Heartland America Reviews

Heartland America has a habit if showing one item in thier catalog and shipping a different one, claiming it is the seller's fault. Their most recent catalog shows a clear picture of a 1909-S-VBD penny, which is rare and valuable. They sent a 1909-VBD penny, which is not rare and not worth much more than a penny. I have sent two emails to the seller, The Matthew Mint and to Heartland, but neither has responded. Their customer service claims it is the seller's fault.

This isn't the first time they have palced misleading photos in their catalog, but it is the worst one so far and they refuse to honor their catalog or to at least send me a return label, so I do not need to pay to send back these fraudulent coins.

Heartland america mail order company in august 2019 renewed a yearly membership without my authorization causing a negative balance in my bank debit card account. very important monthly insurance payments went unpaided.

Upon contacting heartland america,I was told every year my membership is automatically renewed. A automatic renewal on a membership is a bad business pratice and should be Illegal.

I received a call from a Heartland America representative on 09/28/17 that informed me that I had been overcharged from a previous order by $3.00 and that my credit card would be refunded.

He went on to say that to apologize for this overcharge he would send me some Heartland dollars coupons.

He made NO mention of their Value Club or nor did he ask if I wanted to join.

My credit card was billed $29.99 for this Value Club on 10/02/17.

After trying to contact their customer services three times by phone and wait times of 12-15 minutes, I gave up trying to contact them and called my credit card to reverse the charges.

I was credited only $21.99, $8.00 short of the original illegal charge.

I finally got in touch with their customer service and was told the missing $8.00 credit was for the difference in the Value Club price and the regular price of my order.

The cost of the Value Club membership is listed as $19.99 on their website, not $29.99.

I will never do business with them ever again.

In February 2017, I ordered 1 item from a catalog of Heartland America. I am old-fashioned so I paid via personal check and sent it to them snail mail. I saw that the company cashed my check, and it cleared my bank account in a timely manner.

About 1 week later, the company sent me an email and stated that the item I ordered was unavailable (binoculars with built-in digital camera). I then had to send an email to them requesting a refund. They advised me that a refund would be forthcoming, but it could take 4-6 weeks to process.

I did finally receive a refund. The check was dated 3/1/17, but I did not receive it until 1 full month had passed from the check date.

Why didn't the company review their inventory before they cashed my check? Then, I had to wait weeks for the refund. I used to order from them over the years, but their Customer Service has obviously declined.

I am writing this so you can be warned about how this company operates. By the way, I found the same and smiliar products on Amazon.com that Heartland America has in their catalog. Also, Amazon prices are cheaper.

December 7, 2016 I mailed them a check for 2 items that was advertised at $10.00 off any oder and free shipping. Half my order was delivered with no invoice. After going on line I found 1 item was never available. I phoned customer service and instead of offering to send me the $19.99 that I was due they said that they would refund me $9.99 next month. She then lied to me and said I caould not have the $10.00 off even though the catalog said on ANY ORDER. This was the second time I had to contact me as the last time they didn't give me the $10.00 off ANY ORDER that was on the front of the catalogue. I got the charge back that time. This company is lieing to customers and intentionally denying offers and selling merchandise it does not have. Beware..

the sameday. And I shipped the Item back to Heartland on August 26,2016. The USPS

accepted the Item for shipment on August 29, 2016 and sent it back to Heartland. But as of

Bought item via Heartland America's website. Said regular price was $222, sale price $99 + free shipping.

After adding misc. fees, total came to $125. Paid via PayPal. But when I googled to see what other companies were selling it for, I found that Heartland America sold the same exact item on a daily basis on eBay for about $70+$14.95 shipping.

Contacted Heartland America to cancel my order and was on hold for 50 MINUTES. Heartland rep said it could not cancel the order, even though it was not scheduled to ship for five days. Rep said PayPal had to effect the cancel. Called PayPal, who told me Heartland America had to cancel the order.

PayPal rep tried to resolve it with Heartland America, but was also placed on hold for more than 45 minutes and finally gave up.

THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH HEARTLAND AMERICA, AND I ASSURE YOU IT WILL BE MY LAST. I'M FED UP WITH RIP-OFF COMPANIES LIKE THIS.
