On Sept 30th, I went to the Innovative Men’s Clinic for the treatment of low testosterone and ED. We discussed the various procedures and options for my situation. He said that the first thing they needed to do was to get a blood sample to test for the testosterone level. After a half hour wait, the Dr. reported back to me that my testosterone level was in the 60 range were the low minimum was 200. They did not show me the actual test results but only verbally told me of the results. (I have since gone to a physician with the Franciscan Group. They sent me to a lab for the test. A copy of that test is being submitted. It shows that even though it is low it is twice the amount given by IMC).
The ED situation was discussed and the doctor suggested that I receive a small dose of an injectable substance to see if it worked for me. I received the injection using a spring loaded device by the doctor to inject the needle into my male member. It felt like he hit it with a hammer. I could not believe it and commented on it. He acted like it was no big deal. They then proceeded to suggest what the optimum procedure would be. After another 20 minutes he checked to see what an effect the injection had on me. He remarked on what a large hematoma I had and that I was bleeding. He put a cotton ball on it with no other comment.
The assistant then came in to outline what the optimum procedure would entail and the cost. They then gave me a testosterone injection and supplied me with the instrument and two syringes of the injectable solution. I signed the paper work and paid for the entire optimum solution hoping for the very best results.
When I got home I looked at my male member and found that the left half was all black and blue and ached severely. I showed my wife and she could not believe it. She remarked that I went there to get help not to get injured. We decided at that moment that I was not going to participate in this program. I was not going to participate in a program that would cause me such pain and discomfort. This was not good medicine or medical practice. If a medical professional would cause this, what could I do to myself? Either he was just incompetent or just didn’t care.
Since the clinic is 30 miles from my home we decided that we would return when my next appointment was scheduled for on the following Wednesday as I wanted to see how long the hematoma lasted, which was the entire week.
I kept my appointment on October 2 I explained to them exactly what had happened and took back all of the supplies (two syringes of the Trimix, 2 of the antidote and the insertion device that caused the entire problem) and refused any more treatment. They gave me a form to complete for the refund and stated that would be handled by their Bellevue office. They did not offer to give me a copy of the signed form. I noticed that they did not include this form on their dispute response. Nothing has ever been sent to me by mail or email nor did they ever attempt to communicate with me since that time. They did not express a concern over the injection complications nor have they issued a refund for any amount.
The only things that I did receive from them other than the pain and hematoma was an injection of the sample medicine and an injection of testosterone. None of the other items listed on their form.
I have written and called several time and they will not communicate with me. I am out $2548. Their Satisfaction Guarantee is a joke. If they cannot keep their word on this, can you anything else that they say?
