HiLine Motors Reviews

This is the worst place to buy a car. I bought an SUV in June 2017 and it appeared fine so I did not take it to a mechanic. However, the car has performed poorly. The wheels are wobbly and it rides very rough. The car has structural damage which was not revealed to me before sale. The Alignment on the car did not correct the damage.

The lead Salesman, who sold me the car as a great car, left Hiline Motors the next day after I took the car home. The finance manager, who helped close the sale, left Hiline Motors within a month of the sale.

Hiline Motors gave me the wrong License Plate which belonged to another car. I noticed their mistake after a month so I went to DMV and paid for a new Plate. When I traveled 40 miles to Hiline Motors for reimbursement in July, Sam, the owner took the old plate from me, threatened me and walked me out of his business.

Called the dealership about a Mercedes that I had seen online. Was told by Gabe it was pending sale. A few days go by, Gabe calls me and says the car is available, that the buyer was "stupid" and never sent payment for the car but still expected it to be delivered so he was "done with her". He was very clear he would no longer deal with that person and very specifically told me, several times, in fact, that he could sell the car to me.

We worked out a price, which was very solidly in my favor (they agreed to ship it to me for free from Texas to Missouri where I live).

Later that day I received all the sales documents, which I quickly signed and returned. I then went to the bank and dutifully obtained a cashier's check payable to Hi-Line for the full amount of the car, which I overnighted. Checked was confirmed received the next morning.

A day goes by and I call Gabe to ask about when the car would be shipped. He states that he was in contact with the shipper and should have it "early next week".

Another day goes by and I get a call from Sammy saying that he couldn't go through with the sale because the car had already been sold to someone else, the previous "stupid" buyer. Sammy seemed confused while I was talking to him but told me that the buyer had not got as good of a deal as I did. It was pretty clear he didn't like the deal Gabe made, despite it being a DONE DEAL, and so he sold the car to the stupid buyer.

Problem was, they were selling my car because I had already purchased it.

Sammy is a moron and in fact so is Gabe. Cars are big items, and it's pretty hard to confuse whether they are sold or not. Hi-Line probably does this all the time and at a profit to play one buyer against another.

Total and complete scumbaggery and terrible business. Sammy actually had the nerve to ask me if I was interested in any other cars he had because the one I bought was going to someone else.

As if I ever want to do business with these people again.

You've been warned folks, these people are shady as hell.
