Global Car Connection, LLC. Reviews

When it comes to whether I recommend this dealer, the answer is no. When I purchased this car everything seemed fine. As soon as I drove about 100 miles to school, guess what? Check engine light. I was sold a lemon. Before I get into the details of my car, I will tell you exactly how Sam does business. He seems to always be in a rush or have to be somewhere. First, I thought maybe he was a busy man but after the car I was sold I can only assume that maybe he was a paranoid man maybe of the customers, due to the fact that he will completely ignore you.

So on purchase day, he was stressing that we had to be there physically to cash the check. I had never heard of that since my check was written by my bank and signed by us(my mom cosigned). Even the bank teller of my bank told us that once we signed it we were good, there is no need be there physically. We got to the bank and ONLY because Sam wanted to deposit the check immediately, we had to be there.

Sam likes to deposit checks immediately so he can run off with your money and never speak to you again. I called him the same day of purchase (4/25/18) but he did not answer. Oh I forgot, Sam is not big on answering phones but he will text you instantly. I got in

contact with him the following day immediately after receiving a diagnostic asking questions like why is my mileage reporting higher than what is written on my odometer and informing him how fast the check engine light was on. He acted dumb about the mileage and we made a deal that he would pay $100 towards a new camshaft position sensor because "i wrote such nice reviews." He stated to mail it saying he was going out of town like immediately and won't return until Tuesday, but I made sure to drive back to GA to receive that money. I purchased the car Wednesday, so Tuesday would have got him passed the 3 days mark for us to cancel our check through our bank for protection AND him in the clear for NOT being responsible for any repairs. I called and called, but he refused to answer. I even tried to be courteous and wait until Tuesday and he never returned my voicemail, texts or anything.

We called from a different number to purchase a car, guess what? He set up a time to come see cars very quickly. Upon arrival, he recognized my family and immediately said, I am not fixing the car, it is not my problem. He told my father me getting a diagnostic from Autozone was not right and that I needed to go to an Audi dealer to see whats wrong with the car. I had an appointment already, I was just waiting for my date to arrive.

Upon receiving my diagnostic this is the list of issues with the car and why it is deemed as a lemon to me and confirmed by AUDI:

1. Both motor mounts need to be fixed 2. When accelerating/decelerating the engine shifts 3-4 inches 3. Engine is leaking oil from from the camshaft cradle and rear main seal, (they also noted that reseal work was done previously but the wrong sealant was used BUT this

information is not reported in the car fax so this dealer did these "repairs" off the radar.

4. The core support is broken

5. Belly pans are missing

6. 3rd brake light is not working

7. Main engine harness is incorrectly routed

What they did find that needed immediate attention besides the things mentioned were static faults in cylinder 1 variable lift solenoid. The found connector wire was physically broken. They said that might help keep my car from cutting off in the middle of the road so I got that repaired. I was not able to get my timing belt checked due to the pricing at the moment (I put $400 into repairs already), but it was determined that this might be the main cause of the rough idling I experience while driving, as well as the engine misfires I am constantly subjected to. The total estimate for the repairs listed above amount to almost $4000 and that is excluding any electrical repairs and the timing belt.

In his contract, he says as is/ no warranty but oddly he offered one. He raved about it all up until the point of purchase. The warranty provided does not cover ANY of the repairs listed above. In fact, even the repairs listed are only capped at $500. They do not pay it for you, they will only reimburse you and who knows how long that takes.

Bottom line, the warranty is just a ploy. It does nothing and this dealer does nothing. Sam knew this warranty does nothing and he knew this car was terrible but he passed it off as "a good car." How he passed emissions, I do not know because I cannot get the light to stay off for anything.

I wrote this review only with the intent to save someone from a bad car experience. I trusted this dealer as this was my first car purchase and I wanted a car that would not break down monthly as my last car did. I was so happy about this car and had not been happy for months. This happiness was short lived (24 hours). I am fortunate to have not gotten into a fatal accident when the car shuts off in the middle of driving, but I am broken from this event. My trust is destroyed with this company and dealer completely. Instead of being a responsible and professional dealer, he took advantage of a college student and her elderly disabled father. Save yourselves the stress and money.

In my closing statement, if the price seems too good to be true, it usually is. Please be smart everyone and spend that extra $3000 at a dealership that cares about your safety and their reputation as a dealer.
