BREACH OF CONTRACT: BRAMPTON SMALL CLAIMS COURT File No. SC-13-00009306-0000 – MY STORY: I obtained a Judgment, pursuant to the Courts of Justice Act, signed by Judith Birchall, Judge, against J&J Moving & Auto Transport, in Brampton Small Claims Court, in the amount of $1,325 plus $200 for costs, for a sub-total of $1,525, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, for a total of: ($1,325 + $200) x 3% interest per year = $1,617.87. HIGH-LEVEL: JJ MOVING was in BREACH OF CONTRACT for not moving my effects from Longueuil, Quebec to Toronto, Ontario despite having committed to a contract to do so. They did not show up at the time and date promised. In fact, they were a 'no show', leaving me stranded and having to pay a higher price for an 'emergency' move by a different company. Secondly, they did not show up in Small Claims Court. Thirdly, they have made no move to pay me the damages awarded to me by the Court. Please see the attached documents.
