SCAM

we bought a time share at Puenta Pacifico in Mazatlán in Feb 2013. Galileo Global was a gift they gave us because of the cost. Last Apr we were approached by phone by a guy named Adam Clapp who gave us a speel about selling to Mexican TRIVAGO . long story short we were the victims of fraud for $25,000.00. please be aware. this company is bankrupt.

While in Mazatlan I went to a presentation about Galileo Global Vacations. This was not a time-share presentation as I normally go to while there.

Myself and another family member attended the presentation at the Torrenza Boutique Mazatlan. We were told all about Galileo Global Vacations by Thomas Johnson. He showed us how easily the program worked online and how we could book flights through this program. According to Thomas we could book flights, cruises, Disneyland vacations, hotels, car rentals and several other things through this site.

Supposedly we were to have "VIP Charter Benefits" and for $5000.00 we would get 100,000 weeks of credits equalling $1,000.00 per week. Thomas showed us on his computer how we could log into the Galileo Global site and exchange our weeks for flights, cruises, etc.. If a flight was $500.00 we could use 1 week of time bank the other $500.00 into reward credits. We spent approximately 7 hours going over the plan with him and making sure there were no loopholes and nothing else other than a $99.00 administration fee we had to pay every year.

We eventually signed the contract and were told that we would get our password for the site within 30 days.

After returning home and waiting for the password, it eventually arrived. As soon as I got on the site I knew something was wrong. It was not the same site that Thomas Johnson had shown us in Mexico! I immediately called the customer service number that was listed. I was told by the woman that answered that they only booked weeks of vacation and if I wanted to get a flight they could book us a reduced cost flight. I told the woman that our weeks were supposed to pay for the flights and she told me she had no idea what I was talking about.

I made several more calls to customer service (funny how the same couple of women always answered) and never got anyone that could answer ANY questions. Their constant response was that they would email me with an answer.

We were promised that many airlines, like SouthWest, American, United, etc. could all be used through their site. Thomas showed us a lot of information on how to easily book our flights and book the VIP Rewards and all of it turned out to be false as far as we see at this time.

This is a very short version of what we went through over this "deal". We have contacted Visa and are waiting to see what they do.

Scam!!

My family and I were vacationing in Mazatlan over the 2016 Christmas holiday and while there we were talk into a presentation. We went and they presented us a deal with buying our existing timeshare and making money off it in return. We paid over $5,000 (USD) for this amazing deal at the time. When we returned home we checked out the company and all we could find was a bunch of bad reviews. We tried getting our money back from our credit card and had no luck. We are still trying to settle this.
