Delivered a damaged product 2 weeks after purchase. I returned the product and asked for a refund. It’s been 3 months since purchase and still no refund.

After receiving my online order for an $1800 computer intended as a Christmas present, ibuypower sent an inquiry about an “address” without specifying delivery or purchaser. Their customer service phone # is perpetually busy rendering them incommunicado. The somewhat testy mail I sent after days of phoning was met with silence. They charged my credit card $1800 3 days after the incoherent address message. They ignored a polite request for a status update.

Fourteen days after receiving the order Dec 15 for my son’s Christmas present they sent a one word message “cancel”. This company is not only incompetent, they are hostile, irresponsible, vindictive, and totally unresponsive via customer “service”. I advise absolutely no one to risk attempting to purchase a computer at this retailer. They have no concept of retailing, service, fair dealing, or anyone’s priorities except theirs. The absolutely worst retailer I have ever dealt with. And I have dealt with thousands. 30 December I received my first intelligible e Mail, which said my money would be refunded. I will dispute as the bank credit card record shows no such refund as yet, and it is now 2021.

Ordered a high end custom computer for over $2,800. Computer arrived with the graphics card (RTX 2080 Ti) being DOA (dead on arrival), which should have been caught during the stress test before shipping. Unfortunately, the replacement process experience has left me dumbfounded. Here is why…

Started the process for an “advanced replacement” for the graphics card (GPU) that was DOA on a Monday (12/10). Was charged on a Tuesday (12/11). Followed up Wednesday (12/12) to confirm everything was ok because I didn’t receive any emails or notifications on the process. Followed up again on Thursday (12/13) only to find out that the order had been cancelled on Monday (12/10) for some reason that iBuyPower can’t explain. This means I was charged $1,400 for the replacement even though a replacement was never completed and now must wait 3-5 business days to see the refund.

Had to start another advanced replacement for $1,400 on Wednesday (12/12) which iBuyPower comped overnight delivery. Annoying but not the end of the world. Here comes the real kicker…I received the new GPU on Friday (12/12), as expected, only to find out they sent the incorrect one! Management now expects me to pay another $1,400, totaling over $4,000 in replacement purchases, to start a 3rd advanced replacement and RMA to receive the correct GPU I ordered the last two times. This means I have two graphics cards that need to be returned before I will see a refund of nearly $3,000 that is floating in limbo.

They still have yet to send me any of the RMA information or return labels, which were suppposed to come with the new replacement. Have left messages for a return call to sort it out and was told I would be contacted, that didn't happen either. This means I can't not get the products returned or get my refund.
