Government Vacation Rewards is Fraudulent. These are complete liars and one should not subscribe with this agency at all. I was told that they price match and that they are the most affordable vacation finders. This is a lie. First of all, they do not try to find you affordable car rentals. I went on another website and found cheaper. I told them the exact website and the cost of the rentals that were quoted and $196 for a couple of days. For the representative to tell me that all they have are $500 rentals. At that time she told me she can’t look on that website and that they don’t price match on car rentals.

I have been booking my own car rentals since. Which means this GVR subscription is not allowing me any points as far as car rentals are concerned. They are absolutely of no help to me. Next, I called a different time for flights. I found affordable flights online with Frontier Airlines. The GVR representative told me that they no longer have a contract with Frontier. The difference between Frontier Airlines and the other flights was a $600 difference. They did not price match. Once again I had to book my flights on my own and the funds spent on this trip are not going towards my GVR account. I’m completely regretting spending a dime with this company.

If you need to go on a trip just give me a call. Don’t subscribe to GVR because I find better deals than them. And you can also feel free to go on my account that I was dumb enough to pay for. This is a complete scam. I hate that I ever took the phone call. Oh, and the points are not available to you until you get finished paying them the entire amount of the subscription. There are not any free cruises. You pay for the cruise with you subscription. So, the old adage that there is nothing for free…definitely is true. Run away from this program. I am disgusted and from one service member to another run away!

GVR....Liars and a big SCAM!!

I was scammed out of $1,500 for membership. GVR promised HUGE discounts when booking using GVR. For one complete year, I tried booking online with GVR, called them many times (no answer or they would hang up) and never, ever got one single vacation or cruise booked using GVR. I requested a full refund of my $1,500 and never got one cent back. GVR is a SCAM!!!!! Stay away from GVR.

I just have issues with people saying they're govrewards.com.

#1 is, if they are trying to make you think they're government agency, then why not use .gov instead of .com. .com means they're for profit and don't really care about the military from what I've seen.

#2 is that they're using their own employees to write stuff, I wouldn't have bothered writing this till they had one "customer" defending them. Saying how it was the customers fault for not getting what they wanted.

You have the kids (military) relying on them to keep them safe and comfortable when traveling between stations per their orders and you screw them. Nothing like making the kids (military) feel unsafe and unsecure. And, to boot, we ask these kids to go out and die for POS companies that only care about the money. To sacifice they're lives so you can make money. With how the country considers the kids (military) now, there should be no excuse for this.

In my day, I couldn't say I was military, I just found a flop house/motel. and crashed and started driving the next day. There was no time for vacations, plus I didn't know how people would receive me. Already been spit on, pissed on, and that was only the nice stuff, and I couldn't do anything about. I grew up in South LA, I didn't tolerate then but now I have to. Add to that a ripoff company and No Thank You, I think I can do better on my own WITHOUT YOUR HELP.

We booked with goverment vacation rewards for november 9 - 12, 2016. The confirmation stated $586 was going to be the charge. When we received our statement from the hotel on check out it shpwed $374.60 was going to be charged to our credit card thru goverment vacation rewards. We contact gvr as was told we would always receive the best lowest rate. I told them we had always used gvr for bookings but had never received a statement that showed a different rate. I expected them to refund the $212 and was told over and over it was a mistake on the hotels part. Gvr contacted the hotel and was told they only charged the $374.60. I contact the hotel and was told gvr was over charging our credit card by $212.00. That they only invoiced the company for the $374.60. So in the end gvr did not refund us our $212 difference. On another note we had signed up for gvr's rewards program for the last 2 years. We paid over $2,000 to have access to cruises, resorts, and points towards hotel stays. Needless to say that was a rip off too. We never received any of it
