I’ve paid this so-called “trustworthy” company at least $144 for filing my documents for Uncontested Divorce and also I’ve paid extra $89 for guiding the proceeding. Ok, it isn’t a huge price, BUT!!! They did nothing!!! I waited for almost a month and they were in silence all this term! When I asked them about my documents, they told me to wait for two days more. In this term they also did NOTHING!!! I called them three times, but nobody answered. I decided to have money back, but they told me that it was my FAULT with the PREPARATION OF THE documents! I needed to get my divorce fast, so I didn’t have any time for arguing with them. I have just applied to another truly reliable site and solved all my problems. But!! That was not the end! In ONE MONTH AND A HALF, I received an email from them to continue our cooperation! Oh, my Lord!!! Don’t waste your money on such a company!!! I AM STILL IN SHOCK!!!

So on the 3rd of March I was inquiring about how to file for divorce. I came across getdivorcepapers.com. They promised a quick interview and then they were to prepare my divorce papers and i could download them and print them off for $139. They also guaranteed the papers would be excepted by the court or 100% money back. I Did it. I signed up, entered my card and began the interview. Their interview took 3 hours of answering question online and you have to verify every answer for each section as you go. I completed it all in one sitting. When I finished it said my answers had to be reviewed by a caseworker and they would prepare the forms and contact me within 2-4 days. This is when I realized my bank notified me they charged me $169. I logged back in and looked over my order. It listed the service I ordered $139 plus a handling fee of $5.95 for a total of 169. Now last I checked, those numbers did NOT ADD UP.

I emailed them. They gave me this spiel about they are now required to ship all forms due to needing special quality paper to be excepted by the courts. This sounded dumb but I really didn’t want to do all the prep and research to do the filing myself. So I said fine. I accepted it and waited.2 weeks LATER- I get an email that my forms are ready. I must review them and send confirmation with where I want them shipped before they will ship them.

So I start my review and realize they entered my social security number wrong. Now remember I said I had to double verify all my answers. I know I did NOT mess up my own social. So I follow the directions to correct my forms. (Only 2 corrections allowed) I have to do through the entire interview again to correct and then email the caseworker to let them know where to look. They also had a box on their site to fill out to make them aware you made changes. After doing all of this, site said changes would be reflected within 48 hours. 4 DATS LATER- NO CHANGE. So now I’m annoyed and I start chatting with their "help chat” she looks it up and says the case worker will correct them that day. Then I get a new charge for shipping for $25.99. I immediately log back in and go back at the help chat person. She gives me the same spiel about all papers have to be shipped n special quality paper. I ask what the 169 was for? She tells me I have to contact finance. And to wait to hear from my caseworker.

THE NEXT DAY- I get an email finally saying my firms are corrected and they need confirmation to send. I review and send confirmation as per their instructions. DAYS LATER- now Mar 28th I get an email saying I’m going to be charged $34.99 for a monthly subscription to keep my account active. If I did not pay this, my account would be locked and my forms would not be accessible or shipped. Back online I go. I sent customer service multiple emails and went back to the chat help. I was infuriated that one month had nearly gone by and I had not been provided anything for my near $200 thus far. No papers and now more fees! This delay was of no fault of my own. They were the ones dragging their feet. She explained how to go into my account and disable the monthly subscription. I inquired about the statement about them not shipping my papers if I did so. She said they NEVER received confirmation. I had screenshot my confirmation to them. So I sent it to her. She said she’d forward it to their "mailing department” and I would STILL receive my forms even if I disabled the monthly subscription. So I went in and disabled it. I logged back in to verify it was done. On April 3,2018- I get charged $34.99 for the monthly subscription. I log back in and my account says "ACTIVE”. I go back in the chat help. She says I have to discuss it with the "finance department” and gives me "[email protected]”. I do this. I also disabled my account AGAIN. Mind you- I still have NO PAPERS!! Support emails me back next day to say my forms are being shipped (haven’t actually don’t it yet) and they will be crediting the $34.99. On April 11,2018 I get my forms. To date- April 14,2018- no credit has been issued.

Furthermore after going through my forms I realize all pages say "texaslawhelp.org” on the bottom. I’m also annoyed that only my name and my spouses names have been filled in. My instructions tell me to fill out all the forms. Then they added some document at the end that was a typed up "agreement” actually listing everything from my interview with a place to have it signed and notarized. This was NOT a legal form. My "legal forms” were blank besides my names and completely contradicted the "agreement letter” they added. How am I supposed to file two opposing forms?! As I’m studying this and sorting this 40 page pile of papers I realize theirs forms here that completely do NOT apply and my answers in my interview clearly explained that. So now this "texaslawhelp” website is getting to me. I get online and realize that it’s a FREE SITE that lets you download divorce forms and gives detailed instructions on how to complete them, what to complete and where and how to file.

These FRAUDS at getdivorcepapers.com charged me OVER $200 and simply went online and printed the entire "tool packet for an agreed divorce with children” page for page off the texaslawhelp website. They filled in my name and shoved them into an envelope and shipped them to me, THATS IT. So I paid $169 on 3/3/2018 + $25.99 for shipping + $34.99 for an imaginary subscription to what? I could have printed off the forms from texaslawhelp MYSELF since I have to fill them out ANYWAY!! Furthermore once on texaslawhelp- I realize it listed 2 additional forms REQUIRED with each filing. They didn’t print those. (There was a lot of links - I guess if I was snagging forms from a free site n charging people for it and had no knowledge of what I was doing I’d probably miss it too) So now I get to PRINT the missing forms myself from texaslawhelp.org and Fill our my entire divorce degree with the answers I already gave and paid getdivorcepapers.com to enter for me. I will also be disputing these charges with my bank.

HEED MY ADVICE AND DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! And don’t believe me? Go look up on their site on how to request a refund- there is an entire page of exclusions to their guarantee that basically excludes every state and states that if you can’t prove the court didn’t except the papers from their error, you will not be refunded with a page of items they are making your responsibility even though it’s EXACTLY what you are paying them to do!!!

This is a scam legal document website. Here's how it works:

Pay us $144 and fill out your divorce papers online. Great.

At the end of the process, "hey, you document must be reviewed by our legal department." For expedited review, pay $89.

Ok, I'll wait and didn't pay.

Next, they send out a notice saying the documents are ready for download about a month later.

When you log in, they say, "oh, it's been more than 30 days, so you need to pay another $25 to download."

When you call in to ask for your documents, it's obvious that this scam is being run from India. Even if they did send documents, which they never did, I'm would have no faith that these fraudsters prepared them correctly.

Avoid Get divorce papers.com and go with a reputable firm in the United States!!

After paying in full and completing the interview process I was informed my papers would be ready to mail out to me in 3-10 business days. On day 8 I contacted customer support hoping for an update as my spouse was impatient. Customer support did not respond.

On the 12th working day my spouse filed. I immediately contact GetDivorcePapers to inform them and request a refund as I got no email reply and still no papers and was told I was not entitled to a refund. Papers were ready the on day 13. Which were never mailed because whats the point? I was later sent an email saying the same, with a link to the refund policy which states that if it's discovered spouse filed first they would refund. I sent them emailed proof of the papers I was served and now cannot any response to my inquires to resolve this. Merry Christmas!
