General Motors of Canada Company Reviews

My Chevrolet Silverado extended cab Z71 4X4 5.3LV8 FLEX FUEL 6 1/2 ft. bed with LEER color matched Topper on it and only 34,456 miles on the odometer has developed leaks in the cab of the truck that have led to premature rusting of the rocker panel on the driver side and a ruined headliner due to leaking water coming in even with the lightest of rain shower on the passenger rear side of the cab. I have notified GM CANADA and GM NORTH AMERICA about this problem that the more I investigate the more I find out is a pretty common problem with many CHEVROLET SILVERADO/GMC SIERRA OWNERS of most any year truck dating from the year 2000 to present 2017 models. There are enough cases of this problem to sue GM with a class action and force a recall and a solution to the problems I and many other GM Truck owners are experiencing. A simple google search will bring up a plethora of videos and online forums where truck owners are either diagnosing or complaining about the same problem as my truck.

GM ,at least in my case, has offered to pay 25% of repair costs to fix the problem since my truck conveniently just ran out of warranty. My truck has been kept very nicely. As I said earlier I only have 34,456 miles on it and have kept up with all maintenance and caring for the vehicle. It leads a pretty pampered life and yet this still happens? You would think that since we bailed GM out of bankruptcy with our taxes thanks to Obama, that GM might want to be a bit more accomadating to me since it is their poor quality workmanship at fault here and that is also what led to their bankruptcy trouble to begin with.I have always wanted a full size truck which until recently I have never been able to afford but I worked hard and finally got the truck of my dreams. You would think after paying $34,000 - $60,000 for one of these trucks that you could be reasonably assured of a certain degree of quality. NOT SO IN THIS CASE! I warn all of those who might read this to never ever buy a GM product unless you want to be taken advantage of. They don't care about the little guy. No service after the sale. I have been treated as a second class citizen right down to the so called "diagnosis"they did on my truck. They claim it is leaking in from the third light on the back of the cab of the truck but never took that light off to look inside it to see if that is where the leak was. So they say it's leaking from the rear middle of the cab through that light however water only shows up in the right rear corner. Then we have paint peeling and rust through on the driver side rocker panel. God knows where that is coming from. The dealer charged me $139.00 for this expert diagnosis. At least they washed my truck for me afterwards. Guess what? The leak started again right where I said it was. so basically I paid $139.00 for a misdiagnosis and a car wash and now I have to pay them even more money to fix this leak and put in a new headliner. After that I have to find a body shop to fix the rust in the rocker panel area of the driver side. i'll tell you I wish I had my $34,000 back so I could buy a Ford or a dodge. I am being bent over and screwed by GENERAL MOTORS. They should be recalling these vehicles and fixing them free of charge. There are enough people out there with the same trouble as me. If anyone has the same issue i'm on twitter and have started #mygmnightmare and my handle is rocknrik. If anyone knows of what to do about this or knows a good lawyer who can get a nice class action going let me know on twitter. Not sure how this will turn out but we will see how it goes. STAY AWAY FROM CHEVY/GMC and all GM products. They build high priced low quality vehicles and they don't stand behind them after the sale. Buyer beware!
