She has been stealing patterns from other sellers and reselling them since 2006

This person has been buying from all over the internet, and since Digital Downloads have been available has also taken free patterns to list and resell on her Etsy site ICKYTHECAT. Most of the patterns she will offer as 'Almost Free' in order to try to prevent the sellers she has bought from making further sales. She buys using aliases so is difficult to track. Now her website ickycat.co.uk lists mostly other peoples work. Not just vintage, some have fairly recent copyright. To stop her would be costly , and considering patterns sell for small amounts individuals would not have the means to follow it up. Collectively they should file a lawsuit against her. Her sole purpose is to put people out of business, and yet she cannot possibly make any money herself! It seems she has good internet knowledge, as she is now blocking IP addresses of the sellers she has stolen from to prevent them from accessing her site. I know in all business there will be copycats and copyright abuse, she is on a small scale compared to designers who have their ideas stolen. Her main crime is being a very nasty person!!

Wish I'd seen this first

This woman is still at it. I recently tried to buy some vintage patterns from ickythecat.co.uk which appeared to be a secure site. The money was taken but the patterns never appeared. I emailed twice to find out if there was a problem with no response, then started to dig around and found she's a scammer.

Because it was from her own website I don't know who to report her to.

On march 30 i place an order for 3 sewing patterns to be delivered digitally. They did not arrive although an email saying the order was complete did. I checked for problems on my email as hotmail is blocking some things. Between 6 pm march 30 and 10 am april 1 i sent more than 6 messages to this vendor notifying them of non-receipt. I provided an alternate email in several of those. No response other than

"here is a copy of your message."

Shame on this seller

Would give zero stars if possible. This seller sent me a PDFs that cannot be printed and then told me I had a technical problem. I asked for it in another format and got a super nasty response. She essentially STOLE my 1.75. When I asked for a refund she went into melt down about copywrite. Rather funny to read for the sake of 1.75. Very dishonest and obviously depraved seller.yS6K

Everything they sell is STOLEN

Finally! IckyTheCat has been taken down from Etsy's selling platform!

She has stolen from everyone that sells restored vintage rare patterns in PDF form.

She is a stone cold thief who doesn't do any work of her own! Only buys other's work and then sells it with her watermark (Ha!) as her own.

Confront her on this and she will go after you! I know. After asking her to stop selling my patterns as her own, she "reported" me to Etsy as having stolen HER work and my site was down for over 1 month. That was a lot of money to lose. According to Etsy's rules, she had 10 days to send me a cease and desist order by the court, or her claim was mute. Of course she couldn't do that as she has no proof that she owns a single original pattern herself. Whereas, I have the original pattern and tons of my saved progress of making all of my patterns/booklets. So, my site was allowed to continue. But I had to go through every ad listing and re-enter it to be on Etsy again. What a waste of time!

She is now OFF Etsy. Wonder who she will morph into next???

And where did she ever get the name "icky the cat" - YUCK, what a horrible name. Apropos for her!!

If you are a selling platform - steer clear of her! She lowers your revenue by stealing from of other hardworking artists on your site and then reselling them for a fraction of the price. Therefore lowering your percentage of the sale!!
