HomeOwners Wholesale Reviews

My wife and I signed a Purchase Agreement with Homeowners Wholesale, located initialy at 200 South Pointe Blvd, Summerville, SC 29483. The Purchase Agreement stated the purchase, options, and pricing of a four-bedroom manufactured home unit that was to be delivered to our home property. We were told that we needed to provide a down payment in order to access the website that would enable us to select our paint, trim, carpet, and other options. We paid Homeowners Wholesale $21,000 via ACH transfer from our bank account.

In August 2017, after many phone conversations with various sales reps, we submitted a development permit with our county, and we were ready for delivery. All the numbers and people we used to call were unavailable or unresponsive. Most of the time, we received voice mail recordings. Our messages were unreturned. Finally, we were instructed to "call Jon Benson in Utah" and given the number 843-628-3613.

Mr. Benson stated that Homeowners Wholesale was “doing great in business”. When asked about the other reps we had dealt with, he told me, “You will be dealing with only me from here on out.” He assured me that he would deliver on his promise of delivering my home.

Four days ago, we tried to contact the company again and received a recording that the number we called was not receiving any more calls. We found 20 customer complaints with the Better Business Bureau citing fraud against Homeowners Wholesale along with a statement indicating that the company "had run out of funds and was no longer in business". A response from the business principal stated that he had "attempted to contact as many customers" as he could to inform them that the company had gone under.

We, like many others defrauded by this company, demand restitution for our hard-earned money lost.

I made my down payment for the home, placed my order and was given a offline date of October 10th. After contacting the factory, I found out this was all lies and they never placed the order. They did an amazing job of lying and leading me on. I hope this helps catch these thieves, if I had funds to come after them for fraud, I would.

Just to let you know that Homeowners Wholesale has truly let us down and we are ashamed of their behavior. For over a year, we have been working with them and preparing to purchase a home to be delivered in Florida. Jacques Frances, our salesman seemed to work tirelessly to help, but when it came down to it, the operations manager, Brock Henning, and supposed owner, Jon Benson, let us down. We are out $33,000 which was provided to them as a deposit for a home. This money belongs to our parents, and our father is a 78yr old retired Veteran.

5 months after the deposit, nothing had been done, and we requested a refund. They have decided to close their doors and not return any money or even speak to us except through their attorney, Mr. Nathan Davis, also of South Carolina. There is no money to return and plenty of evidence indicating that there was little intention to deliver the home as promised when they took our deposit. That is Grand Theft and Lack of Intention. Local Charleston County police and the State Attorney General’s office have been contacted and investigations are underway.

Be warned - doing business with Homeowners Wholesale (closed as of writing this), Jon Benson and all others named, may be of detriment to your money and happiness. If interested in more legal information, or contact information, or attorney/lawsuit information, please feel free to contact us at
