Home Network Realty Reviews

  • Mar 12, 2018

I rented a house from Home Network Realty (HNR). I moved out of the residencce 30 Novemeber 2017, and PCSd to Egypt. I contacted HNR several times in February about the return of my security deposit, but they continued to ignore my calls and emails. Finally, I received an email from HNR with a statement of charges that totaled $704.25. The statement displays that I have late fees from the past that are not correct, and it has erroneous charges for other items. They claimed that I dirtied their furnace by not replacing the filter, but I contacted them upon my initial walk through about the furnace issues. I also have photos of the dirty vent below the furnace area to show them how dirty it was. There was not a filt in the furnace upon my move in, and i do bleive they were aware of the cleanliness of the coils.

I have photos of rat feces in the home upon my move in that I had to clean, as well as the aged gunk in the dishwasher.

I was required to clean the carpets when I moved in due to the dirtiness, and I have photos of the amount of hair in the carpets. The electrical wiring in the house is faulty and I requested that someone take a look at it; and HNR simply told me that it meets code, and never addressed the issue. The walls were damaged and dirty upon my arrival which was shown on my move in chech list, but I am being charged for the same damage that was there when i moved in. The back porch cave in from rotting and rodent infestations, but they refused to inspect it or repair it.

They are even charging me for a certified letter that they never sent. Also, the late fees that they are charging me are dated prior to my renewing of the lease, but was never made aware that there were ever recorded late payments. I made my payment through a slot in their door until they provided online payment, and those are the payments that they are claiming to be late. They are using the date that they received it or cashed the payment, not the date that I actuall placed it in the door.

I am paying them because they threaten that they would sent the amount due to collection if I do not pay by the 15th of March. I have nearly perfect credit, and they are using that agsinst me to pay them money that they know I do not owe them. They also know that I am currently out of the country due to the military and cannot take action to protect myself. They are a scam, and something needs to be done.

This guy Steven is RIP OFF. i rented from him for 2 yrs never being lat on my rent i I recorded and taking pictures of the place before I moved in gave him a copy. also the place was filthy. before I move in I cleaned it up and kept it clean. I reported things to get fixed onlyto never having a get fixed. when people move out of his apartment there is no cleaning with the exception of a guy with a 5 gallon bucket of water a broom and a month as there was no electric or water in the place he was cleaning. I moved out with a 30 day notice and then he doesn't want to give me my deposit back also trying to charge me another $500 for things that were already damaged. I'm glad I kept all of my pictures and records and receipts every time I go to pay my rent he is. Always on the phone arguing with someone about rent or a owner about their money he is a shamster!!! I do not recomend this realator to noone he is sure to run your property down

This is the worse rental company ever. He is rude and unethical. I completely paperwork on September 16th, at that point I put a $500 down payment out of $1000 to secure the property. My move in date was September 23th and at that point I have to make to pro-rated payment to receive the keys. I that, did my walk through, at that point I notice some very important issues, my kitchen sink leaked so bad that it flooded the kitchen and the counters, light switches were no working, fire detectors were not working, upstairs toilet not flushing and most importantly my bedroom window wouldn't lock even though it was locked. My husband went to them saying we wanted those fixed especially the security issue, we were to return our walk through sheet and at that point I completed a work order. I paid Oct rent, Nov rent and Dec rent. When paying Dec rent he mentioned the other half of the deposit now at that point I told him I thought my husband paid but at this point I have to react to the fact that he hasn't fixed anything wrong with this place like they agreed to.

On December 13th bet the hours of 10pm and 5am he dropped off an eviction notice saying I had to pay an amount of $849 or ill get evicted. Eviction notice dated December 6th but he only dropped off on the due date. I reviewed the charges and noticed that he was charging me for the pro-rated rent that I had to pay just to move in, I'm already upset cause I also noticed some other charges that should be on there. At that point I called him, of course angry and I told I'm not paying for anything I've already paid and he began lying about a conversation we had, I called.him out on lying and at that point he hang up on me. Adding payments I've already paid and hanging up the phone on a tenant who obviously has a reason to be mad. Worst customer service and I will be seeing you in court. Believe I'm making everyone around here finds out about your crooked company!

Home Network Realty aka. HnR Property Management started as a recommendation from a previous property manager, who wound up being not so competent as well, and had mediocre experience with them in the beginning. I kept the Home Network Realty employed by myself for approx. five years. During this tenure of employment the level of care and professionalism offered in the form of all property management services severely declined.

I was originally located in the immediate area of my property as well as the company. I would periodically have issues with how something was happening with the property and bring it up to the company. At times while living in the area it was a challenge to get in touch, via telephone, with the proper person to voice my concerns so I would be forced to actually go the physical building and request a meeting. This level of service continued until I moved to another state.

I did expect the same level of performance in my absence, whou wouldn't? This was a large mistake however.

Upon leaving the area the property was vacant for quite some time which I did not attribute to the company but to the current market conditions. So chaulked that up to a no fault loss. Once the property was rented out the communication was fairly consistent during the first year to year and a half after I moved. Once the time line progressed a little bit the level of service was completely void of anything besided processing my payments and transferring them to me. Tenants voiced concerns to me many times regarding the lack of communication on the companies part. Then often times the issues with the properties were ignored. I repeat, the tenant aka. the customer was ignored! This is the singular worst failure in the property management process. Well beside stealing money from the tenant or the property owner. Which this company did inadvertently. And this is why I chose to write this review.

The company was not performing to my level of expecation. So I sent them the information regarding the transfer of the property to a new management company. This is where the tenant really suffered because the Home Network Realty did not attempt to help anything during this process to help the tenant feel comfortable with the management transfer process. Home Network Realty tried to pressure the tenants into new leases early so as to extort money from me on the back end of our business together. Completely unethical.

Then after all of the headache with the transfer of the property, Home Network Realty presented the current tenants with zero dollars, $0 in security deposits. Home Network Realty claimed that the tenants owed months and months of late penalties and fees. These charges magically appeared out of nowhere. Neither tenant was given any notice of this at any point during the lease timelines. This was a clear indication of a company that has no future. I will not recommend this company. I will never work with this company again. Their website makes inflated claims of professionalism and service. I am simply trying to warn any other possible customer to the dangers of working with this company. You will no doubt be unhappy.
