I had joined up golookup.com to get information on me and my boyfriends's background upon joining for 1 dollar for 5 day trial was good until you get to the part where your phone or laptop doesn't provide PDF viewers when clicked on that it costs you $2.95 but yet the PDF doesn't work and asks for $4.95 just to open the viewer when I paid 2.95 twice for my phone and laptop only not to have it downloaded at all. I called the office demanding my money back because it didn't download their respond was sorry once you click it its done and nothing can be undone about it. this really pissed me off because they ripped me off 5.00 buck for nothing, nothing was downloaded or open.

I had to go to my office computer just to see the reports and when we viewed the reports they were so screwed up nothing in there matched at all I had never lived in ohio or in texas and never had been in jail yet it said I did burgery and all kind of things same thing happened to my boyfriend's report nothing in it was true half the dates were so messed up said he was in texas as well and either one of us have even seen texas so the whole report is nothing but a fake and false reporting because nothing in it matches not even was our divorce records reported in there said either one of us had been married or divorce when we both had been married once and divorced once so why didn't that show up? this place is a total ripoff and suggest no one ever trust this place nothing was free at all. totally different from what the advertising said.

Offers $1 look-up, gets hapless marks' credit card numbers, then always fraudulently charges 39.95.

The only way to beat these classic "fraud in the inducement" scam artists is to cancel your credit card immediately following a $1 lookup. Better yet, just say "no" and run for cover.

I used the $1 trial and then immediately sent a request to cancel by email. I received a reply shortly after stating my cancel request was received. Several days later I have a $39.95 charge to my account! I was livid!! I found the number to the company , not too easily, and explained in detail what happened and they tried to tell me I could not cancel by email. I argued that no where does it state that and if so why send me an email reply stating it was received.? Argued further and they asked me to read the email to them word for word then offered to cancel but no refund. Not Happy!!! Again argued my point about the email. Finally offered to refund but needed to charge me a reversal fee of $10.95!! what??? This was their error not mine!!! I asked if that was even legal!!! I demanded the full refund as I still had the email they sent me. They tried to say the email stated I would have to call to cancel. I told then I had the email right in front of me and NO WHERE did it mention having to CALL versus Email to cancel!!! Of course then I was put on hold to speak with a supervisor but when the woman returned to the line she said she was going to refund the entire charge. So my advice to anyone else scammed by this company is to stick to your guns and save all correspondence with them. They try ever excuse to get whatever they can squeeze out of you!!! The number I had to call was not easy to find but it is 1-877-890-2213. Good luck!

On April 15, 2016, I used golookup.com services a couple of times. They said they would charge me $1.00 for the trial. On 4/20/16, they charged my account $39.99. I called them up. They said they would reverse the charges and gave me a cancellation #of 435929. They said I would immediately receive an email with the confirmation number. 2 hours and I'm still waiting. I will go to the BBB and feds if they don't reverse the charges immediately. I'm serious. I won't put up with being scammed. Janice M.

On 9/01/2017 I logged onto Go Look Up to look up a phone number that called me. It was supposed to be a Free reverse phone number look up. but they wanted to charge me a small fee, between $1 and $2. they informed me that they found the Phone number that I was looking for, but after I entered my credit card information I was told that they couldn't access that number. Since the amount I paid was so small I just let it go and didn't think anything of untill I checked my Bank statement today, and was suprised to see a charge of $48.22.

This is to place all persons on notice that intend to utilize the "golookup.com" services to STAY AWAY from them.

I signed up for the $1.00 5 day trial to run a few names. Upon reviewing the "results", I quickly noticed that the said reports were NOT accurate.

Upon noticing this descreptancy, I called the company (877-890-2213) and requested that they cancel my acct.

I was told by the representitave that my acct was deactivated and was then told that no refund was going to be issued. I challenged them stating that since it was"free trial" and that no notice was on their website stating that there are no refunds, that they would be compelled to refund said money. I was told by a superviswor that a refund was approved and was given a refund conf # as well as a cancellation #. I was also told that I was going to be receiving a email from them confirming the closure of said acct. To date, no email has been received.

I attempted to login to the supposed closed acct, and was still able to do so as well as run names. I immediately contacted the company and advised them of this, and was told that there was a glitch in their system and that in a few days that I would no longer be able to access the acct.

I warned the company that if I see any further deductions from my bank from them, that I will take legal action.

upon further investagation, it was noticed that the company has two (2) Class A IP addresses and both of them ping back to Amazon.com.. I questioned them on this fact and they declined to provide a responce to this.

My advise to everyone is to stay clear of this company, as they do not even appear to be based here in the states, and do not have even the common decency to actually close out an acct when requested to do so.

I paid a $1.00 plus pdf $2.95 during the trial membership. On top of that, I got billed for a monthly service fee of $43.98 which I did not agree on. So I called their toll free number and spoke to one of representative. The person I spoke to was great, she was able to well explain as to why I got charged. I then realise I forgot what I read the very first time I signed up about the Terms and Conditions. I admit it was my fault because I did not call within the trial range.

And since it was for unlimited search, I utilise all their services offered and happy with the results so far. I don't regret with the billing, anyway it's worth the amount I paid for. KUDOS to the company. I will tell my family, friends and people I know of to use go look up. Lovely of California.

Go Look Up

Used Go Look up 10/2/16 for the $1.00 ( 5 day fee ) n then looked at my online checking 10/12/16 n they withdrew $43.98 without my AUTHORIZATION, called the # listed on my debit screen ( 877 ) 890-2213 n proceeded to throw a Hussy Fit, the lady to me they would put the $ back in my account 3/5 business days, n gave me 2 #'s to track it with, it is 10/12/16 now n I will be tracking the refund! Don't anyone use this company, this is probably another why we should not belong to the United Nations!

On january 25, 2016, i signed up for a "free trial," for five days at golookup.com. After exploring the services offered and finding them to be inadequate and not-as-advertised, on th same day, january 25, i send an email to [email protected] to cancel the service. I received a reply from a faith kelly at customer support acknowledging my email to cancel but saying that i had to call them to cancel by contacting the billing department.

At the time, being very busy, i saw no reason to call, which to me was merely a ploy to attempt to talk me out of cancelling. There was nothing disclosed in the trial supscription documentation that stated that customers who signed up for a free trial would have to cancel by calling and yet to be disclosed billing department number and that they could not cancel by email. Since my visa card had been billed $1.00 on january 27 for the so-called "free trial," i assumed all was well and the account cancelled. I promptly forgot about this company and service and never used golookup.com again.

However, having put the $1.00 charge for the "free" service on a card i have on auto pay and use very little, i did not notice that golookup.com continued to charg me as a member on febrauary 2, 2016, $34.95 for the month of february, the same for march, and then $39.95 in april and may. I caught the unauthorized charges in may when reviewing accounts and doing some budget planning. I promptly called again to cancel and spoke to a representative who said they had no record of me cancelling or of an email, so cancelled my account as of may 24. As a result, i ask to speak with a supervisor; it was clear and the representative admitted that i had not used the account since first exploring it in january for a few hours. The supervisor supposedly had a very long line of callers waiting to speak to her, so i declined to wait. Instead, i called my visa card company and filed a dispute of the charges, which were backed off.

The best cure for dealing with such company's is to steer clear of so-called "free trial" offers, which in large degree are themselves ripoffs. A company who offers such free trials should have to make it very clear how you can cancel, and emailling should via the web should be a common way to do this.

I had to pay for bogus information. Information misleading. A day over cancellation. Iwas told that I could get half of my money back. I received no information. It was the same info. before I gave my credit card. Total ripoff!!!

This company is a scam! My stolen ATM card was used by someone and this company ripped me off $35.95. I contacted the company and told them what happened. The representative told me that I would be given a refund. That naver happened. My bank filed a fraud charge with golookup.com and discovered that there was an ISA fee. This meant that this company works through a bank in a foreign country and that it would be next to impossible to get a refund. I had to freeze my bank account and get another ATM card with a different number.

If you are wanting to look up someone, go to a company that is reputable. Golookup is ripoff and should be put out of business.

They advertise free report, spent almost an hour dragging their feet to make me waste my time to then ask me for credit card to give me any information. When I refused to, it gave me an option of a free trial, except the free trial required me to give them a credit card anyway and then I could cancel it in 5 days or they will automatically charge me $35 a month but offers no number or email address to cancel. What I resent the most is that they force you to spend an hour pretending to get to the moon so by the time they ask you for your credit card you figure well, already wasted this much time, when the main reason you went into the site is because they advertised as free.
