My domain green-energy-renewal.com expired 11/17 . I logged in to renew and there were no options to renew as stated in thier instructions . I tried to log in again and was denied reseting of password. I called and when I entered a debit card which was declined although it works everywhere else. I was then given a password to login which did match their password criteria and did not work. I tried to login using google and it was denied. They sold my domain without allowing my eighteeen days renewal. If someone could help me penalize them I would appreciate it. Send info to [email protected]

Thank you

I have called 5 times in the last month to fit an issue with domain pointers and linking my website to my domain name. They keep telling me that my domain name is connected to a website on another web service provider...which isn't possilbe, because they have control of my domain name and it's registered with them. They won't fix it, which is hurting my business, because my website keeps going down because of them.

I have never given my card number to an online product or service. I woke up to find 5 transactions from EIG. First one for 1$ (1.38 cdn) then one for 250. Beware

I have called my credit card company to deny this charge but it takes 7-14 days for a dispute and that is if they deny it per my request. I have never entered any relationship with this company . This company is a rip-off......I want it stopped i have had to close my account

I am no spring chicken and this is the first rip off report I have ever written about a company. I am doing this because I feel it is my duty to warn people about this company. I am committed to making this as factually accurate as possible.

To start off, here is a statement of what they state on their website about bandwidth under core features and bandwidth in their shared environment. This is just one example of many lies they will tell you to get you to join which is the fraud:

"We have no set limits when it comes to bandwidth".

They have gotten away with committing fraud for so long, they are brazen about it and make it obvious. Once I joined, I went to the control panel and when viewing stats, it clearly says the bandwidth is limited to 1/10th of a gig per month. I knew even though I was blantenly lied to, I didn't make a big deal about it then because I knew I would never even exceed the 1/10th of a gig. I don't use a lot of resources.

Whether or not you will have a bad experience with them or not, depends on what you use their shared hosting service for. If you expect to use a good part of what they offer for example, you will be very disappointed because they don't offer anywhere near what they claim. I will get into more details about this. But if all you are doing is hosting a website and you do not plan to use mysql and do not plan on running scripts like php or plan to send emails by script, like grandmaw putting up a website about baking cookies, you probably won't have any complaints. They will host a website but that is about it. Everything else they promise is a lie unless you use very little of what they promise.

The iPage business model is to promise you everything to get your business. A lot their competition will tell the truth and why they don't sue iPage, I don't understand because they are harmed a lot more than any one customer. For example, if most companies limit bandwidth or anything else, they will tell you, and so why would anyone go to a company that limits a dozen things like email address, number of databases, bandwidth, etc when ipage gives you unlimited everything for the same cheap price? That is how they sucked me in. But in reality they limit everything. This is illegal because it is fraud but they get away with it.

I don't spam and have never gotten a complaint about spamming either from a receiver of one of my emails or from ipage but I do send customers emails and I use a PHP script to send them from a list. I asked ipage how many emails I could send via script in an hour and a day and I stayed within the limits they set and within two days of sending out emails via script, all of a sudden my emails stopped going out. It took me over a week of contacting their support asking what went wrong and they keep telling me they are not blocking my emails. So I narrowed down the problem and found out that they were blocking all emails and proved it to them and finally after a total of 10 days only then admitted it. I asked if I had gotten any spam complaint, they said I received no complaints. I asked them if I broke any of their TOS rules, they said no I didn't disobey any of their rules. The reason they blocked my emails was because I was using the resources they had promised and they agreed to and that wasn't ok. Their argument was basically that what they promise is different then what they deliver and that if I want what they promised, I need to pay 10 times more and sign up for their VPS. However, after complaining to support, I did convince them to allow me to send out the emails they promised to deliver.

But that promise of keeping their promise about the emails was just their joke. So now the emails are working again and then I noticed that the PHP scripts I was using to load data into the mysql stopped working. They had always worked fine. They decided to stop my scripts from running because they were using more bandwidth that they wanted me to use. What is interesting about this is that I never exceeded the bandwidth of 1/10 of a gig per month of actually bandwidth they stated I would receive after I joined even though they promised unlimited bandwidth before I joined. They just decided to set an arbitrary number on the fly. When I complained about that, they told me that basically what they promise or tell me doesn't matter. What matters is that they can do what they want and when they want and if I am going to use resources on their shared system, I need to upgrade to vps and pay 10 times more.

So their bait and switch scam is simple. They will give you a huge list of promises to get you to join, you are thinking, wow, this is a good deal and a better deal than everyone else. Then once they have sucked in a bunch of shared hosting customers, they will go through a weed out process. The people who do not take advantage of their offers and just host a website with little or no traffic, they keep. Anyone that goes beyond that and creates a lot of databases when they promise unlimited databases, or uses bandwidth running scripts, or has a lot of traffic on their pages, or even sends out a fraction of the emails they promise, they hit a switch and stop everything from working, not telling you what they did, leaving you guessing at what went wrong, having you burn hours of your time trouble shooting the issues, and will even tell you they didn't do anything, then when you prove to them otherwise, they will admit it and tell you that you are not a fit for their shared system and should pay them 10 times more to join their VPS. They don’t want to admit they lied to you. They would rather you think it was just some fluke that went wrong and hope you will eventually just get frustrated and leave their hosting service. I remember when I first called their support about a database issue I had and he found out that I had four databases when they state they offer unlimited, my support issue seemed to be secondary issue to him and he told me I should go to their more expensive VPS system.

They make their money by how many people they can stuff on one server. The more people they can cram on a server in a shared system, the more money they get paid per server and the higher the profit margin when the cost of the server and maintaining that server is subtracted. If they tell the truth and tell you up from what you are actually getting for the money, they will have less customers to pick from but if they lie and promise you everything basically telling you a lie in every category of service they offer, they will have plenty of customers that they steal from the honest competition. Then to maximize the number of people they can get on one server, they track the usage of all the customers in a usage list and regardless of what they promise, the ones that use the most resources are forced out. They have created some sophisticated scripts that will automatically just stop what you are doing from working and to add pain to misery, leave you in the dark while doing it causing you to run around in circles trying to figure out what went wrong. This behavior is sociopathic in my opinion. Sort of like when one person recorded some guys on wall street before the big crash laughing at how they were ripping off their customers basically calling them a bunch of fools. These guys at iPage are probably getting a laugh out of this as well.

In a shared system, usage rules have to be set, that is true, and it is their right to set whatever rules they wish. But they also have a responsibility to inform the customer up front exactly what those limits are and not lie to the customer to get his/her business. If they cared about the customer or his/her time, they would. But they don't. All they care about is money and the lies they tell you to them is just business, lack of ethics to them is just business, and causing the customer to lose hours and hours of time by misleading the customer into believing he needs to debug his scripts and then forcing the customer to have to move everything to another hosting provider, doesn't matter the least to people like them. I have little doubt that the support people and much of their other staff don't believe they are part of the fraud and sleep well at night because they tell themselves that they just follow company policy and do not set the policies. This is an extreme analogy, but that is exactly what the guards at Auschwitz said. My point is that if they are not part of the scam and just doing what they told, then bascially no one but one lonely person at the top ever does anything wrong. They are the scum of the earth and they get away with it. They should be punished because they do this to people every day. But they won't be and they know it and this is why companies like this exist and scams like this exist. And this was not just some fluke. I spoke to management about this among several others. Taking advantage of people is their company policy.

I hope their competitors will get wind of this because their lies steal a lot from the honest companies.

On several occasions I have contacted iPage hosting to close my account. I had already transferred all of my domains but iPage still shows them in domain central. After contacting them to close my account they then billed my account without permission for over $300.00 after many days of screaming they FINALLY refunded my money.

I contacted them yet again told then to kill off any and all domain names they had listed in my name and to cancel any and all services connected with any of my credit cards.

Today, 03/09/16 the once again hit my credit card without permission as it is a debit card it caused an overdraft fee of $50.00. I have called, ticketed, begged and written to this compony to get them to stop charging me for a service I am not using and do not want. account is under ugetitfree.com yea right free my butt!!!

This company is a scam and a rip off buyer beware!!!!!!

We met with Jay, he represented that he will be a direct lender the project.

Represented that he will need to deposit for appraisal paperwork etc.

after the wire was sent he was just a lose cannon, no attorney from Atlas investments group has contacted us to date to indicate that they want to close this deal.

I have asked for the deposit back but I'm not getting a response

we made it clear in the agreement that he will return the deposit back if he doesn't close

BE AWARE OF IPAGE WEB HOSTING MANIPULATING AND UNETHICAL PRACTICE THAT MAY COST YOU MONEY AND A LOT OF TIME:

I have received my last email on Wed 10/14/2015 10:42 AM despite usually getting several emails daily. Due to my busy schedule, I was not using my laptop since early Wednesday morning, so did not notice anything wrong. However when I opened my Outlook 2.13 email client last night 10/17 both email passwords for did not work. When I tried to log in in my IPage hosting account that did not work either. When I've called IPage tech support, I found out my hosting account was deactivated / deleted without clear explanation nor proper notification. In fact I was receiving generic messages about my billing dues, but nothing specific like hosting services about to expire or notification about renewal.

I was sure that that the hosting service was paid for three years and no other dues were due so doid not pay any attention to those notifications.

Not knowing any of that, when I called to see why my email suddenly stopped working, I was asked to provide last four digits of billed credit card two years ago and no other ownership verification was acceptable. I page never asked for this kind of verification in past two years, never disclosed importance of saving the billing credit card years ago, because of changing the cards information (last for digits) nor provided those numbers with order/payment confirmation for my record.

All my efforts to explain to tech support that is impossible to remember last four digits of my billed credit did not work because when IPage delet hosting account the four digits af billing credit card is the only verification acceptable. The only other way to verymy account, I was told after several phone cals is to send email with a copy of my driver's license to [email protected]. But there is no response from them either

THIS KIND OF BUSINESS PRACTICE IS VERY INCENCERE, UNETHICAL AND VERY LIKELLY DECEIVING FOR PUBLIC WHO RENDER THE SERVICES FROM IPAGE.
