Ihab said that he had a circuit feeding his kitchen that keeps tripping, and wanted an estimate to repull the line from the panel to the receptacle behind the range. I informed Ihab that we would have to pull the range wires and the existing number 3 circuit for $600 materials and labor and he would have to be there to write us a check when we were done. . If we werent able to repull the cable, we would run a new line for $800 materials and labor. We repulled the cable from the panel to the receptacle behind the stove and there were no more issues with circuit number 3. We also in good faith pulled an additional 20 amp circuit for future use, due to the living room and kitchen were on the same circuit and it would be the same amount of labor to pull an additional circuit in the future. Ihad was supposed to be there to approve the work and write us a check upon completion.
He never showed up, his maintenance guy let us in and imeadiately left us alone. I called Ihad for payment, he said he was unavailable for payment and would pay by credit card. This cost me over 3% of the transaction fee. I had call back later that day to say the kitchen light was not working. I stopped by to take a look and found that the wires from the kitchen light switch went to a receptacle on the wall and the switch wires were disconnected. I informed Ihab the wires at the receptacle were shorted in the ground and that this was a seperate issue from the work that was already performed. He instructed me to do the repairs and bill him. We fished a new line from the receptacle to the ceiling light, reinstalled all the devices and ceiling light and tested everything.
I proceeded to bill his credit card and it was declined. I called Ihab and informed him. His reply was I already paid you! He now refuses to respond to my emails, texts, or phone calls.
