I had a contract with Hand and Stone Spa. I have always paid for services. In July, I paid cash. I called on August 28, 2017 and scheduled an appointment for August 29, 2017 at 11:00am. When I arrived, they told me that my appointment wasn't in the computer. I drove 35 miles one way to make this appointment. I also put my dog in daycare knowing that I would be out for a while. I immediately cancelled my membership, and the manager told me that I still owed for July and August because that is what the contract said. I explained to her that I had paid cash for July, and that I made my appointment for August, but the employee that I spoke to on the 28th didn't put it in the computer, so I made a trip for nothing. Now they want to take me to collections for an appointment that I paid cash for and an appointment that I made but didn't receive.
