left forarm. Ask him about this post and he will just say that he doesnt want to pay for reputation clean up or monitoring or some other clever response. He got me with a projector that was extra that he didnt want to see taken by the installation techs.

He and his partner were in a black escalade using fake receipts, fake warranty codes, and a fake shipping label in a fed ex folder just like the other report said. The product that he sold me works, but is worth about 1/4 what I paid him, maybe.

Just turn and run. You will probably have to aggressive in getting your point through because at one the dude stood between mme and the car door. I dont know how I didnt see that red flag straight away.
