I am a senior who lost my job due the covid virus pandemic, and I got behind on my car payment. I called GM Financial to see what help they could offer, and they were very nice and allowed a forebearance plan of 3 months. But after three months, I still could not find a job, and so had to make another forebearance plan, which I did. They requested that I make a payment to bring the account up to only 3 months behind, which I did in August, 2020. However, on the Sunday morning of August 30, 2020, a repo man rang my doorbell to repossess my car anyway.

I view this as a breach of the agreement we made. So he took my car, leaving me no way to take my wife to her cancer treatments, or go get her medication. GM Financial says that they really do not want the car, but apparently they just don't want me to have the car.

I went to purchase a new Suburban yesterday and the dealer ran my credit. It was destroyed. From a 760 to a 515. Because of GM Financial Reckless attack against the American tax payers.

For several years GM Financial has sent us mail and emails on our Chevy. We turned in the car at lease end in March of 2019. We never received any communication, no mail, no phone call and zero emails regarding any additional charges due.

Rather than contacting us as they had in the past for years (I would have arranged payment timely) GM Financial chose to place a serious delinquency in litigation on all my credit reports. Irreparable damage for years to come.

GM Financial course of action has not only trashed my credit but they have lost me, my children and my children's grand children and are going to be loosing tens of thousands of more customers as I shall continue to voice how they are conducting business with the American consumers that bailed them out. To add to their self infliction I shall be persueing a large sum of punitive damages. No matter to me of a loss. I will create a massive mountain of litigation so they will have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars with their legal teams. Costing me nothing but time and my mutilated credit reports.

On May 4 2018 I wrongly sent GM Financial a electronic payment that was supposed to go to a different creditor. I then sent them my payment for my lease on May 25 2018. I contacted them asking them to reverse the payment and they refuse until I prove the money came out of my account, even though they have my money in their account. They know full well it came out of my account because they have my money.

I contacted them Oct and November late last year about this issue and their general reply is that someone would follow up in x amount of days... No one did. I sent another email in December no one followed up about the same issue.... I sent a disgruntled email less than a month ago and STILL NO ONE FOLLOWED UP And then tonight I check my email and I received a general email addressed to all customers meaning I'm not the only person that's complained about them not reporting correct payment statuses. So not only did it take more than 150 days to get a reply they still never directly addressed me concerning this issue by phone or email as their website States within less than a week work of business days.... This has prevented me from refinancing my car because I've never been late but who knows that.... No one but them and even when I contacted them about refinancing the conspirator told me they only do new loans so yawl are holding me up not because of delayed payments but because of your system according to this email that I just received.... I could be paying d**n near $100 less a month had they not been being fraudulent.

I have been a customer with general motors for over 20 years now and then back in 2013 I leased a Chevrolet Malibu, this car was a complete lemon with major mechanical safety issues which put me and my passenger's at risk of getting seriously hurt or worse death. I've complained multiple times on deft ears for over a year and still paid my monthly payments ,I tried unsuccessfully to get the car's mechanical safety issues fixed but instead of taken care of these major safety issues, they continue to force me to drive this death trap accident waiting to happen until I got fed up and decided to file format complaints against general motors and ally bank who was the lease holder of the car. After my complaints were filed general motors decided to do the right thing and get me out of the car. I've decided to give general motors another chance since I have been a customer with general motors for over 20 years now. I didn't have any problems with the 2017 Chevrolet Malibu but I stated not receiving my monthly statements for no reason but continen making my monthly payments, when I finally enquired as to why I haven't received my monthly statements, general motors claimed they didn't receive 3 payments, I said that's impossible since I have always paid my monthly payments on time without fail. I asked them to tell me exactly what months they were talking about and I offered on many occasions to find out what happened to those 3 alleged mis payments ,everyone I have spoken had no problems with me trying to help locate those allegedly 3 lost monthly payments. I told them it would take some time to have an investigation conducted by Western union and that it could take anywhere from 90 days to 6 months because western union has to make sure that those money orders weren't cashed or stolen which is fair and then western union would reimbursement me and I would in turn send them the money for those 3 alleged lost payments.

General motors didn't have any problems with that and had agreed but than all of a sudden without warning after they agreed that I have time to find out what happened to those lost payments which is my strong belief that those allegedly lost payments have been misdirected to another account because I might have not included the account number on the money order but rather than allow me to find out what happened to those allegedly lost payments that they had agreed to let me do, general motors has just pulled a fast one, they now have filed to have my leased car repossessed which is wrong and unprofessional and unethical business practices. I've tried to get them to reconsider this nonsense which they are refusing to comply, it is my strong belief that general motors is definitely retaliating against me for getting them in trouble for filing formal complaints against them for allowing me to drive the 2013 car with those serious mechanical issues, how petty of general motors has treated me, its probably happening to many others especially we the tax payers have bailed them out. I'm encouraging everyone out there to boycott general motors until they learn to treat their customers with dignity and respect. I am exercising my constitutional rights to freedom of speech and freedom of expression to inform the general public about my experience with general motors. Let the buyer beware. Thank you sincerely Paul priore

This company has failed to report payments sent in monthly statements have false amounts owed and fails to report ontime payments to credit bureaus. I reciently applied for a VA mortgage but before hand tried to contact GM financial to update my credit file first through phone contact, was sent to Credit reporting that they did report and correctly, was told by Credit bureau that they do not report monthly payment amounts. My credit file loan balance was inaccurate have not reported a payment since 1/17 it is now 8/17 posted 5-6 thousand dollars more then I had owed on the financing. Disputed with the credit bureaus this is reporting on my husbands file as well as mine both are inaccurate and different as far as payment status and balances. I may get denied my VA loan due to this company. I fully intend to take legal action against them if they do not correct these payment statuses and balances. I have been fighting all this for a year and will not stop until they correct the innacuracies

I don't know where to begin this company. I will start by telling you that I am a professional small business owner so I understand the importance of customer service and what it means to the success of my business. I became disabled about a year ago due to a car accident that was of no fault of my own. You can only imagine the impact this had on my entire life professionally and personally. Due to savings being my only income and that running low and me prioritizing my life, I contacted Gm financial (AMericredit) myself before falling behind on payments and informed them that I was dealing with a financial hardship and they could note on my file and update my employment/ financial situation and address because I had to move in with a caregiver following my accident .. I'm talking I've hit complete rock bottom.

After a month of falling behind and the harassing phone calls I told them I was waiting for money to come in, a settlement from GM due to a lemon law claim (which is a long drama within its self. CLASSIC CHEVROLET SUGARLAND,Tx- DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM, THEY SOLD ME 2 LEMONS this car I'm writing here about being one of them. I'm talking I've taken this car a 2015 Chevy Trax in 18 times to the same dealership where purchased in less than 4 months for malfunctioning break issues, so they settled on a small amount of 5k which more than half went to a lawyer. They should have been buying this car back in the lemon law claim seeing that they bought the first one back & put me in this one. So I feel in some way this is retaliation & them getting the car back at my expense!)

So at the time this money was the only thing extra I had coming in and I wanted to use it to pay the note I was behind. I have yet to receive the check from that claim! I ended up falling a 2nd month behind on my payments and I called them on April 24th to see what my options were to keep them from repoing ....because I hadn't heard from GM financial and everyone knows how they will harass you when you're late! The representative I spoke with said there was nothing she could do because I couldn't provide payment then, and that it would continue into repo status. I explain to her I can't lose the car my caregiver and I use it to get me to and from my appointments and things so there had to be an option and she insisted there was nothing. Like really no sympathy for anyone? I asked to speak to a manager and a guy name Steve presented himself and offered the deferment option! I said ok and he explained the terms. He sent me an email to accept the deferment and send back with a pin he provided and a 1-800 # to call and make sure it was accepted! I provided him with a post dated check, which he agreed to take. I called about 36 hours later as directed, the deferment was accepted.

So at this point I'm assuming everything is fine! May 10th I called the office to see if I could give them another account number to draft the payment because someone was going to lend me the money and allow me to to draft the payment straight from their account. We spoke to Shirley and she handled the transaction, I explained to her I needed to cancel the check on file so it wouldn't bounce and draft the payment as described before! She took care of this and told me everything was fine and that my next payment wasn't due until June, ok thanks! Again I assume everything is ok, until today June 15th I get an email from Onstar that may car had a theft alarm go off twice. I call Onstar to see ad THEY inform me that my car was repossessed!

So of course I AM PISSED! I paid the deferment, and was told multiple times it was approved, and it drafted from my friends account on 5/15! I immediately dial GM FINANCIAL and SEAN in recovery solutions is being of no assistance! He tells me there is no manager around to see what went wrong! He told me I was wrong about my deferment plan date then he realized I was right and didn't apologize for accusing me of being wrong! He EVEN admitted that the deferemnt was in place properly and "someone" should have cancelled the repo filing and they didn't! He tells me he would send an email to Steven his boss to check into it! I asked him how this happened and what recourse do I have seeing that GM is obviously in the wrong here! He had no answer but that I would have to trust his word and I told him that wasn't enough seeing my experience with this company! At this point I NEED HELP PLEASE! I AM SO PISSED and I don't know what to do! I did my part and GM still screwed and now I am left with nothing!

In February 2017, I made arrangements to pay a payment and a half per month because I am behind in my payments. around the middle if April they informed me that that arrangement was no long valid and I would need to make 2 payments per month. I am behid in payments due to the fact that I no longer have the income that I was making when I purchased the vehicle. I left RadioShack in August 2014, and started falling behind in payments around January of 2015.

I have used all available extensions or deferred paymets, and when I asked if there were any available programs, I was informed that GM did not have any programs for these cases.

These are my complaints; 1) GM will call 2 to 3 times a day, 2) send email threatenening repossesion, and 3)don't they have certain collection rules to follow just like any other company?

I am currently unemployed as of 3/28/2017, and I have not received my unemployment benefits to date. I from my experiences with GM they do not care about htis. Their only concern would be for me to make $598.98 x 2 = $1,197.96 per month.

So here is my story. I have/had an auto loan with GM Financial. Everything was fine upon until I lost my job. I decided to do the right thing and contact them to set up some kind of payment arrangements. Not only was I told there was nothing they could do to help me, they agent I spoke with noted that I called in for a deferment. Then they started sending me emails telling me to call in and they could offer assistance. How are you going to say you are going to offer assistance and then tell the person no when they call. So time passes and the account is behind and the same cycle continues. Then the automated phone calls start, and I was then told that my account would be OK if I could pay the past due fees which I did. Not only did I pay the fees, I sent in a payment on the account. Keep in mind I'm still unemployed with no income coming in. Fast forward. I walk out of my house to take my daughter to school and find out that the car has been taken. OK that's all good I was behind on my payment. I was able to find a job, so I call to find out what needed to be done to have the account reinstated. I was told that I had to submit proof of my employment and a contact in the hr department. So I fax in my offer because that was the only thing I had and I provided the contact. I call in to make sure everything was received, and I was told that the they couldn't accept the offer letter. Ok, so I contact HR to find out how to get a letter verifying my employment. Well the company I work uses theworknumber for employment verification. So I take the time to create an account so I can provide that to GM. I was told that they don't accept verifications from theworknumber. GM could have easily called the HR department of verify, but did they? So I log in and generate the request and the fax it to them after leaving a message for the supervisor who chose not to return my phone call. I called in today to check the status since no one called me like they said they would. My whole complaint is your are expected to call them if your financial situation changes and I did that. Why have people call if you aren't going to provide assistance?? They are very unethical and have no morals. Not to mention the supervisors are rude.

My Husband and I contacted GM FINANCIAL concerning a payment arrangement and the payment arrangment was accepted to the term of a certain day to have payments there. We asked the repersenative wil it be any isdues or problems with our acvout duecto tjis arrangment, SHE STATED NO IT WANT BE, but it will if payment is not received as agreed. So as always I check my email once a week and that is Saturday. Because my email is strictly for business purposes only. So if I have to get back with someone of importance, that is done that day or first thing Monday morning. So I received an unexpected email from Ariel Obrien Thursday the 21st @ 6:19 pm an hour and half till they close. So when I did check my email it was message from her and she said to contact her back as soon as possible, but I check my email at my time frame. My emsil acvount is not a social network, only if it job related or personal business. But the email that was sent to me was not mentioned with the repersenative or an option for us at thst time we spoke with the Rep. So by me making the proper arrangments to avoid things going on my credit report. Ms. Ariel Obrien or someone else took it upon themselves to place a 60 day late hard copy on our credir reports. Besides Ms. Ariel Obrien sending me an email a call from her with the options she stated we qualified for would have been a more professional way of doing things and especially after payment arrangments wete already notated in their payment system. I am shocked and upset for her doing this to our credit reports after arrangments were made for the payment. This was so very wrong and if we were not qualifed for the arrangment we should have been told that over the phone. Me and my husband made clear to assure ourselves that our account would not be affected, but that was not true and we asked the repersenative enough times to be clear thst our account want be affected. But she did make clear if the payment was not there as agreed it would affect our account and that to me our credit report, if payment is not there as agreed. We both said okay to that agreement. This was totally wrong and unproffessional. To me it is like the repersenative did not do her job correct. We were not suppose to receive that arrangment. Thank you! Tina K.
